Asthma Tracker 3 (a.k.a. ‘The Big Update’) brings a lot of improvements in terms of user experience and daily usefulness for asthma patients based on direct feedback we got from you – our faithful users.
The Highlights:
• Better UI: We streamlined the user interface to make it more intuitive for first-time users and to make it more useful to experienced users.
• Secure & fast sharing: We replaced the old-school PDF export with datalinker.io, our very own, fully end-to-end encrypted secure data transfer service. Now you can take a detailed look at your asthma data or show it to others by simply scanning a QR code in your web browser (internet connection required).
• Modify entries: Modify PEF, puffs and symptoms without any restrictions.
• Entries for past dates: Choose for which date you want to add entries for PEF, puffs and symptoms. This way you can add asthma data from your paper
• Take Notes: Add notes to give your and your doctor more context information when looking at certain entries or assessing how your asthma is progressing. Choose between a set of pre-defined notes or free-text entry.
• Multiple medications: Choose for which medication you want to track a puff by selecting the right one from a list when adding a new entry.

What's new in Asthma Tracker 2? Short answer: a lot of things compared to the previous version!
Long and detailed answer:
- New colors and icons: Refined color palette in overview for your viewing pleasure as well as to make it more readable than before.
- New swipe menu: Rejoice! Pressing the menu button in the upper right corner now opens a menu. In fact, you don't even need to press the button at all. Swiping from the right screen edge towards the middle opens it as well, making it much more easier to use Asthma Tracker on larger phones (6 Plus and 6s Plus) as well as when you're on the go. The completely new menu allows you easy access to all major functions and settings inside Asthma Tracker.
- Redesigned entry screens for peak flow values, puffs and symptoms: While the old entry screens certainly did their job well enough they were mostly just plain boring input fields and by virtue of that not very user friendly. The new entry screens are much more suited to their function and now have the 'Save' and 'Abort' buttons at the bottom, making them easier to reach than before. Especially when you're using Asthma Tracker on one of the larger iPhones.
- NEW - Multiple reminders: This version of Asthma Tracker introduces a completely revamped reminder function, allowing you to set multiple reminders per day for measuring your peak flow, taking your medication or entering your symptoms. We designed them so that you can easily see which reminders are currently active and so that you can quickly enable/disable or edit individual reminders.
- NEW - Asthma Tracker goes Apple Health: We've integrated Asthma Tracker 2 with Apple Health. This has the following advantages for our users:
1) Asthma Tracker can now import peak flow values created by other apps or smart peak flow meters which work with Apple Health and iOS.
2) Peak flow values entered into Asthma Tracker are stored inside Apple Health thereby giving you full control over your data. You can keep your peak flow data no matter what happens to Asthma Tracker on your iPhone or iPod touch. Further you can regulate read/write permissions to your peak flow data inside Apple Health for each app requesting access to it.
- NEW - Activity powered by Apple Health: Entering and managing your entries for activities was a tedious and boring activity itself. Not to mention that the slider for the setting of the intensity associated with a specific activity didn't allow for entry of gradual values. So, since we've already done all the work necessary for integrating Asthma Tracker 2 with Apple Health we've decided to make use of it to relieve you of this task. New, Asthma Tracker reads the number of steps recorded in Apple Health by the built-in step counter or other apps/smart devices writing steps directly into Apple Health to assess your level of activity during the day.
- NEW - Privacy policy: Check out our new privacy policy detailing how Asthma Tracker handles your data.
- NEW - Contact us: Do you have a question? Do you want to request functionality XYZ for the next version of Asthma Tracker? Use the 'Contact us' button and write us directly. Reviews in the App Store are still welcome though. ;)
- BUGFIX - Export: Fixed a bug which could lead to the app crashing on certain devices when using the export functionality.
