Description
Battle of Okinawa, April, 1945. Crouched behind the trigger of an anti-aircraft gun on the destroyer USS Callaghan you wait, scanning the sky. Black dots on the horizon... Japanese Zero fighter planes... lots of them. There's just one thing between them and the lumbering aircraft carriers of the Allied Fleet: you. Can you do this? How does it feel? Cold as the bottom of Pearl Harbor is how it feels. You bare your teeth, but nobody would call it a smile. The time has come. It's Zero Hour.
Press START to begin game in touch mode. Drag your thumb on the screen to aim the gun. Press both thumbs on the screen to fire. In addition to shooting down planes you can also shoot torpedoes before they reach you (easier said than done).
To play using the tilt feature, press CONTROL on the title screen, then START. Aim the gun by tilting the screen, press the screen to fire.
The ship's seaworthiness is measured by the bar to the lower left. Enemy sortie number / enemies shot down appears above it.
P.S. The captain would appreciate it if you did not fire at the bridge of your own ship.

No mute?!?
This program blares its music and sound effects even with the iPhone's mute switch set to vibrate. There's no setting in the options to mute either the music or sound. And the music and sound are very annoying! The controls are way too sensitive. A creative concept, but it definitely needs a lot of work.

A Nice Start But Needs Work
*Revised review 12/4- Thanks for the update :) Frame rate much better now. Much smoother. I bumped it from 3 to 4 stars. Fun game, but still could use some variety.
Frame rate a little slow. Needs more variety in targets. Kamikaze planes impossible to shoot down. No way to mute the sound.
The game, however, is playable, and a great concept. Could be a lot more fun with some improvements.

Good game here. I have just one request. How about different levels or something of the sort instead of shooting down plane after plane untill you die. This would give the player more of a sense of accomplishment. Just a thought. Thanks

GREAT GAME, WELL WORTH 99 CENTS
Great game, though it has sloppy controls, quite challenging aswell. I would like to see in a future update: different sceneries, enemies, upgrades (ship & weapons), and the possibility to switch to different gun turrets. If no one agrees with me on this one, I'll believe that I'm crazy and expect too much...

This is a great app for ipod touch! i have a game like this for the computer and personally i think the one on the ipod touch is better!!! i do think you should be able switch from different weapons on the ship. also amazing price

Fun, will entertain for a couple of hours
This game is fun, I know it'll entertain me during class, and I hope that I don't end up shouting out loud. Gameplay was a tad laggy, but I can only expect so much.

Tons of Fun!
This game is great! It's challenging, addicting, and super fun! The controls are a bit tricky, but not too bad. The graphics are great and the music and sound effects are good too. Definitely worth $.99

Better then expected
I EXTREEMLY like it you feel like a soldier in ww2 but you have to destroy the missles and the planes at the same time or else the ship will get damage. if it can not take anymore it explodes and it's game over. BUY IT!!!!
