A well thought out design in an app that does exactly what it was designed to do, teach you. It Uses a unique way of character entry as opposed to a common keyboard, this threw me off at first but it only took a few minutes to get use to and I find it easier to use now then a common keyboard. No keyboard to get in the way of a beautifully designed smart layout that gives the impression of doing the crosswords on paper. It has a very smart teaching method of learning by application as opposed to memorization. I highly recommend this app if you intend to learn to do crosswords. It's a beautiful app to look at. It also has so many settings options for customization. Enjoy!

Great little app to introduce the uninitiated to the world of crosswords. It is not enough to have a good vocabulary (though it helps), but one must learn how to use it to be a successful crossword solver. Knowing words that function as nouns and verbs, knowing the "tricks of the trade," and knowing how to work off already solved answers are all part of the tools provided. Initially, the crosswords will appear simple, but it is attention to the development of the techniques that are most important, and this app will teach them to you. And what a wonderful world will open to you ...

Fantastic App!
First off, I never did crossword puzzles because they did not make sense to me and I didn't like feeling "dumb"...but, if you would have told me after downloading and using this app, crossword puzzles would become one of my favorite past times, I would have laughed at you! This app is incredible!

I truly like the hints and learning process, but I was looking for a great puzzle setup and, like some other reviewers, I find the split keyboard off putting. I am adept at puzzles, yet I cannot seem to complete a puzzle without hitting an incorrect key.....for that reason I cannot give five stars. Frankly, I do not know how long I can enjoy these puzzles before the annoyance caused by the keyboard causes me to stop using it.

Love this app only thing that bothers me is after the last updates ,you have to click different ways to get the letter in the box ,other than that just the right amount of easy,medium and hard puzzles for your every mood

This is one of the first apps I downloaded years ago. I played it a lot back then and really enjoyed it. I recently started playing again and it’s just as great! I hope the developer keeps it simple and basic. That’s the appeal to me.

Helpful for a beginner
I had tried easy crossword puzzles since I had never done them but just found them boring. This app is helping me learn how to solve them and that’s what I need.

Fantastic app! I've always wanted to work harder puzzles and this app helps with some of the standard "filler" words in all crossword puzzles! Plus it's good entertainment if you're stuck somewhere with time on your hands. IMO, well worth the price!

Excellent coach
This is a very good app that coaches you on the various ways crosswords are built and how to go about solving them. It is great for the beginner. The crosswords get more difficult as you progress. It makes learning the process of working crosswords enjoyable.
