Description

Wondering how today's allergy forecast will affect your seasonal allergies? Are your seasonal allergies so bad that you always check the pollen count and allergy map before you head out for the day? The Zyrtec® AllergyCast® app helps take some of the guesswork out of managing your allergies. It uses advanced technology developed by Zyrtec® allergy experts to predict how your allergy symptoms may make you feel so you can prepare for each day. It's like a "real-feel" forecast for your allergies!

Personalized Prediction at Your Fingertips
When you start using the app, you’ll receive pollen levels and a generalized symptom severity prediction based on data including local pollen levels, weather conditions, and air quality. To unlock personalized symptom severity predictions, simply sign in and track your symptoms. The more consistently you log, the more personalized your symptom severity  predictions will become.

After you've started tracking symptoms, you'll get a daily symptom severity prediction, as well as a forecast for the next several days! It's calculated using unique-to-you factors like your tracked symptoms and the local weather, with some help from Zyrtec®'s allergy experts. This rating, on a scale from Low to Severe, lets you know how your allergy symptoms should really feel that day. The more you track, the smarter and more personalized our predictions become.

Midge1987,
Pretty good app
This is one of the better pollen-count apps I’ve used. It’s easy to navigate and it gives you all sorts of information about weather and how it effects pollen count and subsequently your allergies, as well as the pollen forecast. I already know what I’m allergic to so the app didn’t really change much for me. I do wish for some feature changes/ additions: on the tracking log I wish there were check marks for asthma and itchy skin; instead it’s all upper respiratory symptoms. Which I understand with it being a Zyrtec app. It’d also be nice to have a place to check off what pollens you *know* you’re allergic to and get notifications on days when those specific allergens are high. Maybe they’ll see this comment. Regardless it’s a good app to have.
Be Kind1,
Love this app! Best allergy website or app I have found!
I have used this app for many years, I highly recommend it! Becaus of this app I was able to figure out I’m always sickest when juniper is listed and molds. I was able to tell my allergist who tested for those and more, and it did turn out I was in fact most allergic to those. As we moved, I’ve been allergic to different things and it’s helped me narrow down what causes the most reaction or when I’m on vacation sometimes I will start feeling sick, not sure if I’m coming down with something, often I’ll check the app and find that where I’m at is high in mold or juniper. It’s fun to learn how easily my body detects certain allergens and also more easily help figure out whether I may just be coming down with a cold. I also like the forecast part of it, and have found that to be reliable too. I love this app!
A lot of options,
Good Experience
I am a newbie but I am having a good experience so far. I really like the fact that I can take a look at what is high in our area. I am also doing the logging in so that I can determine what I’m most allergic to based on the information that the app will provide me. I’m very excited about this. I will continue to use the app. Unfortunately I’m not a daily user but who knows. I will update my review in a couple of months to see where I stand since most of the concerns seem to be after you’ve been using the app a few months.
Lauren2114,
Great MOST OF THE TIME
This app does a great job at forecasting my symptoms and telling me the top allergens in the area. However, there are days that the app doesn’t work at all. Today is one of those days, it’s very frustrating. It says the pollen count is NaN/12 and that my symptom forecast is at the very bottom of the scale when I’ve been having the worst allergies of my life. It won’t even let me log symptoms. I deleted the app, logged in and out, redownloaded it, everything. And it’s still this way. I’d love to know if everyone is having this issue or if it’s just mine. Hopefully they fix it soon so I can get back to being in the know about my allergies.
Jolie Rouge,
This app is almost as annoying as my allergies
I have had this app installed for years, but I never recall having an issue with signing in. Now there is no place in the app to sign in, only create an account. When I try to create a new account it says to sign in with my existing account info. Problem is, there’s no place to log in, only create a new account. Dumb. Also no place to retrieve existing login info, like forgotten password. But of course that’s not since there’s no place to login. I’m sure I can find the same allergy info I can get with this app from another source I already have on my phone. I don’t see the point of keeping this app installed when I can only access a limited amount of features.
Tisha876,
Love it ... but
I love the app.. I download it every allergy season I help me mange and predicted how bad my allergies will be for day and the week.
My only draw back is there is no way to back log. So at 12:01am Sunday morning whe I’m heading to bed I like to log how bad I felt on Saturday (which ended a 2 mins ago) and I can’t because technically it’s Sunday now. So I miss an entire day Of logging because of a minor technicality. And if I make the mistake of logging it not paying attention to the time it throws my predictions off.
Mac Guy 13,
Would be neat if it worked
Seems like a cool concept. But the app is so incredibly slow. It worked fine when I downloaded and before I created an account and logged in. But now after logging in, it’s virtually unusable. You see the loading/splash screen stay there for 45 seconds. Eventually the app opens and I try to submit my symptoms, but I get the loading screen again. 60 seconds go by. Maybe it’s a cool app and maybe it would’ve loaded eventually, but it seemed frozen to me, and I don’t have the patience to spend 10 minutes every day just to enter a couple of symptoms.
jbfroembling,
It was great a couple years ago now it won’t load
This was hands down my favorite allergy app. I used it for years without issue. Then 2 years ago it started crashing every time I tried to open it. It was updated and the new issue had became logging me out and forgetting my password each time. Then updated again and now it just spins and says “calculating” but never loads. This has remained over the last 2 updates. I wish this worked like it use to. I still keep it on my device because I hold out false hopes that one day, this will be just like it was years ago.
Manderlyh1981,
Allergen information is helpful, BUT symptom tracking is terrible
The allergy predictions is helpful. That’s why I added the app.

However, the symptom tracking is silly. I have year round allergies, and my most common symptoms aren’t listed as options.

This makes the fact that I’m asked to log my symptoms stupid, since I have to lie about my symptoms if I can’t any type of prediction data for my allergies. 🙄

I never have watery eyes or a runny nose, rather my eyes and nasal passages dry up, and my throat is dry.

I get an asthmatic cough induced by allergies, and that’s not an option.

My ears are sometimes more congested, (and swell), and they ITCH, and that’s not an option.

I get sinus headaches when my allergies are bad. Not an option to log.

My eyes swell and dry up when my allergies are bad. That’s also not an option.

Sometimes my skin is itch when there’s too much pollen in the air too.

So unless you’re going to add more symptoms into the app, I agree with others-the symptom tracking is annoying and not helpful.
onetruenorth,
Quite helpful
I didn’t expect much, but I’ve actually found this app pretty useful. When I realized that it was often on track with my more severe allergy days, I started using the predictions- when it shows that the next day is likely at severe high levels, I go ahead and take extra allergy medicine at night. This is helping me wake up with less symptoms and I don’t have to wait until the next day to ‘go into battle’- I’ve already started preparing.
