Atmosphere is the app for you. Leveraging on the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, Atmosphere classifies and tells you what kind of a cloud you are currently looking at, via your device’s cameras.
Atmosphere includes the following features:
◆ LIVE CLASSIFICATION ◆
- Atmosphere processes each image frame from your camera using Artificial Intelligence, providing you with live classification results and confidence levels, of what it believes it is seeing.
◆ SNAP*, IMPORT* OR AUTO CLASSIFY ◆
- Take a picture of a cloud and that picture will be automatically classified according to the type of cloud it belongs to.
- You can also import an image from your Photo Library for analysis by the AI.
◆ NO INTERNET CONNECTION NEEDED ◆
- This app processes everything on device, ensuring you all the privacy you deserve, while you spot the clouds.
◆ CLASSIFY IT THE WAY YOU LIKE IT ◆
- Artificial Intelligence can have its flaws at times, and when that happens, you can still take a picture of the cloud, and classify it yourself.
◆ NO TRACKING PRIVACY POLICY ◆
- Atmosphere does not, and will not track you. It’s that simple.

Bug hunt time!
A bug were found by a user of the app, who reported the issue via email. (Thank you!)
This bug causes the app to crash, when a user attempts to delete or share their photos of clouds from an iPad, regardless of trying to delete or share more than one photo, or just a single photo.
Thankfully, this bug does not affect iPhone users. This update fixes this issue for our iPad users.

Are you ready for more new features?
During the recent feature update, there was suppose to be a little more features than just those.
Now that all the remaining features are ready, here they are:
- Native iPad support! Atmosphere now runs natively on the iPad, with a specially designed user interface just for the iPad.
- Fixes for a ton of bugs!
- the cloud detection box is more refined now
- cloud detection box no longer disappears after switching of cameras (such as for different camera zoom amounts)
- improved portrait mode cloud detection

Feature update time!
Not a super big one, but one that I believe many will enjoy:
- You can now import photos taken outside of Atmosphere, to be analysed with the AI of the app! Simply go to the "Your Photos" tab and click on the Import button on the top right.
- Some super minor glitch fix are included here too.

Really useful app…
I especially like being able to point my iPhone skyward while stopped at an intersection to capture unusual or awesome cloud formations.
For the AI to work I sometimes have to reframe the picture until I get a relatively stable confidence value, at least in the 80s. Hot the camera button to capture it (before the light turns green).
I also use it on my iPad—works perfectly now that the bug is fixed.
Opportunities: picture sharing with other devices on the same Apple ID, offer users the chance to share images with the developer to furthering train the AI, and add examples of sub-cloud types on the “info” pages.

I love the app but I wish it would automatically tag the clouds of an imported photo.
