In general, I hate anything resembling a “match 3” type game. This is, but isn’t. I also play games to relax so making it easy enough that I don’t get frustrated is amazing! It’s a logic/strategic game and a mayor/town game at the same time. ‘Tis fun! Ads are there but are occasional. And they’re always the 5sec ones if it’s a rando pop up one. And after each level it gives you an option to watch a full 30sec and for 2x the amount of diamonds and that’s amazing! If I don’t have many then I skip it, but if I do really well and end up with 75+ diamonds on that level, it’s totally worth 30sec. I think there’s an ad free version. But it’s not that bad tbh. The amount of diamonds you get and how easy it is to earn them is perfect. It’s never frustrating bc usually you can play a level until you make enough diamonds to buy a booster or something. That’s awesome! Like, even if you lose the level, you still get your diamonds. Love that. As a poor person who loves games, this is perfect.

Everything about this game is incredibly well thought out. The art and animation are cute and clean yet detailed w lil things like the docked rescue boat gently rocking in place as it would IRL. And the style has its own unique charm even in today's ubiquitous kawaii/cartoon genre. I love the variety the VIPS + treasure and whirlpool levels add. UI/dashboard is exactly what you need, nothing you don't, no zillion tabs to navigate. Unlike some building+match games, both elements feel balanced and part of the same game w each having their own joy vs one being superfluous or a slog. A few notes: There is an option to turn off hints, but I wish you could just lengthen the timer since they seem to show up after only 5-10 secs. Overall, gameplay is pretty intuitive and instructions are presented clearly w/o being obtrusive, but it did take me a while to figure out water height goes from darkest to light even tho that's genius, as well as the dotted lines between tiles. Oh, and the sparing use of ads is 👌🏼. Thank you for making this wonderful game!

This game is so fun I can’t stop playing and I use all the diamonds I earn on hearts. I downloaded it on my tablet to play during breaks during shows but I’ve noticed I’ve sat and played it for hours at a time, I’m almost at level 150 now! I love how the castaways give you notifications of when time is almost up to rescue them because I like to imagine that they are being ungrateful and saying I’m too slow to rescue them, so I usually try to rescue other survivors instead during the time to complete the quest just out of pettiness. I also feel like the survivors are ungrateful because just rescuing them isn’t good enough but I need to risk my life on the dangerous waters to get their belongings even though I have everything they need on my island. Very fun and I like the basic plots.

Pros: good graphics, bit of variety in challenges so even tho it’s all “match 3” it doesn’t feel too repetitive, ads are almost exclusively voluntary to earn extra points, so you don’t *have* to watch a ton if you don’t want.

Cons: for the “sea challenges”, when you match a certain shade of blue, it changes to another (and eventually to land tiles). I played well past level 200 and I could never remember the order OR sometimes which blues match. It’s really frustrating. It also seemed random as to where the matched tiles would merge. As with most games like this, you expect the difficulty to increase, but it truly seemed random. Some levels marked “hard” were so simple, then sometimes a regular level would be literally impossible to beat unless you used “power-ups”. At a certain point, it just lost its “fun” value for me. But it’s worth a download (at least for a bit…)

Such a great, no stress game! At the time of this writing there are 1050 levels, and they release around 50 more each month. In between those times, you can still play randomly-generated levels where you simply try to see how many survivors you can rescue. They also have recurring events.

So waiting for new levels is no big deal, and during the waiting times you can hoard a huge stockpile of gems to use when new levels are added, in case you need to spend some for a few extra turns on a tough level.

I’ve been playing for so long, I can’t remember if I had to pay a nominal fee to ditch ad-watching. If there are ads, definitely pay to get rid of them, because this is pretty much the only game where I don’t have to watch stupid ads.

What a perfect time-waster that challenges your mind just a little bit, nothing too crazy difficult, and no wifi needed. Perfect for waiting in lines, doctor offices, or anywhere when you’d like something to do in between daily activities.

If I could give it more stars I would, thanks so much to the developers! Keep those new levels coming!

Updating to add that not enough vip characters show up between levels.

1. Add more contrast between tiles 2. Add option to go through tutorial, sometimes I forget how to get survivors on a village 3. Skip button so I can move to next level 4. Shorter gameplay length between benchmarks. Like to get to next thing to make Island bigger, I need to rescue 150 players which is at least 15 levels assuming they’re all straight save survivor. This gets a little old and makes the game feel tedious. In general, very cute and innovative. It really tugs at my heart to save cute little survivors and sometimes I wanna save more if possible. Love the decorations very cute. Overall very nice and unique game.

I’ll usually play 2-3 levels, then it may be 3 or 4 hours before I play again. I like the different type games and the different strategies for each type. Love the graphic style. I wish there were a way to get some helps with diamonds instead of only using them on session extension.
I have managed to make it to lev 105 without having to pay any IRL cash. I have had to use helps, and occasionally use diamonds to finish up a level.
I also like that you can recover health hearts over time.
I have found that some of the “hard” levels are super easy. Barely an inconvenience. But others quite difficult.
All in all one of the more engaging game apps I have played.

First off, this game gets 5 stars alone for not being a glorified ads player like 99.9% of games out there. They’re almost entirely optional, and I don’t mind watching one here or there to get some extra currency and make sure the devs get a little compensation.

The cute and colorful graphics with interesting mechanics make it easy to play a set here or there while I’m waiting. It’s challenging enough to be mentally stimulating, but it’s rare to get stuck on a level for more than four or five tries.

As a bonus, it feeds my nostalgia for those matching games I used to play on Neopets as a kid. But the UI isn’t so cluttered that I feel like I’m in a *cough* candy factory explosion.

honestly, i’ve become completely and utterly obsessed with this game. it’s so calming and although it’s like any typical matching game, the vibes are just immaculate. i sit during study hall everyday playing this game. it’s so satisfying, while also challenging at times! i also LOVE that there are NO forced ads!! instead, you can choose to watch ads for extra rewards (which i often end up doing because there aren’t ads every 2 seconds like other games). this game is perfect for road-trips and relaxation! again, emphasis on NO FORCED ADS!!! love love love this game, thank you to all the developers and producers of this game, your hard work will not go unnoticed!

This is a fun, unique spin on match 3 game. I’m about 50 levels in and have noticed two issues that could make the game better:

1) Add more contrast between the blue ocean tiles. Some of the middle blue tiles are very similar in hue. I notice I’m periodically trying to merge tiles only to realize they are not the same color, but visually they are so similar to not distinguish quickly.

2) Add a skip button to the survivor arriving on the island animation. It’s getting pretty old having to wait to play the next level, watching the survivors hop off the boat and getting on the island before I can play the next level. It’d be nice to have a fast-forward or skip button.
