■ Backstory:
The kingdoms of Catania and Lupinia used to live secluded from each other, but everything changed when the Great Tremor hit, causing a Rift Storm in the middle of the great ocean. Dimensional rifts started to appear out of magical thunder, introducing a whole new archipelago to the world.
These are the Vortex Isles, a place of magical flora, mystical ruins and ever-lasting storm clouds.
Upon sailing to the Vortex Isles, Catanians and Lupinians met Humans for the very first time. They were also brought to the world of Anima by the Rift Storm. In AlchiMerge these three kingdoms meet to explore the mysterious Vortex Isles. Will they all get along?
Players familiar with PocApp Studios' previous titles, Castle Cats & Dungeon Dogs, will be able to meet beloved heroes in an entirely new format. Completing Quests from new and old heroes will reveal unique stories of the characters and the world of Anima.

Alchimerge: Three Days In
*Alchimerge is my first “merge puzzle” game so I have little experience with its competitors.* Alchimerge is a good game but it does have issues that need addressing. First I’ll start off with what’s good about it. Firstly it is very pretty, especially compared with “Dungeon Dogs” and “Castle Cats”, this developer’s other two big games. Secondly, the game does a rather good job of teaching you the basics. It sets you off on your adventure with just the right amount of handholding. Thirdly, this game doesn’t shove ads and in app purchases in your face AT ALL. I love it! Lastly, the game’s characters and overarching world and story are just as good as “Dogs” and “Cats” which is refreshing for a mobile game. Now here are some improvements that would be nice. Firstly, the first few days, the server kept crashing on me. While the developer’s excellent cloud storage system kept my progress, it was annoying having to close and reload the game. Secondly, upgrades to your shop pieces and crafting slots are a little extreme, especially early game when you’re only making approximately 50 cash for each order filled. It takes a little too long to build up 1000 cash to upgrade a bookshelf. Finally, the game needs to ease you into the city environment. Right now, the game just kind of throws you into it with little instruction. I hope Alchimerge keeps up the good times. So far, it seems like an excellent addition to This developer’s library, well done!

So far, so good!
I am really excited to see where this game goes: although learning how city hall and the town worked was somewhat a struggle for me, overall it’s pretty fun and addicting! The character customization seems to be bare minimum as of right now, but I know in your guys’ other games it’s one of the most important factors. So keep up the good work! I’m looking forward to where you guys take this game

Super fun game with lots of potential
I downloaded this game on a whim with a bunch of others, after running into a bunch of free time that l didn’t know what to do with. Alchimerge has easily taken the cake, and I’ve been playing it a bunch. There are so many cool features already and a lot of satisfaction in completing the orders and unlocking the new characters. However, the progression is kind of tough to stick around for. The city part is super extreme and all of the ways to upgrade your shops take so long and require super expensive items to craft. Also, I’m not super far in yet, and it’s already so hard balancing all of the different sources of materials and constantly needing to get all of them. It’s like there is so much to get and craft but having to constantly maintain all of those things kind of ends up cutting you off from half of them sometimes. This game is still amazing! and so many possibilities in the future. I was so surprised at how few players it has and can’t wait to watch that skyrocket!

This is a merge game in the vein of Merge Dragons, but without the feeling that you’re forced to spend gems to progress.
You collect ingredients to run an alchemy shop, but it doesn’t have the crafting mini games associated with that genre, although that could be a blessing.
You collaborate with other players to build your town and unlock upgrades, but my group is a bunch of lazy bums and I’m the only one who works so it feels like a major drag. Honestly I just wish that instead of a town we upgrade together I’d gotten a house that I would upgrade by myself, maybe decorate with furniture, this game could use more decoration.

Good, but has some troubles.
I really enjoy the game, and I find it fairly easy to progress. However, once I hit the second part of the game that has the nomad tents and sunberries, I found that some of the obstacles would get ‘stuck’, where it wouldn’t allow me to put a worker on it. It’s mostly happened to the orange trees, but it will also happen to the wood shrine obstacles once that area is unlocked.
I read on here that joining the game’s Discord server would help people find active in-game alliances, but it would add to the QoL if there were easier ways to find one.
Otherwise, I’d give it a look-see. No pressures for IAPs or ads jumping down your throat. It’s a good time!

Alittle cliché, but not terrible
It's graphics are pretty and colorful, but the 3D models could use some work. The avatar customization doesn't work for whatever reason, even simple changes don't save and the pop up "invalid avatar parts" appears, i don't know wheather that's intentional or not. Alchimerge also follows the same formula of other merge apps, minus maybe the shop, but after playing competitors games before it released, it just feels bland, it would be nice for it to have more of a twist to it that makes it stand out tbh

Edit: uhhh how many tents do I need to upgrade it? Do I need an exact same thing at it in order to upgrade since I’ve dumped 2 big tents and several small ones and similar materials in and nothing happened.

pretty good so far
So at first this game was super fun and addicting, then as soon as i started gaining head way and levels i basically got stuck, it almost feels like theres too much going on and its too hard to get everything done. Like managing tasks, the shops, the town, and unlocking new land while also collecting ingredients. Obviously still meeds a lot of work but im betting itll get better and the game is still really fun.

Game doesn’t load
Keeps freezing while trying to load initial game assets…….while I was looking forward to playing this game, if it continues for another day or two am going tobe forced to delete it
Update- after deleting and reinstalling the app it now works fine, it seems to have been an error caused by apples auto install combined with using an almost outdated apple 8+ phone , the game is now working decently

They took away the energy boxes!
I really enjoyed getting to choose the box of extra energy, and have built up quite a bit so I can play longer if I feel like it. Guess what the update took away? Yes, no more free energy if you are full up already. Since it will be taking forever to make the house for the next section even with good amounts of energy that used to be available, I am not sure how much longer I will be playing. I am not a big fan of being pressured to spend real money on a game this simple.
