Raecheeches,
Perfect!
Exactly what I was hoping for. A very straightforward, convenient app to memorize important art and artwork. Not very extensive, which turns out to be a good thing if you’re new to/forgot the content. I haven’t gotten any ads, and there’s no in-app purchases as far as I can tell, so it feels like this app was motivated by educating others alone and I find that very admirable (and rare!). Very awesome

Artsy
I LOVE the app, as far as it goes, but it definitely has some bugs that need to be worked out! I have difficulty with the quiz part, most times the artwork to be attributed or identified doesn’t appear. Also, there does not seem to be a way to transition back to the different art movements page after answering the quiz. I just have to swipe up and flick that page away and then go back to the app from the icon. Other than those problems, I LOVE it, and would happily give it 5 stars if and when those problems are resolved! Also would like to see Surrealism, Cubism, Tenebrism, Fauveism, Expressionism, Pop Art, and Italian Transavangardia represented! Thank you, TIFFFANYANN JOAN ROSE-SMITH. PS. Sometimes when the painting(or sculpture or architecture) DOES come up, and I know the answer, all four of the multiple choice answers do not show, only three, and the one furthest down at the bottom that does NOT show is the Correct Answer, but I am unable to select it because I can’t see it! This is MOST AGGRAVATING AND MADDENING! A suggestion to remedy this problem: instead of using the words, “Who is the artist?” above the choices, perhaps you could merely say, “Identify, please!” This would leave space for the fourth of the four multiple choices!
bull_crapp,
One small problem, otherwise fantastic...
It's difficult to study the intricacies of the paintings. You can pinch zoom in, but it snaps back to small as soon as you let go. Having to hold it zoomed is not optimal, and my fingers are often in the way, so I have too let go and pinch in another area. If it could zoom in/out with a double tap or something, I would spend literally hours on here. Just don't ever ruin it with ads, unless they can be completely and forever skipped by paying a few dollars.
LiberteFemme,
Some Suggestions
The app is lovely however the information about the paintings are lacking in educational value. It would be extremely helpful that under each piece (if available) a short background or history, a few interesting facts about the paining or a helpful interpretation of what we are looking at or what the items in the painting are supposed to represent, based on what the art community knows.

I’m a complete noice with art and the reason I downloaded this was to learn ABOUT pieces. Please take this into consideration. Thank you.
Deshirl,
Loving learning the art!
I have been using this app now for about a week and I really love the exposure to pieces of art that I have already known, but even more for the artwork I am not familiar with. I take the quizzes over and over again so I really learn the names of the artists and the artwork and even the styles of the artists. This is a very nice way to learn art!
Cynberbomstad,
Wish I had this while in art school!
Great app, brushing up in my art history as I have been out of school for almost 20 years now… wish I had this while in art school, would have made a great study aid for my art history class!
Treasure Lady,
Jen T.
I appreciate the rich colors of each artwork that are presented on the Artly app. May I suggest that along with the photo of the artwork, a brief background history of the author, the culture he/she lived in, the art style they used and some content/iconographic analysis of their subject matter. This would help to place the artwork in my mind better and to appreciate it more.
Thank you,
Jen T.
Wldkfjejwopdenwgueofpc,
love it!
this app is such a fun way to brush up on art history. it’s well organized, engaging, and fun to play! I love how many different categories there are to choose from.
Nantucket143,
New app unintuitive
The updated app is unintuitive and difficult to navigate m. Honestly, I didn’t think any changes were necessary to the former version of the app, which I loved. I don’t want a library or quizzes on art. It’s too much. How do I get the old functionality back where I get to see and learn about one piece of art a day? Less is more.
CreamyItalian,
Almost perfect
Fantastic app.

My only complaints:
-Sections are not scrollable. I’d love to not have to close each image and reopen when doing a review.
-Same goes for reviewing all of the images in a category. Annoying to have to open and close each image.
-Would prefer if each artists work was consistently lumped together in each category. Artists work are for mostly sequenced but it’s not always the case.
-Would also be great if the works of each artist were shown chronologically
