Good overall, bad coders
I like the game a lot. Huge fan of aircrafts and airlines. Overall the game is great, a lot of impressive details. The new hub system is more realistic. The biggest problem of the game design is the time span from 1960 to 2020. It is very long. Most of the players dropped out before the end. And also Boeing 777-8x and 777-9x were never introduced. Between 1960 and 1980, there weren’t really a lot of aircrafts to use. I saw that the game pushed a new rule that a stopover route must have the hub city as the middle city. This is not something I like.
What annoyed me the most was that there were so many bugs in the game. Especially during the second half of the game, I often couldn’t manage my routes or buy new planes, some random routes showed up in my routes, and many other small issues. It was super frustrating.

Great game, lacking some features
Great game overall, but there are some features lacking in the game. First, it’s really hard for free to play people like myself to get started and even grow, there should be like some sort of loan system where you can take out a loan and pay it off over time, and restrictions of course so people don’t spam loans. There should also be some sort of feature where you can have branched airlines, for example, if you are operating out of New York, your main airline could, well be your main airline, but you could also make a smaller airline subsidized by your main, so if you want a regional one you could operate it under the main one but manage it from a different tab so it’s easier to manage routes etc. It would also be fun if there was a game mode where it’s ‘extended’ so you start out in the 1930s (example) so we can create an airline in the golden age of aviation. Another suggestion would be in the livery department, I feel like there should be more livery styles and customizations, for example like a metallic color (similar to Americans old livery) there should also be more logos to choose from. I feel like there should also be some sort of restrictions on how many credits players can purchase during a game, because the top airlines are obviously paid and they’re taking over routes and cities which makes the game really unplayable for people who are just playing causally. Overall, pretty decent game but needs work. Keep it up! :)

Nice thought but unfortunately a let down.
After playing one season on here it’s a huge let down. I definitely will not be playing a second. First off I must say hats off to these guys so a free game. The developers did a great job updating the game artistically but when it comes to the game mechanics it’s a big let down. air tycoon online by far is much better than airtycoon3 when it comes to functionality, spend your time there it’s much more rewarding.
On air tycoon 3 you are only allowed to operate flights out of hubs cities and not the smaller cities. In AT Online you could turn any city into a hub for you airline. Not in this new version... For example you could operate a route from JFK to MCO (Orlando) or open another route JFK to IND (Indianapolis). you wouldn’t be allowed to operate a route from IND to MCO because they are not deemed hub cities. For the whole game you’re competing with players in all of the major hub cities and can never open a hub in a small city. On a lot of routes you’ll have 4-5 players operating on it (with mostly all players losing money). For some unknown reason certain players get a leg up. You could put a new aircraft on a route with the same price and those players will still have higher occupancy.
This is one of countless flaws. I’m very disappointed and expected a much better product especially after such a good product with AT Online.
New aircraft have also been added and that’s another benefit of this new update.

Mostly good...
In many ways, this game is a huge improvement from its predecessor, Air Tycoon Online 2. The graphics and organization are much better, along with a better selection of aircraft. However, there is one thing that I don’t think was done well here. You can only make routes out of your hub city, until your name value increases enough in another city. This takes an incredibly long time unless you’re willing to pour in most of your in game money into advertising, which just isn’t financially attractive. If the hub restriction was removed, I would have only a few minor complaints, about this game, such as a clearly pay-to-win setup, where you have no realistic chance of doing well if you don’t spend an absurd amount of real money in the game. That said, it is still enjoyable without purchasing anything inside the app.

Solid upgrade from ATO2 but could use some more updates
So far it seems to be a nice improvement over ATO2; I especially like that a Western alternative has been added to the numerous small Tupolevs (Caravelle), and the addition of the SP is also awesome. However, it would be nice if they brought back smaller cities again as possible HQs because it seems that the player limit for each world has not changed, so competition will be very tough. In general, I think the world index should be increased a lot compared to ATO2 because it is not realistic at all. It is way too hard to fill larger widebodies in ATO2. I also hope that the devs will keep adding new aircraft, for example from BAe, Hawker Siddeley, Antonov, ATR, Saab, and Embraer.

I literally love this game. I don’t really know how to describe this game besides a “time passing game”. What I mean is that you buy planes and set prices, then you wait for time to pass to see how efficient your decisions are. I love that it’s actually free. Obviously you can get an edge if you spend $, but this is the first game that I play that f2p players actually have a shot on the leaderboards.
I did go through some complications where my game data was LOST :”(. Communication with support was efficient. They responded in a day (I’m assuming bc of the time difference) regardless they helped me out with my unfortunate situation. They are super helpful.

Needs improvements
Comparing this game to the second online version of this series I feel like this is a massive let down. I thought that they would add more detail and more scenarios to the game and to also allow more players into one server than its current limit. I’m giving it 4 stars just because I’ve played all of your games now since you guys first started and I hope you guys will go back to the drawing board and take down this game and fix the certain problems that everyone is pointing out since me all seem to be complaining about the same thing. :)

I’ve tried my luck at this game many times and I’ve gone bankrupt after 3 turns EVERY SINGLE ONE. I tell you, this game is impossible! There are too many players that pay for money and benefits, so it is impossible to compete with them because they have almost every possible route. I don’t like this game, it is very “pay to win”. I can never even get past 1970 when the channel I join starts in 1969. Please make the game easier for us. In ATO2 you could use 1.00 fare level and make a fair profit. In this you only make 10-80k with 1.00 fare level! Please fix. ATO2 is much better. Use that instead. Also, could the developer make an easier version that there is no competition with other players? I would like that much more. Thank you, don’t download.
