For review, the track can be split into sectors and a theoretical best lap calculated to set goals for your next session. Video can be recorded during a driving session and then rendered with data overlays after the session.

Stellar product and great supporting App!
Sometimes when I use the Apex Pro I feel like I’ve tapped into a secret part of my brain that allows me to be a better, more confident driver for HPDE. The app is stupid simple. Seriously, it’s crazy intuitive. Apex Pro app is also very responsive! More responsive than when your significant other sees a text message pop up from your ex on your phone. You broke my heart Rebecca!
In all seriousness, the app and technology behind the Apex is insanely cool and such a value add for your track days. The fact that you can now overlay video to the data is wild! Great app - and product!

Fantastic product
My friend who is a PCA Club racer recommended the Apex Pro. It is an amazing tool for getting to be a better driver and getting the most out of your track day. My first time using it was when taking my E-36 M3 out for the first time after getting major suspension upgrades done. With the Apex Pro, I was able to know where the cars traction limits were and use the available grip consistently. It really helped me explore the performance upgrades.

Changed For the Worse
On top of making a change that caused the app to crash on launch until I completely deleted and reinstalled it, I’m very disappointed that Apex Pro has decided to go the way of GoPro and require an online account in order for the app to connect to their hardware. This has rendered a device that I’ve happily been using for the last few years effectively unusable. I see no good reason whatsoever for this new requirement: I’ve never used any of the “Crew View” features and never intend to.
While I’m here, I will also say that the new UI looks like it was drawn by a four-year-old. A matter of personal preference, I suppose, but I found the old UI to be much cleaner and professional-looking.

OUTSTANDING
The APEX Pro and related hardware are a game-changer for recording and analyzing track data. The interface between the App and hardware is seamless which is perfect for a non-technical guy like myself. Customer service from Andrew and his team is very responsive.

Great but Glitchy
I do really love the APEX Pro system, but I have to admit that the app is very glitchy on iPad. It routinely crashes when reviewing data. The new app doesn’t even fully function on iPad. I can bring line graphs up, but can’t progress in time since the slider doesn’t load or function on iPad. Works on my iPhone, but the screen is just so much smaller I don’t like to review the data on my phone.

Now that I have learned to transfer to my iPad for a bigger screen I’m ecstatic. I’m kind of tired of filming and all the memory use. But I can use my old iPhone for apex training and visual timer. My phone is free for calls and video concurrently if I want

Really cool little box that works with an app. It was an easy setup and provides as much data as I can handle at the track. The in car lights are awesome in the corners and the post review of speed trace is a huge help.
