Don’t like Facebook login
I started this game shortly after launch. Played it daily for years. Love it to pieces. Might have loved it too much as it kept me awake a lot. Unlike many other games I always found I could keep doing something. It has a lot of depth that you wouldn’t expect for a mobile game. There’s regular events and changes to the game that keep you coming back. This game to me would be 5 stars if not for the below issue.
I just came back to it after losing my progress. I don’t have a Facebook account nor do I want one, so I borrowed one my wife had made to sign in. Got a new phone in 2021, and unbeknownst to me my wife hand consolidated stuff so she got rid of the account I was using. I started the game again apparently 452 days ago. But I was disillusioned with the loss of progress so I didn’t come back to it til today.
I am now ready to start over and climb the ladder again, but still miss all the progress I had. I really wish y’all would move away from Facebook, or at least provide an alternative for keeping progress. Cause I realize that I’m likely to lose my progress again whenever I switch my phone and I really don’t want to make a Facebook account.

Great until end game
I don't do reviews very often. I played and paid a crap tin of this game and got to max level after several months of playing. Love the auto battle feature it was the main reason I kept playing. But once I hit max level the money I spent (which I could have bought two Xbox games at full price) the game hit a point where either A. I paid a cheap ton more for constant entertainment, or B. Played for several more months just to max out. But seriously what ticks me off the most is how even when you're not playing and get caught in war and lose, you get hit with SEVERE penalties. Huge chunks of gold and minerals and AP points out the window. After not playing for 5 days ( I was hit with a 54 million gold bill, 45 million mineral bill and 358 AP to recover. That's seriously just wrong to do. Unethical, immoral and just plain unfair. All that loss for not even logging in. You just lost a person that loves the hell out of this game. 5 stars for great gameplay but your money hunger and greed has brought this down to 3 stars. I would have kept spending money on this cause I felt you deserved it, but this is down right just rude to do this for taking a small break from your game. It's too bad I enjoyed it so much, for it to come to this; rather than just finally getting bored, because I felt I would have still kept playing the hell out of this game.

Keeps you busy
A lot to be desired, but it’s easy on my time, and I haven’t spent a dime. My nation is level 50. There’re 110 levels. I think my biggest complaints are how automatic battles are, and how linear things can be, like research or ship design. Maybe one of the reasons for this is this game is strategic, not tactical. By that I mean you determine how much you put into building, research, campaigns and so on, to achieve the most effective balance, but you’re not on the ground commanding your units through a detailed mission, for example. Still, it’s a hard game to stop playing, since there’s always more to do.
Worth trying if you’re a fan of casual strategy gaming in a multiplayer lobby environment. There IS some pvp, but you can control the rate you’re attacked by reducing the leadership of your combat heroes. Leadership is an indirect form of experience bonus. So far I’ve been attacked 5 times.

Well balanced and innovative
Like some of the other people who have written reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect, and thought this would just be another resource grind type of game. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there are many levels of game play, development of your fleets and weapons, heroes, planets. Like many other games, it is based on Action Points (energy that regenerates over time), and there are multiple ways to spend these, on research, planetary development, or combat. Development of heroes is quite complex, and it takes a bit of time to put together a good team. It is quite possible to play without spending cash, but development would go a lot faster if you did. All in all, I find myself coming back to this game again and again, and you are not penalized if you are away for a bit.
Later note, right now the game is frozen in limbo... when you start it, it says it needs to update. Then it takes you to its App Store page, where "Update" is not available, only "Open." The cycle repeats, you can bounce back and forth from the game to the App Store, but the game won't start. Tried refreshing Apps, no luck, locked out.

