Thanks to all of you for over 12 million downloads! Here's we did in this udpate:
• Fixed dock & gesture interaction problem on the iPad Pro. The iPhone fix for this is still in work. We know. Sorry. Air Hockey was one of the first games out in the App Store back in 2008 and keeping it going with the latest phones can sometimes be a little "fun."
• One of our ad network partners uses ads that display via html and there's an operating system bug that kept those from obeying the mute switch. The html ads from that partner now play muted by default...so you won't disturb your partner while they sleep. Well, that is, unless you yell "hooray!" when you win a game.
• Removed the old ad mediation framework, since, well, that company shut down the service.
• Fixed a few issues with the menu system on the iPhone version of the game
• Puttered around in the code while I was self-isolating...tweaked some knobs & cleaned up some stuff.

Millions of thanks to our millions of players! Here's what's new:
- Edge case bug tackling...previously if you played a wireless multiplayer game on a 12.9" iPad Pro with a player on a smaller iPad or iPad Pro, things were way messed up. Pucks & mallets were in the wrong places, sounds didn't match up, scores could have even been messed up. FIXED! If you have a 12.9" iPad Pro and a smaller iPad, you can now play wireless games. Woot!
- A crafty player let us know that people were using the always-the-same puck placement to their advantage. So, yeah. Gotta fix that, right? You'll now see that whenever the pucks are placed (like when someone scores or a new game starts), they aren't always in exactly the same places. If you used to do the slide-o-trick to score, it's time to find another trick. (It'd be cool if you tell us what other sneaky tricks you have too.)

Thanks to all the millions and millions of Air Hockey Gold players out there! We dragged Air Hockey Gold, kicking and screaming, into iOS 10 happiness. As you know, Air Hockey's been around a while. You wouldn't believe the mess we found in there. So, we ripped off some bandages, stripped out the bailing wire, and had to melt off some duct tape - but here it is! Here's what's new:
- 64 BITS OF GOODNESS! You won't see that warning about the developer needing to do an update anymore. Air Hockey, however, still runs exactly as awesomely fast as it ever did.
- Added support for iPad Pro along with all the latest iPhone models & screen sizes.
- Melted & reformed the menu code. (We'll add that replay button some day...it didn't make this version though.)
- Taught the AI some new tricks. The computer player is now a little smarter/different and better at using the whole table.
- Reflowed the goal detection logic to make sure we always catch those sneaky pucks.
- Made the Air Hockey logo shiny and happy again...and it sits were we told it to.
- Fixed the middle-of-the-screen pause screen double tap button placement. It was trying to get away.
- Fancied up the menu background translucent coloring a bit.
- New launch screen. Some devices & iOS versions saw some odd behavior in the last version. No more!
- Reworked the device rotation code. You absolutely won't notice a difference, but it looks so much nicer under the hood.
- OK. Would you believe that until now Air Hockey still used a modified version of the way-long-gone OpenFeint to handle GameCenter? It was messy. MESSY. We had to use a chainsaw and leaf blower, but it's all gone & replaced with sweet native Game Center code. (Please please let us know if you can find any Game Center, ummm, "integration issues" that are still hanging around.)
- Did some really minor graphics tweaks in a couple places. There was a spec that was a quarter pixel off. Kicked it!
- Killed some sound bugs.
- So many little odds & ends that we forgot them all. We did stuff. It was good. There was much rejoicing.
Secret developer note from days of old: Did you know that the goal sounds in Air Hockey were recorded by sliding a plastic air hockey puck across a granite kitchen counter top into a glass mixing bowl with a wash cloth in it? It took about 100 tries plus some editing to get the few goal sounds we use in the game. Those were the days!

Tested on the iPhone 5S! This is a quick fix for a bug we accidentally sprinkled in on the last version. If you missed version 1.18, here's what was new:

- iPhone 5 support! Yeah, we know. The iPhone 5 and 5th generation iPod touch have been out for a while. We can’t tell you yet about the secret new game we’re working on, but it got in the way (big time) of you getting awesome Air Hockey action on your new widescreen device. Air Hockey’s been around since the beginning of the App Store (remember when it was the #1 paid game!?) -- it took some hammers and chisels to make Air Hockey perfect for the iPhone 5. Just in time for the new new new ones!
- Completely redesigned interface! Air Hockey’s old menu system for the iPhone and iPod touch was pretty boring. Ugly even. So, we ripped it out and completely started over. The new look on the iPhone and iPod touch is fresh, shiny, and (dare we say) way way better.
- Improved wireless 2 player games! You have a couple iPads around your house, right? Who doesn’t!? Grab them both and play Air Hockey against each other wirelessly. Since the Air Hockey table size changes quite a bit between the widescreen & non-widescreen iPhones and the iPad, you have to play against someone with a similar screen layout as you -- no iPad to iPhone 3GS games, that’d be silly! You can even do great stuff like play wireless games between Air Hockey and Air Hockey Gold. It’s like magic!
- Performance improvements! With some more work under the hood, our testing showed a 1-puck single-player game ran at 60 frames per second on the iPhone 5 using only around 3% of the CPU. Our custom physics engine is still running at 1000Hz (that’s 1000 times a second!) for the best Air Hockey on iOS! Crazy!
- Squashed some bugs & probably sprinkled in some new ones. Line 2550 in the main game file really needed some work.
- New icons! Ok, this isn’t earth shattering, but we want the icon to look great on your device. The Air Hockey icon looks awesome on your device. Beautiful corners - we have ‘em.
- Cleaned up some ads. Not so exciting, but we have to pay the bills (anyone else have twin babies at home?!). We got rid of some old ad networks.

