We’ve split our home page into 5 different modules:
— Daily sessions, where you’ll find a curated mix of lessons to help you improve each day.
— My statistics, where Premium users can track their progress over time.
— Training room, where Premium users can drill unlimited lessons.
— Highlights from 2020, where... well it’s where you can get your highlights from 2020.
— Scouting, where you can create 40-game analysis reports for yourself or your friends.

Oh, and we’ve added some changes underneath the hood as well:
— Advantage Capitalization lessons will no longer include games where you lost because of a time scramble.
— We’ve improved the formatting for our analysis reports (and are planning to add a killer new section soon).
— Blunder Preventer puzzles now tell you why an incorrect move was a blunder.
— Intuition Trainer puzzles will be marked correct if you spot either of the two blunders in a sequence.
— Energy points have been removed as we’re planning to replace them with a more effective mechanism to reward power users. That said we’ve saved all of your accumulated points on our backend just in case.

And minor bug fixes :)

Bruce SAE,
I’d like to give it 5… almost there.
Still new. Definitely very innovative and I use it everyday.

Pros : Intuitive and custom to you based of your games history. I think this is amazing!

Improvements I’d like to see

1) At times during my daily training I accidentally click “next” instead of retry and it takes me away from it

2) Would like to SAVE openings in opening training to save time and not have to set up the pieces every time

3) Explanations on why a move may or may not be optimal. Sometimes during the intuition trainer you make a guess and it points an arrow when it’s either right or wrong. Sometimes it may still not be clear when seeing the arrow especially for newer players. An explanation would be very helpful!

Thank you and hope to see an update soon!
psmathgeek,
Amazing tool
Easily one of the best apps for improving your chess, plenty worth the subscription. Every single feature is immensely useful, which is rare to see in a learning app nowadays. No ridiculous gamification or constant reminders about daily streaks, just a simple weekly plan that keeps you coming back simply because of how good all the exercises are at promoting incremental progress. Many types of exercises are unique and more effective at targeting weaknesses than anything I’ve found elsewhere (intuition and 360 training, blunder preventer). All in all my new favorite app.

A few minor suggestions based on things I’ve noticed:
It would be nice if all exercises had a visible rating (particularly noticeable with intuition and 360 training), as currently it’s not as clear to see progress.
It’s possible to refresh the weekly progress view to get it to pick up new game counts, but to get them analyzed you have to wait for the daily sync or force it yourself. It would be nice if it picked up new games and queued them up for analysis.
I would love some infinite workout mode with sets of mixed exercises, once the daily workouts are done you can only do specific exercises.

Please keep up the amazing work, I hope you keep the same care and philosophy going forward!

An Incredibly Useful Training Tool
I only downloaded this today, but at surface level it looks like an incredible training tool. I would like to see some more tools and settings, but the potential is incredible. It’s much like chessable, but it uses tactics and puzzles from games that you have played.

I think the biggest improvement I’d like to see is the ability to run reports based on specific openings or positions. Seeing tactics from positions I’m working on would be amazing.

Keep it up, devs. This is great. You have a subscriber.
Underdog323c,
Useful Exercises
This might actually be helping my terrible chess game. I think it’s really about my will to think before moving. It’s so easy to move, and it takes energy to think.

I notice that I can’t go back to the starting position of an exercise if I get it right to analyze my previously incorrect move. Also, if I accidentally click Next I can’t return to the previous exercise to analyze it. That’s a little frustrating.
Rush Grayson,
Almost perfect.
I love this app and have used it daily since I started chess as an “adult improver.” One thing that I think could be improved is the “blunder preventer” exercises. Instead of giving only two options where the differences are sometimes very difficult to judge as an inexperienced player, why not give us what the blunder was originally and ask us to find the best move to continue, similar to the 360 trainer but focusing on the blunders.
Rosinbag1,
Awesome chess app
The updated app is very well done. The feed shares interesting chess history, move challenges and other items. The tactic puzzles run smooth. Very clean app navigation overall. Big improvement and appreciate the work to create a great experience.
phenstyle,
App crashes
When I press “Get Subscription” the app crashes every time. It’s kinda ironic that the app isn’t letting me sign up for premium lol
I have no idea how good this app is overall so I’m only giving it three stars now, fix this bug and I’ll give it 5 stars until I see how I do on it for a month to give it a chance. I might have to do this on the pc instead of phone which is kinda inconvenient currently.
Scott Diebold,
Needs more features
Let me start with generally I like the concept of training being based on the actual mistakes I am making in my chess games. I like it. I think it needs refinement in its execution. For example, intuition trainer has you look for the mistakes made but doesn’t have an option to fond the best move in the position to learn from. I found that frustrating.
Tpain1239876,
By far the best chess training app I’ve come across.
By far the best chess training app I’ve come across. Well worth the money. Let’s you practice things that you screwed up in recent games. Great, diversified mix of training exercises to do every day.
Solohere,
The advertisement
I haven’t even used the app. All that I’m gonna say is whoever made that advertisement got me hooked. Hilarious, I usually skip ads, this one I watched through the whole entire thing. Whoever made that ad deserves a raise
