Description

The AutoStitchPic app combines several photographs into one continuous image. For example, you can take 3-30 overlapping photographs of a city skyline, and then merge them into a panorama. This app can assemble photos that are tiled horizontally as well as vertically, and multi rows photos supported.

Learn how to make a good panorama photo:

Setting up for your shoot, a stable position to take your panoramas from is important. Once you find your potential spot and set your iPhone camera up, rotate it to the extreme right and left edges that you want to include in your photo and make sure that there isn’t anything that is too big of a visual or physical obstruction. Something else to keep in mind is to try to set up so that the full range of your shot does not show shadows from you or your iPhone.

When you have the settings you want and have taken your extreme left pictures it is time to grab a reference point in the viewfinder about 20%-30% away from the right side of your viewfinder. You do this because you are going to swivel the camera so that this reference point is at the far left but still in the viewfinder so that there is some overlap between your photos.

As far as overlap is concerned, you are shooting digitally so snap away, overlap 30-50% if you want, but err on the side of overlapping too much. If you don’t overlap enough, as AutoStitchPic app attempts to blend the shots it will not have enough of a fingerprint to blend well.

Now simply repeat this process until you come to the extreme right end of your desired panoramic shot:

1. Choose a reference point about 20-30% away from the right edge of the viewfinder
2. Swivel the camera to the right until your reference point is at the left edge of the viewfinder
3. Take the picture
4. Repeat until you have taken photos that cover the entire area you wish to capture in your panorama

Make your panorama:

Now you are ready to ‘stitch’ your photos together. Please open each photo that you wish to add to the panorama in AutoStitchPic app. Click OK button. Now AutoStitchPic app goes into action. It analyzes and blends the photos. This could take several minutes.

Go ahead and save your picture and you have a panorama!

Features:

Blend Images Together: to have AutoStitchPic attempt to seamlessly blend exposure and color.
Vignette Removal: to correct for any natural lens vignetting (darkening) at the edges.
Geometric Distortion Correction: to repair any lens distortion (often caused when shooting at a wider angle).

Note:

Overlap the images – the images should overlap by at least 40%, but no more than 70%. Outside of this range, Photomerge may not be able to align the files correctly.
Shoot vertical – this is a little counter-intuitive since we’re making panoramas. It’s usually best to shoot vertical (portrait orientation). Since you’ll merge multiple frames together later to get as wide as you need, shooting vertical will give you a taller overall panorama. Also, you’ll need some of this vertical space for cropping. More on cropping later.

Good pano app- can do some interesting stuff
Photos aren't super high quality, but the fact that you can merge a number of still shots allows for some creativity that a normal pano doesn't allow. With a little practice you can take several photos of one person in succession across the panorama.
Tobin Rogers,
As bad as it gets
This is one of those cases where I purchased because I was willing to spend a couple bucks in hopes that one of the positive reviewers was actually right. There is no longer a decent stitching app available and I was really hopeful that maybe this would be something that filled the void. Maybe some people have had a positive experience with the app... No. I now believe those positive reviews were fake reviews. Horrible app in so many ways. Saves out lower resolution files than what the file should actually be. Stitching didn’t line up correctly at all in my tests with it. Interface is an embarrassment; Much like a new developer would be simply testing the waters on how to develop an app. It’s just wrong that someone would charge for something of this quality. And it’s wrong that Apple would allow it. You’ve been warned. Heck, I was warned, but I was desperate. Shame on this developer and Apple for this one.
In_The_Moment_270,
READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!
Okay so I travel a a lot and I can’t always be at home with my desktop so I got this app to stitch some pictures on the go. When you open the app you can tell the design isn’t very premium. Honestly I’ve had much better apps that were free. It would stitch my photos and then the app would crash before I could share the picture. Really big waste of money and very disappointing. I know it’s only 2 dollars but if I’m going to pay money for a little app on my phone it needs to be more functional than this. Also I would like to add this problem isn’t because of my phone I’m using an iPhone7. I need a response from the creators immediately, this is unacceptable.
JediJen,
Unparalleled
I am a photographer who has focused on panorama photography for over 20 years - beginning with handpasting my own, testing over 5 apps on Mac OS and now experimenting with iPhone 6 Plus panoramas. In my hands, this app has been flawless in rapidly and beautifully assembling sequential images in my photo libraries. Sufficiently "not to be missed" that it prompted me to write this first ever review - after years of fanatic iPhone photography. I can't explain the negative reviews that have been posted.
8484TMO,
Do not spend money on this.
I had used a previous version of this app long before iPhones offered to shoot panos using the Camera app. I had some new photos that I wanted to stitch and spent $2 on this new version. The interface is not optimized for the 6S+ and does not offer a way to obtain photos from the Camera Roll. Any pictures must be added to an album in Photos and then navigated to in the app (which is partly miserable due to Apple's album organization). Once I finally got the photos selected, the app put way too much perspective in the stitching so the final product looks way off. This was a big disappointment.
aa11qq11,
total failure....Revised ration to 5 stars
My original rating was as follows: does not seem to work at all. Not at all intuitive, a total waste of money!

For some reason the software did not function initially, However, it does now, and it is fast and easy to use, with seamless results. I really find it a great asset for stitching panoramas, while traveling. Well done guys!
SkyKeith,
Excellent - Does exactly what I want
I wanted to stitch my own panoramic images. This app does that and makes it extremely easy. I took 3 pictures, opened the app, selected the images from the camera roll, clicked the check mark☑️ and in a few seconds there was my panorama. Couldn’t be easier.
jgirl5799,
UPDATE!!! FIX IT!
UPDATE:
After a few months and especially the last few nights, this app has crashed on me..
I changed the 5 to a 1 now as this app does not work like it used to when I first started...
This app was making me super happy, but this crashing upon importing the photos is sad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not sure where the false bad reviews are coming from. I am a professional photographer for over 16yrs.
Working and editing only from an IPADpro now there is not a lot of programs that can do panos.
I have tried the other pano apps and the others did not stitch well nor gave the quality like I needed.
This app was beautiful and I have gotten refunded for the other stitch pano aps..
Truly happy with it!
I flawlessly am doing panos from 9-20 images at a time and this program nails it. LOVE IT. Well done guys!
just_a_guy...,
Love It!
Installed the app today... and Love It! Not sure what experience others had, but it worked for me first time, every time... I’m an older guy and not really adept with technology - but this was a snap to use... I have been taking panoramic photos of the Utah Sky all day, and every 5 pic stitch was, to my untrained eye, perfect...
TwizzyMgee,
Wasted Money
I had pictures that I took from a trip in the wilderness that would like to stitch to create panoramas. I've had experience handstitching in Photoshop as well as using Windows photo Gallery to stitch for free. I know that it's possible to assemble the pictures by hand, they overlap, and I know I could do them by hand ..but this app could not figure it out. So it was completely wasted money and I won't be able to take these pictures again unless I redid my two week long travel.