YIKES!! OpenFeint is shutting down their servers over 6 months earlier than they previously announced. This update disables OpenFeint. If you don't already use Game Center, it's time!
This version also fixes a nasty crash on iOS 3 devices. Sorry about that.
To avoid big issues with OpenFeint's impending demise, everyone needs this update. RIP, OpenFeint.

After this update, we're moving to support the iPhone 5 and 5th generation iPod touch with awesome full–screen Air Hockey action for their bigger 4" screens. To do that, we have to drop support for the older devices. We love you guys, but we have to support the new devices to keep Air Hockey rockin' the App Store.

Great air hockey app… BUT…
I’ve been playing this game on iPad for years! It’s my favorite quick go-to for a quick diversion. The air hockey physics are perfect, which is the main reason this is so fun! However… I’ve been playing for years without any adds, but sine I just upgraded to iPad 9th gen I’m getting ads like crazy! This is no longer fun. How do I turn off adds again??? I’d gladly pay fora no add version but I can’t see where to do that. Help!

Love this App! The ability to play against the "house" and select level of difficulty, makes play truly fun without being overly frustrating. The lose of sound occasionally is a weak element in this game. Pausing the game usually gets the sound back. Great air hockey play action! Still love playing this game! Keep up the good work! Still a fun game for the graphics and ability to play against the "house". Now, if you can get air to come through the screen, that would be some feat! (Just kidding). I truly enjoy this game! Just downloaded your update! It indicated that your celebrating 10 years for this app! Tomorrow will be my 10th year anniversary of being free from sinus and skull based cancer! I thought you might like to know! Your app was one of the key elements in my recovery! Keep up the good work!

I remember playing this with my mom when I was way younger in the ages of 7, when I was bored I’d ask my mom if I could play on her phone cause I didn’t have one at the time💁 and play air hockey, coloring, tic-tac-toe, dress up games, etc.— you the kid friendly games 🤗 although out of all of them id play air hockey and challenge my mom, dad, or my brother to it. But then it all changed when I got a phone at 9. I was stuck to my phone playing games like candy crush 😄👍 and watch videos—not to mention I would be stuck to my room🤭(they hated that). I’m so happy to be at the age of 14 and start playing it again everyday everywhere having my friends at my school judge me 😔😤 writing this Id love for you to know that I hope this game of air hockey will rematch another day ❤️🙏

First of I would like to say, this game is really fun! My brother and I love playing this game on a daily basis. When I play alone though I get a number of options to choose from I usually choose medium or hard, but I still love to play. I am the type of person who likes checkers and chess and all other brain games including this one, my brain get a workout and my fingers/hand. I think that you should get this ga e it is a great game to play alone or with someone! That’s why I rated 5 stars and well, you should too! Hoped that was the answer that helped peace out!

Great to make time fly by!
This is an amazing game to play when you’re bored and have nothing to do. Take any of your fingers (I primarily use my thumb) to move the mallet and hit the puck. There are multiple modes that you can choose from and they go from slowest to fastest. The only thing I don’t like about this is that I can’t figure out why I am not getting achievements that I have accomplished 10 times by now, but overall, amazing game.

Best Mobile Air Hockey Game I’ve Ever Played!
EDIT: What would make this game even more of a blast is being able to choose the amount in scoring needed to win. Would love to play this game to 21 or even 50 instead of the default 7. 😀

I absolutely love this game! It doesn’t require WiFi anywhere you go, and it’s a quick pull out and play with friends! It’s a great on the go game, especially if you have a parent saying “Do something you both can do!” Still have the fun of playing games, and include annoying siblings! Highly recommend!

Me and my friends started playing this game a few days ago but we all agree it’s super fun! We all play against each other. I downloaded to game myself the other day and played against the computer player (I don’t know if that’s what you call it) and it’s still super fun!

This is probably the best Air Hockey game I’ve played. It’s the most realistic and has zero drag time. It’s dead on with contact accuracy. My boyfriend and I play 2 players and stayed up all night playing. A lot of fun and very much addicting,,,especially when I kept beating boyfriend and he wanted rematches all night. Lol!

Very entertaining
I love air hockey so this was really fun for me, I love the levels and how they get progressively harder and even if you beat them all you have the choice of making it harder with 2 pucks, slight criticism, if you update this add more level I beat all of them within a week. Still love the game!
