This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
As always, please update your review/rating for this new update to the game, as they will reset. Positive feedback, and your support, makes it possible for us to update the game. You don’t want Fred living on the street, do you? Do you?!!!
Just a quick little update this time, to address some of the biggest requests we’ve had for the game. According to our crack research team (Fred), many of you want two things, and you want them NOW:
- A pause button! While you’ve always been able to pause by exiting the game, we’ve added another way to pause. Just tap the ZenDots title at the top of the screen. Not only will it bring up the handy game menu, but it will now also pause the game. While you’re on the menu, admire the fine craftsmanship of the layout. Brings a tear to the eye, it does. It’s like a game unto itself. A really really slow game. When you leave the menu, your game will still be paused. When you’re ready to play again, just tap anywhere on the screen, and your game will resume. Magic and science, in perfect harmony.
- More access to free dots! We get a fair number of emails from players who watch a lot of video ads for free dots. But often, the video ad company doesn’t always have enough videos to show. We’ve now added a second video ad company to the mix! That’s right, two sources of free dots, instead of one! That’s like twice as many as before!* Hopefully that will satisfy your thirst for dots, dots, dots! And remember, it sometimes may take a minute or two for a video ad to be ready, once you’ve launched the game. If an ad isn’t ready yet, try again in a couple minutes.
Thanks to everyone for their support! And please update your ratings/reviews, or Fred will cry. An ugly, ugly cry. Nobody wants that.
* Math is cool.

- 100 new levels! You gave us lots of positive reviews and support, so here’s a bunch of new levels! One of them even has a pony! Please update your review for this version, as the ratings reset with each update.
- Bug fix for levels over 200. If you got past level 200, you know what I’m talking about. It was Fred’s fault!*
- Small tweaks to the flipper logic. Small, but powerful.
- Slightly taller touch zones for flippers. The target touch areas are at the bottom of the screen, below the game field. However, if you’re a rebel, and like your thumbs up higher, the touch zones go up at least half the height of your screen. If your flippers aren’t responding to touch, please move your fingers slightly lower, as you may not be in the touch zone. These are mega sized touch zones! You could play the game with your fists, they’re that big!
- Added a rule reminder in situations where the last white dot has been lost, before all the color dots have left the screen. Remember, you only score when a dot has left the screen. And you can only finish a level if all the color dots are gone BEFORE you lose your last white dot. Sorry for any confusion this has caused. Thanks, Fred.
- A small subset of players are finding the game a bit stressful, due to concerns about all the falling color dots. No need to worry. Just let them fall off the screen, like colorful little raindrops. You get points when they leave the screen, not for hitting them, nor for keeping them in play. Keep your eye on the white dot. It’s your friend. Don’t let your friend fall down the drain. It would be sad and lonely, down there in the darkness. So cold. So very cold.
*I lied. It was my fault. There is no Fred.

- Exciting new level types! Fun shapes and patterns! Colors, colors, everywhere! Whoa.
- Fixed all known sticky flipper bugs. Full apologies to everyone who was having that issue. Now they're slippery smooth. Not sticky!
- Stuck white dot recognition. If your white dot gets stuck for more than 15 seconds, it fixes itself. If it still doesn’t fix itself, just touch the white dot, and it will reset. When in doubt, touch the dot, and everything will be okay. Promise!
- Other small bug fixes. So tiny, and so cute. But now, they are no more. Weep not, for they had evil in their little hearts.
- 5% more zen! That's right, 5%! That's one more than 4%!
Tips for success in ZenDots:
1. Don't hit both flippers at the same time. It's usually better to control both sides independently. That's how you can control the white dot.
2. Controlling the white dot is key. Just hitting it randomly could cause a lot of chaos.
3. Practice trapping the white dot on your flipper. If you can stop the dot, and then choose your shots, you will start learning how to control the flow of the game.
4. Let the color dots go down the drain, rather than keeping them in play. As they interact with the white dot, they may cause you to lose the dot when you don't expect it.
5. Keep your focus on the white dot at all times.
6. Try not to aim for the center all the time. There is more chance of the white dot falling down the drain if you do that.
7. Practice different angles with the flippers. There are a ton of angles you can pull off in the game. It depends greatly on where the dot is on the flipper, and when you decide to hit it.
Thanks for playing ZenDots! If you love the game, please take a moment to leave a positive review/rating. If you’ve already reviewed or rated the game, we would be extra shiny happy people if you could update it for this new version. It matters. A lot. Great reviews enable us to keep updating the game.
Thank you!
