Nice simple and free

Zoom in and you can see the full name of even the tiniest country in Europe. You get a dozen nice quality maps plus an okay time zone map. You can pan the map out from under the ad. If you need NatGeo level detail, spend $2; otherwise quit complaining about a free app that does what it promises.

Not worth it, even free

I hate to bash something free, but it starts by asking you to upgrade to the .99 version all the time, and has ads on every page. So it's free, but at an annoying price. Plus, even once I did upgrade to the "Pro" version, the maps were very simple and limited to just individual areas. Not much better than just having some jpgs on your ipod. If you wanted to go from North America to Central America, you have to exit the program and start over. I think there's got to be something better than this for the amount of hard disk space it consumes. I'm going to keep looking.

Good, could be better…

This atlas is a great resource to have at your fingertips, however there are some places with limited information or geographical markings, as sometimes find myself having to look a place up on the Internet because it does not come up in this app. All-in-all however, if you are looking for a good easy-to-use but simple map of the world for everyday reference, this is an app for you.

Great!

This app rocks!! I always have some sort of map that I have to fill out the countries and cities and this app is just what I was looking for!! This is the best atlas app you can find that is actually free!! If there were more cities maybe then that would just put it over the top!!

Great beginner's map

Great beginner's map. About the Taiwan question. Sorry but officially Taiwan is not an independent country. While China claims Taiwan, Taiwan also claims to be the only true and legitimate government for all of China and will not declare independence. If they ever would claim independence, China has threatened war. Also, currently Taiwan is not recognized by the UN or the Olympic Committee as an independent nation.

Some suggeations

I was hoping to be able to zoom in and get more details. Secondly, the app locks screen locks screen rotation with the button at the right. I'm a lefty and prefer the button at the right.

Prayer Warrior

I am going to use this map in my prayer journeys with praying for a different country every day! I will educate myself much more in learning the geography and be better able to relate to those I am praying for. The app is great!

Helpful

I like this app, it is very helpful, but to the holder and developer try to make it as quick updated as possible b'se some of the infos seem to be old and thus illerevant ! Otherwise it is so interesting and helpful !

Not bad for quick reference

The maps here are pretty good for quick referencing purposes, but it does not have an excessive amount of detail. It includes major rivers, major cities, and natural landmarks, like rivers.
