Description

Create unbelievable NEW EFFECTS and SHARE them with others!

"After having played with the app for one full day, I’m nothing short of impressed. The sheer power of customization that aremaC (yes, it is Camera written in reverse) brings to photo editing presets, and that, too, to a mobile device, makes it worthy of being your instant favorite."
— Aatif Khan, addictivetips.com

"Whether you like simple photography apps where you can add cool filters and effects with a tap, or whether you like to create your own with professional-level tools and share your presets with the community, there is something for everyone in aremaC."
— Karen Freeman, appadvice.com

"aremaC is an extremely comprehensive camera app, which pleases the fans of effects with a huge library of filters and the ability to create your own with a toolkit of exceptional power."
— icommephoto.com

----------------------------------
▷The presets
----------------------------------
Create real-time effects by stacking and nesting effects with arbitrary masks together! Real-time means you can see the result BEFORE you take the photo. You can even shoot videos with them!

You can create absolutely NEW EFFECTS with aremaC and upload them to the online library to share them with all other users!

----------------------------------
▷Advanced and endless possibilities
----------------------------------
-professional, fully parameterized real-time effects
-take photos AND record videos with all effects!
-open online library, which everybody can freely extend!
-6x-zoom
-full-resolution processing (If you take a photo, it gets automatically rendered in full-resolution in the background and you can instantly continue shooting more photos without having to wait for the rendering to finish! As the high-quality rendering is happening on the CPU, but the real-time view is fully computed on the GPU, there's absolutely no performance drop while a photo is rendered in background!)
-full EXIF and GPS-data storage
-edit your photos (yes, this app is perhaps even the greatest photo-editor on the app-store!)

EXCLUSIVE: Another special feature - A BUTTON, which lowers the camera's exposure for FULLY AUTOMATIC OVER-EXPOSURE PREVENTION! This app is the only one on the app-store which has it!

----------------------------------
▷As a preset developer
----------------------------------
Upload your creations to the online library and see how popular they become!

-2D-Box (Blur)
-Alpha-Tool
-Average

-Blending
-Brightness/Contrast
-Chroma Key (EXCLUSIVE: Do high-quality real-time green-screen effects with this highly tweakable filter!)

-Random-Map (NEW: Random mapping of colors)
-RGB Key
-Sharpen/High-pass

-Polygon
-Preset Image (A lot of preset images are already included)
-Solid Color
-Text
-Vignetting

Also all presets, effects, effect-groups and masks supports cut, copy and paste. The main goal, when designing these features, was: Let the user's creativity be the limit - not the app!

MasterBearr,
Still great, but needs updated!
I still love this app, but I'm also still having trouble trying to understand all of the different filters and what they can do, as well has what stacking order and masks can accomplish. I would really love to see some more tutorials, either created by Dominik or by some of the community members who know what they are doing (You all know who you are!). There isn't a whole lot more to improve on. I still stand by my previous reviews ideas for an update, as well as there needs to be an updated UI. Especially when editing a filter, the I and P buttons can be hard tap on my iPods Touch's screen. Keep making great apps though!

--Previous Review--

This app is great at creating your own filters, and it's actually the only one I have ever heard of. It has so many features, it is overwhelming!

There are a few problems that I suggest to the author:

1. Make a written or video tutorial for each of the controls separately, and place a button to click on for the help next to each filter for easy access.

2. Make folders to organize presets that have been downloaded and made for easier access, scrolling back and forth through a large library of effects is very annoying, so the folder ability would be very nice.
GreenTea13,
Love this app
2023: Please, please, PLEASE fix this app so it doesn’t crash so often. I used to really love this app, but it’s part ally unusable in its current state.

Update September 2022: I finally found this app again and am sad to see how often it crashes. If I try settings it crashes, if I try to log in it crashes, if I try to edit my filters it crashes. I can take photos with it, but I wish it wasn’t so buggy. I hope this app will get fixed because it’s still a great app when it works.

I have been using this app as my main camera app for a few months and I really like it. It has some stability issues (crashes when I take too many photos in a row). What I love is that you can make your own filters and share them with others.
RevelationAdept,
Great toy for artists
This app has been abandonware for almost a decade now, and yet here it is still working lol. The premise is simple; combine and fine tune different effects to create your own unique filters, then name and share them on the server for everyone to enjoy. Or use a filter someone else has made, either as is or after modifying it to meet your exact needs. A lot of fun and the chance to create truly unique photo art.
Grocery Dad,
Wherever you are Dominick Seibold, come out of hiding...
Your camera app AREMAC is brilliant, powerful and infinitely creative! Please don’t abandon this app. The filters are multidimensional and configurable, offering more variety then practically any other imaging app in the iTunes App Store. I would pay a yearly subscription just to insure this app doesn’t go orphaned. Take it from me, I have over 700 Apps on my iPhone 8+ (more on my 6s, but many have gone orphaned), most of them dealing with photos and images. I don’t think there is anything I have that is as powerful as your app for creating images, and editing photos to create something always unique. Please give us a sign you are alive and well and will continue to upgrade this magical app! Thank you!
MeandYouandOther,
FANTASTIC
Yes, this app is fantastic. So many possibilities. I appreciate his tutorials, you can feel that the developer love what he does and we'll see more upgrades with more good stuff. I'll contribute to his work by buying any other app that the developer have to offer. I checked the reviews of 3 stars or less and the majority of them sort of complain about how good it's the app., saying that it's too advance for them. I'll advice people to watch the video tutorials and learn good tips such as shortcuts and ways to see the potential of the App. Yes, it's advance but it's also simple. My level isn't advance however for me learning from the tutorials is a good way to use what I learn as a base for exploration with very good results.
Plaidchameleon,
Please Don’t let this App Die!!!
I’m thankful every day this App still lives on. The concept for it is outstanding. User created live video and photo filters that you can download and edit yourself. So many great filters there already AND you can make more. I know it’s not perfect, but we need more people to get the word out and start using it so the developer has reason to add more options. Get it!!! Use it!!! Love it!!! 😃
Lousy photog,
Fantabulous!
I have used AremaC to rescue all sorts of lousy and boring photos! You would be amazed at what some of the filters will do to change a photo of lousy scenery into something surreal or so much better than it looked when you took it! AremaC is the most versatile app around! I am just learning to make my own photo filters and managed a great comic book look for indoors, anyway. Great fun. Please, please update it regularly, developer!
Beauty4000,
Love it, love it, LOVE it!
I've had so much fun playing with all the fun filters that other users make available to download. It's soooo kewl to play in all these amazing ways to twist, tweak and twerk my photos. And you can create ( & share with the community) you own filters too -- tho I'll admit I have yet to try this, I'm having too much fun with the ones I've downloaded!

I HIGHLY recommend that you try out this great photo editing app!
Natloveyoga,
Please update the camera access!
I’m really bummed to see that this app isn’t working anymore. I would rave about this app to everyone and unfortunately the app does not ask for camera access so it’s impossible to use the filters! Please update to allow camera access so we can use the app as is at least? There’s no other app like this and I hope it returns someday. <3
Caitmm28,
FAVORITE
This is pretty much my favorite camera/photo editing app EVER (and I have tried A LOT) while confusing to make effects yourself at first, it definitely gets easier and it is so much fun to mess with. Plus there are tons of great filters other people have made too!!!
I don't usually leave reviews but this app deserves one :)
