1.6.11
2022-07-05
• We have quite a few background improvements in this update to provide better performance and error handling related to third party dependencies.
• We already don't track you in relation to this app, but we have improved the randomness around the ID values used to deliver chat messages to improve the privacy and security of our system overall.
• There are also improvements around logging to reduce logs on your device and limit logging to our server. (Logging to our server is focused around advertisement display and performance, and basic app usage.)

Well some of our human experiments have finished and we are removing some of those tests in this release. Don't worry, you passed. (That other guy though... lol) Lab 5 says they will have some new stuff for you soon but they can't say when. Hopefully soon though, that team is my favorite!
Have a great day!

George from lab 2 was watching the Neuro-Link video and thought that it might be a good idea to have some of our lab animals redesign the chat. After a few days of testing we fired George because using worms to design a user interface should have been so easy. As a backup we had some of our interns give it a try because we suspect that George may still have the keys to the lab and the boss wants this update done sooner than later.
The updated chat has all of the same features as the old one, but it's much prettier thanks to Cindy. We are a little disappointed that the worms were not able to share their brilliant design skills with you but this update will have to do. We hope you enjoy it.

Remember when we said that Debra was the GOOD intern? Well turns out she couldn't spell and her mistakes are all over the code. The other developers are so embarrassed that you received a version of the app with bad spelling in the code, so that's fixed now.
Bruce found a way to crash the app that he couldn't explain, but luckily Debra was able to translate so now she's the head of user experience. Crazy how fast she climbed from intern to upper management! But she put her foot down and made the development team fix the problem. As it turns out the problem was that you would try to post a message in the chat and the app could crash. But don't worry, it's all fixed now.
So the rumor around the office is that Debra planted that bug so she could get a promotion. So now Tommy and the dev team have been running around trying to catch moths, ants and other bugs so they can do the same thing. A few of us think they are all crazy but it sure is fun watching them run around the lab with fishing nets. So far they haven't caught any bugs, so maybe it is good that Debra got the promotion instead of these guys! Could you imagine how buggy this place would be without someone like her?
Anyway, have fun with the app and let us know what you think! :)

Well the intern that did the last update wasn't very personable so we moved him to remote work so we wouldn't have to hear all that nonsense about algorithms. Maybe now we can get some peace and quiet around the lab for a while.
Anyway, we have a cool update for you thanks to the GOOD intern Debra. She decided that the chat was lame so she upgraded a few things:
• If you don't pick a name in the chat you get one that Tommy made up (he's really funny)
• You can now see if someone else is currently typing a message
• Debra added a way to reward nice people by magically lowering their block count (it has a fun sound too)
Hope you enjoy the changes. We'll fill you in on more office gossip in the next update.
1.6.1
2020-04-21
• Improving chat logging to help us understand how you use the app
• To avoid confusion, the camera button is now hidden until a thought displays on the screen
We had been asked if the words were 'Photoshopped' onto images when a photo was taken, this is not the case. We want you to see that they appear in 3D space around your animal so you can enjoy the augmented reality aspect of the app. Then you can take a photo and position the text in 3D where you want it to appear in your image.

We've added new animals! Sorry it took so long, once we got rid of Doug for the "fish are not animals" thing, it took us a while to figure out how to fix things because apparently he was the only one doing any work around here.
Thank you to all of our users for proving Carl wrong on the power of mind reading. The world did not end, and the internet is not being run by cats as he predicted.
Also, if you take the time to do a review, please say "Hi" to Bridget. She's taken over all of Doug's tasks so the rest of us can keep up with all of the gossip around the lab. Our app doesn't work on Humans yet so we have to resort to other measures.

So Joey got a promotion after the camera button update last time which means he's been playing a lot of golf with the boss. Then Carol thought the camera button was all wrong, so she suggested that we move it to the middle and make it bigger for you. The team has their fingers crossed that you will like it.
Tommy fixed a bug that was causing a crash if you closed the app while in the chat. You may not have ever noticed it but we gave him a high-five!
And the big news is that the team in the research lab decided that it was ok for us to turn up the sensitivity again, so expect to see more mind reading power in your hands this time around! Carl is a little worried about this whole mind reading thing but we told him that our users are capable of being responsible with this much power, so please help us prove Carl wrong.

It was an intense meeting at our R&D department last week when all of a sudden someone blurted out, "Let's add a camera button so people can take photos of the animals and their thoughts!"
So that's what we did, we hope you like it. :) (if not you can blame Joey)

Our science team has determined that sometimes animals project their thoughts too loudly, so we have added a feature to 'auto level' those thoughts so they don't show up too close to you. Nobody likes when animals yell.
Our social team has requested that we let you know when people use the chat in your language, so if you've opted into notifications and you use the chat we will now let you know when someone posts a message.

We've tweaked our brain scanner and come up with better results! More thoughts appear for more animals and because our scientists were getting overwhelmed we had to add a reducer to our mind reading algorithm so for this version thoughts will appear one at a time.
We will try to speed things up again soon once our science team has a chance to recover from this round of testing.