Probably the best Sci Fi game out there
At first I thought it would just be another multiplayer build troops and attack other players game. Yes you do do that but the layout and design makes it so much more fun. The way the AP works is amazing unlike most games that use energy this game allows you to unlock higher AP as you level up and allows you to even research upgrades with solid AP and no money needed meaning that whenever your funds are tight you can still upgrade. Also all build, research, train times are instant with no drawback. In addition, the way technology works is amazing, you get to outfit different fleets with varying weapons, armor, thruster and more allowing many different play styles. This game also isn't a grind and flows very easily. The only problem is lack of alliances. There is ally's which can send you gifts every day but I would like to see alliances who have their own leaderboard, chat and maybe special alliance buffs. Overall one of the best Sci Fi games on the AppStore. Pls Developers make more games like this.

I would like to see minor changes
Reminder to just be understanding of repetition maybe the options menu there can be a toggle for voices raid, hero, war. it's very redundant and sometimes it can annoy. That said a toggle for voices would be grand. Other then that. A special gift for a long time players would be great and create gamer loyalty.. In the last thing I could think of is you have to figure out how to award finding an alien fleet or destroying alien fleet or having a higher damage on the fleet for more weapons AND PLEASE DO SOMETHING OF THE ALIEN DOUBLE WEAPONS (like really whats the point of that work so hard to get the same thing boring truly boring) because I have had one of the weapons higher tier Alien weapons but I still need the pretech weapons and that is a turn off. So hard to get the pretech weapons in the higher tier weapons are easier great woopyido other than that I could find nothing else amiss with the game

Server Merge-very uncool😡
My husband and I have multiple servers each and have spent a ton of hours and money on this game. We both enjoy it a lot but this new server merge is absolutely horrific. We are both supposed to pick one of our servers and choose that to play from here on out. All the rest will be deleted. How do you pick when each server has different heroes? Each server is played differently. If there is so many 4&5 star ratings and positive reviews, why are you changing it to ONE server? What about all the in game items I have been saving up and haven’t redeemed?Now I can’t open the item to liquidate them. Why wasn’t there more notifications about this merge with detailed information about what this merge is all about?
How about allowing players to select their top 5 fleet heroes and top 5 planet heroes amongst all the servers and import them to the new server? Or better yet, Why not combine all the players resources and heroes into the one server? Seems like it would be fair considering all the time and money spend on the game.

Don't have to pay to have fun!
I love playing this game as they seem to let you earn so must that you can almost constantly play, as an adult with a full time job, wife, kids, and pets allow. I can always pick up my phone and play until something pulls me away, not the game trying to make me pay money to keep playing. Great job!!
One thing that can be fixed in an update is when using an AP recovery item to complete a task, instead of just refilling the AP, the task should be completed as well. As in: I have 0 AP and I want to upgrade a building on a planet, I have to use the AP recovery item then reupgrade the building instead of the upgrading the building, selecting use the AP recovery item on the pop up, and then the AP is recovered, then the upgrade goes through and the appropriate AP is removed from my AP bank.

Still a good game, but for how long?
My absolute favorite mobile game, it has been getting very boring though. While new content does get released, they ignore fundamental improvements to the UI. Glitches and lack of shortcuts to improve time have been put to the side to make way for new heroes, and less valuable items in events. The reward for grinding for 7 days straight, almost 24 hrs a day is minuscule. After almost 4 years of playing this game it is becoming irrelevant, and it’s sad. Devs need to spend some time on the facebook fan page and interact with their paying customers or me and many more people will leave this game. I used to spend a lot of money on this game, haven’t spent a dime in probably 6 months. Devs need to step up and interact or you can say goodbye to AstroNest.

So far so good
Took about 5 days to burn through as much as I could to get a feel of the game. Made it to lvl 28 and had a solid grasp at that point, but like every game from the start... there were things I wish I did better (manage resources, dont burn energy recharges too early since it recharges fast, saved up hero recruits 10 tickets at a time...). Then I decided to restart and had enough from day 1 that would have destroyed my 3rd day fleet handily from before... all for free. Now if a good deal comes up, I have a better grasp on whether its worth it or not for MY $ value rather than a game that dictates a spend or lose mentality. Liking this one a lot so far! Keep up the good work.
