Animated filter parameters: We've added silky smoothness to our 150+ filters. Controls now slide elegantly from one tap to the next. Want to animate your NFTs to a totally new vibe? Tap a filter multiple times to fluidly flip between random, unique looks.
New tessellation sets: GeoTile, PolyTile, and GlowTile have been updated with 19 new,
shapely tessellation parameters. We at Generate have essentially conquered geometry.
New SlowTile filter: Time, angles, and spectrum meld together for macro-dosed fun in this new tessellation/motion combo filter. Pro-tip: This effect needs motion, to use it with a still image input, add some wiggle with the Wobbler filter.
New presets: We created a fresh set of preset combos to highlight our new filters, including Alternet, CDROM, Closer, and InABand. As well as their initial look, tap on these presets again to mix them up. Each will produce a practically infinite variety of smooth styles for cooler creative.

Crashed till I CLICKED the word “Create”.

This app was used yesterday, and I fell in love with it’s capabilities. However, today, it crashes every time when I try to open it. It even has access to the Internet. I thought maybe I needed to sign up, but the signup page keeps reporting a mismatch password though I pasted the 1st time and typed it the 2nd time to make sure the passwords were the same. Nothing!!! :(
Today, I updated the app and now, I AM BEING FORCED IN TO SOME SORT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ENVIRONMENT?
I HATE any kind of Social Media because Social Media is nothing more than a tracking tool!
Either way, the app still WON’T WORK AFTER THE UPDATE. (No! I will not provide my email address.)
Please fix the problems so I can buy the App.

I have been an enthusiastic fan of Generate for three years.
It is absolutely my #1 app for creating sound art projects for Instagram and designing album covers. It has a uniquely deep set of photo and video effects allowing me to do things that I didn’t imagine were possible. Generate inspires me with it’s rock solid functional options and it is simply incredible what you can create by combining filters.
I often get asked by other Instagram users what app I’m using for my videos as there just isn’t anything else like it available.
I have spent enough time working with the update to be really excited about what the developers have done with this already amazing app. The new editing features and filter combinations seem to provide infinite possibilities yet are well organized and easily accessible. I love that I can take my iPhone videos and turn them into works of art that I am proud of.
One last thing that I think is important to mention is that this development team is very responsive to user feedback. They communicate quickly and try hard to keep their customers happy.

The best for creating cutting edge original content fast and easy
Super impressed with the new release of a classic essential app. This new version really takes making fast original creative content to the next level. It is very intuative and user friendly for the casual user and an essential productivity hack for pro level creatives to explore and customize images and video content that is stylistly their own. Great once you figure it out
I have actually loved this little app for the start of some NFTs I have been working on. It’s great once you learn how to come up with your own presets. I do wish that had multiple layer options and also added more filters. I would say it’s one of the top 3 photo apps I am using right now for pics and video make sure you save your own filters. Update***** they added some cool new presets to mix up. That is the key to this app. Find and remix preexist filters you can call your own.

Potential but marred with bugs
I love generative art and animation and think the concept of doing it on a phone amazing. I know how taxing this is and understand why there are so many crashes and freezes, but in general she has a lot of potential with the added ability to combine filters. The current implementation of it is quite confusing though and clicking certain filters will completely erase your current combo without warning. I think if they just followed a simple layering system and allowed users to control the wet/dry for each effect would be great.

If I lived to be 200, I still wouldn’t have enough time to do all the fun and creative things I would like to that this app offers. I just keep rolling the dice to see the endless cool combos. I’m no Oprah, but if I were, this would top my “favorite things” list. (My partner found me literally crying and asked what was wrong, I said they were joy tears. I feel like my creative sacral chakra door has opened, is aligned, and is on fire!) Thank you!

Amazing for short form music videos
I’ve played with all the filter and effects apps, and this new version of Generate has everything I need to make the music videos that have always existed in my mind but never have been able to move beyond my library. Real time effects and the ability to make your own combos of filters make creation so much fun. I haven’t enjoyed playing with an app so much since I first discovered Snapchat.

In LOVE with the new update!
I had some issues with the update initially (my end not theirs) Developer was responsive and helpful with all of my questions. Clearly they have been busy improving the app and adding tons of amazing new features. As an artist this is a dream tool. I absolutely love this app and keep discovering more features to experiment with. I also upgraded to pro, it is SO worth. Try it, it will be your favorite app too!!

No complaints. Love that the complete version is a reasonable amount then other apps. You can do so much. Developers, please! Add one more slot for effects so we can use 4 effects rather then 3 and keep coming up with more effects. Looking forward to future updates and i will be recommending this application to everyone

This is THE video / photo FX app for iOS
I’ve used this app for years to shoot music videos and social media clips. It already did a great job, but recent updates have made it 10x better.
Saving your own combos is a HUGE time saver and allows you to develop a brand better by consistently using the same fx chains.
Adding your own music is a huge plus for artists and influencers. And the fx react to audio in real-time. Similar results would take hours in other apps.
This is a great example of what developers should look like. I’ll be here for the ride.
