This app is incredible
As far as I know there is no other app out there that does anything like this. The results look amazing and can really “smooth out” a video to give it a very professional look and feel. I can’t believe it’s not more popular. I would buy a desktop version of this. The only complaint I have is how long it takes to complete even a small amount of video. The wait is worth it and it’s even kind of entertaining to watch it create each frame of the video in a way.

Somewhat Promising
But really, why does the watercolor look like oil paint? There are no wet edges, little transparency, and absolutely worst of all, globs of paint! Watercolor does not glob... ever; it pools, and that is a significant part of its beauty. A big part of this problem is the shine you add that doesn’t belong in watercolor at all. These problems completely ruin the effect and the result bears no similarity to the real thing. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t realism the point of the app? The app also needs an intensity setting for the canvas, inclusion of cold press paper, and a full screen preview with zoom so I don’t have to save after every significant change just to see what I’m doing. Though none of the current extras entice me to upgrade, if these issues are successfully fixed I will gladly buy it and up your rating to support a responsive developer. All that being said, the color controls are awesome and I really like the variation adjustment. Keep working, you’re on the way to greatness.

Nice app effect for my needs
I’m hoping that either a purchase will get rid of the ads or that there is a option to remove them.
Edited: after experimenting with this app more I’ve become very impressed with it. I’m using it to create storyboards for a project and it helps me to bridge the gap between photos and sketches. It is quite versatile and offers a lot of creative possibilities. What I would really love at this point is an explanation of how to use the built it settings - I’m not quite sure what many of them do - and it would be great if I could contact the maker of this app - the website seems to have been down for quite sometime. If there are any plans to make a Mac based program for a laptop, I’d definitely be interested in trying it out.

Update changed what I liked the most about this app.
The sketch filter doesn’t have that say gritty effect anymore that I was quite fond of. Now the filter is too murky and clean. The sketch filter basically feels like another art filter. It doesn’t look or have the appeal of an realistic looking effect anymore. For someone who spent there money on this, please revert back to that gritty feel and natural effect for the sketch filter. I can even send you pictures to show what I’m referring to.

An app done right
Really fun filters and great features in this option filled creative app including hi res output and frame rate control! Nicely done! I’m loving it. My only observation would be that you gave us this great resolution for output, but no way to zoom in on the detail of the applied filter after making adjustments. Other than that though... a truly useful program for both artists and enthusiasts!

It’s a great app
I love the effect. But it seems like it compresses the image. It makes it smaller, but other than that it’s a wonderful app. May I suggest that on the unlock buttons, we would like to see the turn out of the photo to see the effect. With the LOCK appearing at the center of the photo, it’s not possible to see the actual turn out. It would be nice to see if it’s worth doing an add on purchase. It’s a nice app but without seeing the actual effect or what it really does, it stops me from making add on purchase. Thank you.

AMAZING APP, with crash issues 95% of the time
Guys guys guys! The entire reason many of my friends that have this app won’t invest money in it is because picking the higher settings for frames, time to finish, and resolution crashes the app 100% of the time. Picking the lowest setting only crashes it 95% of the time.
If you can fix the crashing problem that everyone just deletes the app over, and never says anything because nobody bothers, you’d be very very rich.
Don’t know what else to tell ya. It offers amazing effects, and provides no ability to record the creation of the final pieces. Smh

Very Nice
Excellent program for turning photos into all sorts of paintings and drawings. There is quite a few options and some are free and some are paid and even the paid are very inexpensive and one time. I really like this program thank you.

Clever of you people to come out with a new update for Artomation. I’ll bet a lot of people were fooled into thinking they were getting new additions to make this an even better program.
Only come to find out that about half of the styles are now locked unless you pay to use them. All of us who have used the app for some time now are really thrilled. It is now rated a two for this deception. OH........and thank you!

Love it, BUT...
Love this app BUT can’t use my favorite filter successfully —the sketch/watercolor finishes with a group of short black vertical and horizontal lines that interfere with the picture and make it unusable. When I go to the website address to get help it sends me back to the app. Frustrated I can’t use my favorite filter. I have tried reloading it and that doesn’t help. I have a brand new top-of-the-line smart phone so that shouldn’t be the problem.
