Description

Meet Jumbline 2, the most addictive word game in the App Store. Scramble and twist your brain to make words from jumbled lines of letters. Simply rearrange the scrambled letters into words, and underline them with your finger to score points; find and underline the largest word and you advance to the next level.

Play in a relaxing un-timed mode, or put your skills up against the clock in timed rounds.

Jumbline 2 includes two additional games: Cloud Pop and Star Tower. In Cloud Pop, your goal is to pop as many clouds as possible, by spelling words out of the letters carried in each cloud. In Star Tower, your task is to build the tallest tower you can, before it sinks into the ground, by making and staking words out of an infinitely jumbled line of letters. The larger the word, the slower your tower sinks, so scramble and twist your brain to think big!

Jumbline 2 is ideal for fans of Scrabble, Words With Friends, TextTwist. Play with friends and family cooperatively, or fly solo.

HILIGHTS:
• Over 20,000 five, six, and seven letter puzzles
• Brainium's trademark underline input
• You can also tap the letter blocks to type
• Timed and untimed modes of play
• Learn new words with built-in dictionary
• Global and Friends leader boards
• Fun and challenging achievements
• Gorgeous animated themes
• No Advertisements

We hope you enjoy Jumbline 2, and please contact our five star support if you have any questions :-)

With the last update a couple of issues were introduced that caused confusion for some of our users:

- During the upgrade from version 1.2 to 1.5 some users experienced a change in the game dictionary. This was caused by a bug that enabled the "Expert" dictionary even without the player enabling the option. This bug only appeared during an upgrade install and has been fixed. We also tweaked the interface for New Game creation to make it less prone to accidental selections. We're sorry for any frustration this may have caused.

- Updated Open Feint to address White Screen at launch that affected a small percentage of users

Previous Changes from version 1.5

The long anticipated update to Jumbline 2 for iPad is here with lots of exciting new features and improvements:

- We're excited to introduce an entirely new game mode: Star Tower
- User profiles with open feint now allow you to share your game and device with friends and loved ones without losing your saved progress.

- Highly improved and more consistent UI control placement in both landscape and portrait
- Improved button art for in game buttons
- Highly improved built-in iPod music controls now allow playlists and queueing multiple songs

Alphabetsy,
Gotta Love The Small Details!
I love how you can choose how big the words get, what word list to use, and love the untimed mode. Small details I like:

-Yummy-sounding music and chords increasing in key depending on the length of the word
-The chord you get when finding the biggest word (That's gonna be my ringtone)
-The Star Tower (I wonder where the bricks come from)
-The puffy, rosy clouds in the Cloud Pop Mode
-The ability to see the clouds you missed
The DELICIOUS-looking tiles (I wonder if they're made out of cosmic matter?)
-Those tiles seem much more delicious than the ping-pong balls in Text Twist
-The fact that the game's setting is not a blue background, or a red background, but THE SKY!
-Heck, even the 'incorrect' sound is pleasing!

You did good. No, I didn't mean to say “well”. You did good for the iOS game community. Keep it up, guys!
dcadmin,
So ticked off!
I completed 1184 levels in the 6 letter game. When I first started playing I would use cheats if I couldn’t find the big word. About level 200 I decided that I would quit doing that. I learned that if I quit playing and then came back later, I could usually figure out the word. So I got to level 1185. I couldn’t figure out the big word so I clicked on the button that I thought would take me to the next level. I was asked if I really wanted to quit the game and I said yes.
So what happened? I was taken back to level 1 to start over again. Who knew that all those levels were part of ONE GAME!
I wouldn’t be so ticked if I would have understood that. I went back and read the description of the game and it is unclear that each level is only a part of ONE game.
Anyway this is just a little information for someone who wants to play this. I don’t really want to start over so I’m debating on whether or not to continue playing. Yes, I could play the 7 word puzzles or the 6-expert but I wanted to see how many levels I could achieve. Oh well, I like the game, er “levels”… but the lack of clear instructions cost it a star.
Zilbie9,
WAS a Great game in many ways!
My previous review below....This game with it's multiple degrees of difficulty and different game choices can suit many people. It operates in several different ways which is nice too. You can enjoy it for just a quick game or challenge your record and go addictively at it. The dictionary is a nice add-on too.
Current review....the new words that were recently added have ruined this game! It has turned it into a trial of permutations to find obscure words that have no value and when looked up go to something other than the dictionary for definition. Lost my vote.
I followed the developer's advise below and the expert option was not checked. Stand with current review....not the same fun game it was.
Al and wife,
Good for the Mind
The wife and I often play the game together. As aging seniors, we are always looking for fun things that help the mind stay active. Watching TV , social media, etc won't do it alone.

As one review stated, the dictionary is a bit puzzling. A few words are Way out in left field, and others that have legitimate, non offensive uses are excluded. It seems the lowest common denominator is determining what is unacceptable, and that is just wrong.
Middle Bass,
Excellent game with one caveat
Excellent game and the favorite word game for my wife and myself. We play it much more often than anything else, in spite of the fact that the dictionary of acceptable words has always been, well, just bad. I can accept leaving out "adult only" words to keep the game family friendly, but many, many other words are also missing.
mediem,
Like the old Text Twist
This is very similar to the old Text Twist, which was exactly what I was looking for. Lots of words, unusual words, and a feature that lets you suggest words they missed. Fun sound effects including soothing chords as you find each word. All around great game. I went straight for the paid version and am very pleased with my purchase!
Yuko53,
Really nice
These developers make pretty games, and they run very well. If you choose the expert words at the seven letter longest word you are going to be challenged.

The only gripe I have is the dictionary. At least half the time when I ask for a definition it wants to take me on to the internet. If you’re going to do the dictionary then do all the words this half and half thing drives me nuts.
canalenes,
Great game that works well
I play this frequently while relaxing and passively watching tv in the evenings. It works flawlessly. The words are family friendly. Not too easy and not too hard. It’s quite enjoyable.
BachGirl,
Good game, but could be better
This is a good game, providing a nice way to wile away some time, decompress after a busy day, and test vocabulary. The vocabulary is the problem! There are a number of legitimate words that are not accepted, and quite a few that are marginal (ex. "its" is a contraction that is accepted, but some other contractions are not; the word "nil" was not accepted, but has a clear, standard definition). In general, it's a good games, but needs some vocabulary tweaking.
Wattski05,
Progress or not?
I was hooked on the old version on my iPad 4 and kept playing even though I had to shut it down and restart for each level. Finally caved with the new iPad and the latest version of Jumbline. Noticed three things that I wish were same as the old. Such as touch a letter and a jump to the end, running history tally of scores and adjust time to 2 1/2 minutes. Especially would like to select time, 2 minutes or no minutes not good enuf.
