The "7 Minute Workout" is a research-backed workout program that has become an international hit! This is the iPad version of the internationally popular iPhone app.

Published in the leading research journal ACSM, and then popularized by the NYT, the "7 Minute Workout" is simple but effective.

Researchers have selected 12 exercises that are performed for 30 seconds with 10 second rest intervals. This high-intensity training with little rest results in higher daily metabolism and is the equivalent of working out for over an hour - for only slightly longer than 7 minutes.

What’s new with this update?

- We have added three additional workout packs to the app for a total of 36 new exercises. The workouts were designed with the help of fitness instructors to ensure it complies with the principles of the 7 minute workout. There are two ways to unlock the workouts: if you workout regularly with the app, the workouts can be unlocked for free. If you want them immediately, we have provided the option to purchase the workouts individually. Try to unlock the workouts for free by simply keeping up with the challenge!

- 4 new achievements can now be unlocked

- added option to change the rest duration between workout cycles

- AirPlay support for iPhone users is now enabled

- post your achievements directly to Facebook and Twitter after earning them

- app will continue to play when your device is on lock

- app will alert you when to switch sides for exercises that require you to alternate your body position

- changed some of the audio cues to make them easier to understand

- weight tracker and calendar have new improved appearances

- you can set what time the workout alert timer should go off

- fixed several bugs including those involving achievements (they will be corrected retroactively)

- fixed some translation errors and added support for Thai, Vietnamese and Russian

Sweaty and puffing in 7 minutes
I haven't worked out in a while, so this was a good push to get me at it again. I airplayed the workout to the tv from my iPad. You can run through it more than once, or simply repeat some exercises for extra benefit. I lowered the step-ups and did my lunges to the back. Great little workout!

Good sculpting!
After a month of using this workout I see a significant difference in my performance, strength and tone. The push-up and twist is still hard for me. I like the pace as I can concentrate on strengthening my core by doing the exercises slowly and I believe my overall strength has improved. I've also noted indentions in my arms and legs - thanks guys! If at all possible, it would be nice if there was a little segment on recommended stretches to keep us limber as we go. Thanks again!

Excellent app, good home workout plan!
I’ve been using this app for years and it’s a good way to stay in shape from home. It’s tracks everything for you, I use it on my phone & IPad, and you can adjust it to your needs! OVERALL GREAT! I recommend this app for everybody!

Great App, but...
I’ve bought the iPhone version and some time after I’ve bought the iPad version. Unfortunately the both version don’t sync thru iCloud. Too bad!

I purchased this app on my iPad and was very disappointed when I tried to open it on my iPhone but couldn’t, because I have to purchase a different one for my phone.

Amazing App!
At first I was not to sure about this app, like how could you possibly get a good workout in 7 min, but this app has proved me wrong. After 7 min I feel like I worked out 20 min and although some of the moves seem simple, if you use correct form and focus on the muscle you are working, you can get a really good workout. I tend to be sweaty after 7 min. I've noticed too after every workout later in the day, I feel energized and stronger. I've already noticed after a few workouts my body feels leaner. I have not noticed any weightloss yet, but I am sure if I am consistent I will see great changes. Thanks for creating this Amazing app. Only thing on my wish would be to be able to switch out certain exercises with other ones, or more customization of the workout.

I finally lost the weight !
I cannot recommend this app enough! I had a great metabolism that started to slow after my mid 20s. Before 35 I could easily lose weight I gained by diet and working out .

When I turned 35, I gained 10 pounds that I tried to lose for almost 2 years. I dieted and worked out and nothing worked . Anytime I had a bad day of eating, I'd gain it all back.

I was determined to lose the weight and made a New Years resolution to lose it . I added 7 minute work out and kept on watching what I was eating and running 3 miles a day on my elliptical. I'll admit I have bad will power and a bad sweet tooth but even when I had a bad day or two , after adding the 7 minute workout, I started losing weight ! Not a lot of weight . Just a pound or so a week but that was all I needed . I also started to get better definition in my arms , legs, and stomach .

I do my 7 minute workout every day and now am not really watching my diet as closely but i have maintained my weight for a month now . I couldn't be happier and will do this workout forever. I love that I can maintain my weight now and still eat my cake ! Best money I ever spent !
