Description

When two cousins are shipwrecked on a remote island in Alaska, it’s up to you to help them survive, escape, and maybe even discover why there are so many security cameras out here in the middle of nowhere...

57° North tells a gripping story with hundreds of decisions and multiple endings that depend on the choices you make. For an even more immersive experience, it also works with the Merge Cube (https://mergevr.com/cube) to bring gorgeous illustrations to life in the palm of your hand. Just don't get too distracted looking at the scenery... we've heard there are bears on the island.

mggyjtfuytgiuy,
A bit scary for my age...
I’m only a child and I think this is an awesome game! But when the boy gets to the cables and sees blood on it, I get an eerie feeling. This game should not be for kids 8 or younger. Please note that. I haven’t gotten to the end but I have a feeling that the boy will get electric huted. I really don’t want anyone younger than 9 to see that because the graphics might make it a bit scary for young generations. Please do not add such scary things in your next games. So far, please keep up the good work in future games! Also, I might have an idea for another game: you are any animal you want and you start out as a baby and then grow to adult. Kind of like WildCraft. Thanks for reading my review and I hope your games aren’t as scary next time! ;)

Like a million months later, I edit this:

I like it and it’s not scary now that I’ve finished it. But please try to make future games longer, not that this game isn’t already long enough. I hope that you make more story games like this one because I really enjoyed it. But when I did get it I thought it would be like an RPG or something so, I have maybe one suggestion for a future game-an RPG based on this story. I think that would be awesome, and even more awesome if it was multiplayer. Thanks for reading my review. ((Please respond to this!
Fishbowl z,
Good story & graphics
Worth a play through or two for the story, but it lacks on the “choose your own adventure” aspect. Only a few options towards the end will make a difference to the outcome. Unfortunately, to get to them you have to sit through the entire thing each time. It’d be nice if there was a way to skip to various chapters after the first time through, or maybe an option to “backup” decisions to try a different option.
tayder toots alot,
AMAZING!!!
I loved this game it was so great I am so happy with it it was so much fun the different turns you have to make to have different paths I tried it two time and the first time I only left with Sasha but the second time I left with Sasha and Caleb I loved the way this game ended I really enjoyed this game and I hope there more to it I’m only 12 and I though it was a very anxious and uplifting I was so nervous to see what would happen next and I love that there are so many different paths to choose that lead to different parts I loved this game I really hope that there are more games like this that you have made because if there is I will gladly play them because I love games like this that are super intense and you have to choose different paths to escape and do other things I really really really love this game and it was so much fun to play.
BoosDude43,
Pretty good
Solid game and love the art style. The choose your own adventure aspect is pretty cool, and warrants another play through after your original one. The story is somewhat linear, though you choices can bring about a couple of different outcomes, but you can get some more info on the story by making different choices.

I wish it was longer so we could learn more toward the end. Getting this for free was a steal, and would love to see a sequel following this plot line!
isa 8749,
(Who else is writing after getting during Free Week?)
I must say, this game is interesting. I’ve seen reviews about it not being worth its money, which I have gotten it for free during the Free Week. And it’s NOT worth 2.99. While it may be super interesting, especially for how there are different outcomes, I wouldn’t spend 2.99 on it. Gotta day though, the gameplay and graphics are amazing! I love the look of the game. 5 stars for sure
Hand boosted,
Fantastic!
The endings were well down. The story was fantastic and the choices had consequences which made them feel real and rewarding! I had fun playing this game with my brother and by myself. The narrative was fast and the narrator was wonderful to listen too. I hope more games for the Merge Cube come out soon!
graceskye,
Short and simple
I had fun with this game, however for the price it was extremely short. The story line was very ambiguous and limited and I do think it could have been expanded. Playing multiple times but making different choices doesn’t really change too much of the story. I noticed even when I changed a lot of my decisions I still got the same outcomes. Hopefully the developers will make a more complex game, because I really would have enjoyed this much more if I could play it longer!!
objectmaster,
Um, very short story and limited options
What caught me in the description was the numerous possible outcomes. That’s somewhat a stretch! Many decisions will lead you right back to the main story line without affecting it. Only the choices you make *RIGHT TOWARDS THE END* actually contribute to *SLIGHTLY* alternative endings. For $2.99 it’s not a huge loss, but it’s not nearly as open ended as Oxenrose (which is a few $ more) or the Lifeline series (which cost around the same but lack pictures).
MarkEast,
Falls short of its potential
The story is engaging enough but it’s waaaaay too short (playable in about 20 minutes) and it’s totally on rails. The decisions you make really don’t affect anything except whether one of the characters dies or not. The gameplay is exactly the same, regardless. Oh and there are a bunch of weird typos and odd language throughout. Could have used a better editor. Play at your own peril.
Semi-winter soldier,
Could have been much more
Even though it’s advertised as hundreds of choices, almost all the choices bring you back to the main story. It’s incredibly linear; even on subsequent playthroughs choosing different options, you get the same outcomes (with a few details changed). It’s also quite short (can finish it in well under an hour). Also, it almost feels like the app was created just to promote Merge Cube. Not worth $2.99.
