MrRuckus,
Not Perfect, But So Far The Best Ive Played
Like many other grumblers in these reviews, it “feels” like it knows what you’re betting and weights the dice accordingly while using the random dice set; however, if this truly bothers you, get some cheap dice and use the manual dice set. Yes it’s much slower to play like that, but I think it’s really the only way you can get around the hackusations. Yes it would be nice if it didn’t feel that way, but let’s be honest, even if it actually wasn’t rigged or whatever, people would still complain. Also, in a real random roll, strange clumping of numbers is pretty much demanded by random anyway. Any dark side player can tell you that 4’s and 10’s can and do out show the 7 all the time.
Other than that, it really is a solid game. No it doesn’t have the fun bonus bets and yes, betting hop bets o n e a t a t i m e will have you wanting to punch a baby by the 3rd or 4th roll, but there’s a ton of stuff that makes it great.
mcraps711,
Rigged to the hilt to make you loose
This game is rigged to the hilt to make you lose!

Make a $25 don’t pass bet when a point gets established take single odds. Then make place bets on any remaining inside numbers for 10 or $12 depending upon the numbers that are available. Then make a $10 come bet. Watch the flurry of seven outs in short order that happen over and over and over again to make you lose on the inside numbers. Most of the time the seven out will come very quickly either the first second or third number. You can bet on this happening almost all the time.
This Isn’t the only example of extreme rigging That is built into this game but there others. For example anytime you increase losing bets at either the pass line or don’t pass line to try and recover previous losses You can be sure that a huge amount of your bets will be lost in succession almost all of the time when pressing into losing pass or don’t pass bets. I have no idea why the Writers of this program have incorporated This frustration into their otherwise well written program. I can only speculate that it is perhaps they have a personal vendetta against gambling in general and are trying to frustrate the public into not going to gambling casinos because of the destructive nature of gambling to society. Whatever the reason, be advised that this version is sure to keep you frustrated no matter what gambling system or approach you take to try and win at this game.
President Clark,
Almost perfect
I've played quite a few craps apps and this one is the best but could be better with a couple of modifications. First off though the gameplay is awesome. It's very easy to make and take down bets. It tells you what you can and cannot do. It helps with the math and placing the bets in the correct multiples depending on the point. All that is great and better than any other craps app. It could be better by allowing me to make changes to payouts, specifically the Field bet when a 12 is hit. Every casino
I play at pays triple on a 12 and that certainly affects my payout strategy. Also, it seems like the 7 is weighted in some fashion to what is being bet using the standard dice. I'll look every hundred rolls or so and 7 is consistently above is probability line. Also it seems to be weighted pretty evenly on the come out roll, but as soon as bets are placed, the 7 is most likely. Fix that and I'd pay more for this app and give it 5 stars.
Gonzo-the-Great,
Revived and getting better!
IMO, Aw Craps! continues to lead the pack of similar simulators for speed, clarity, instruction, ability to save some recurring bet amounts and responsiveness.

Huzzah! After several years, a developer has returned to keep the app updated and make improvements. Already a solid Craps simulator, the recent changes are helping the evolve to reflect more recent iOS updates.

The minor bugs introduced with the new revisions are understandable and are quickly addressed.

The (new) developers appear to be focusing on offering a full table’s-worth of betting options while maintain a compact, playable size.

Keep it up!

Please note: For those suggesting the game is fixed when using the red dice, it’s not. Check your overall rolling statistics. With sufficient rolls, you will see a bell curve. If still not satisfied, roll your own dice and use the app interface to play all other aspects except the physical rolls.

For the red dice results are determined by a true random number generator that outputs a 1-6 for each dye. Therefore, outcome is random.

I enjoy the app because it’s an opportunity to quickly test various betting strategies without losing money. Once I find a strategy that works for my bankroll, I can practice in the app which makes it easier the play the game I want in the casino (if I every make it to one).
crinsley,
Good practice app, best craps app ive found
The layout is good. Its easy to make and take down betsZ you can see your roll history and profit history. As another reviewer said, the 7 seems weighted and I dont think the rolls are true random. However, that doesnt really bother me. The only thing that bothers me - does the dealer have to warn me every time I press a bet? I dont care if you don’t like it - im doing it. An option to turn off dealer warnings would lower frustration levels. A more true random would improve gameplay a bit, but this is a fine app well worth the price.
BryantR,
Helpful, customizable, and user friendly
This app can be customized from starting bank roll, to table minimums, from standard statistical dice to manipulated statistical dice to simulate a hot roller or even a “dark side” roller (cold dice). You can go at your own pace (set it up to roll fast in case you’re just interested in numbers..... or simulate a real feel table where it has to hit the wall). This app lets you refer to the roll history of a session so you can see how many 4’s were rolled since the last 7 and much more. This is also a great teaching tool on terminology and their meanings. It has an awesome data base of tools. I highly recommend this app to anyone wanting to learn, or a Craps veteran like myself. Have fun!
Rod T.,
The best craps app!
Update: April 2019: To the reviewer who said they couldn’t exit the game on their iPhone X the key is to keep the phone in landscape mode and then swipe up. You can not turn back to “normal” orientation and attempt to swipe up.

=============
As an avid craps player I find this app to be the best available for iOS. I bought this app a few years ago and it has not disappointed.

This is a game and a trainer. It has a lot of customizations including setting how hot or cold the dice are. You may be wondering why you'd want that feature. As a trainer it's nice to set the dice one way or another to practice your tactics. Will you play the pass or don't pass. Maybe you want heavy field action. Favoring dice outcomes helps you hone your skills.

The apps seems to be updated just when it needs it. My recommendation for the next version is to have the ability to choose between different caller voices. The callers voice is fine but just like in a real casino the crew rotates and you get different people through your playing time. Unless that is you don't have this app and lose at the table right away!
WT@22,
Dice very unfair
The more I played this game the more I realized the “miracle” rolls for the house seemed to come too often. To test the rolls I set up the following scenario. I put a lay bet on the four and place bet all the other numbers. I then bet on a hard four. In this situation the only roll that can lose is a 3-1 or 1-3. Probability says those rolls should come up once every 18 rolls. The dice rolled the 3-1 or 1-3 every three to five rolls consistently. To test further, I removed the hard four bet and bet the 3-1 hop bet. Now the only roll that can lose is a hard four. (Probability - once in 36 rolls) As anticipated, the hard four hit just as often as the 3-1 and1-3. To test further, I repeated the same bets using the 6-4, 4-6, and hard 10 with the same results. During these tests I had the dice set to “warm”.

I do really like the way the game operates and how complete the table is with hop bets, etc.
tthumb828,
Designed to learn only
Algorithms are set so you can’t practice any betting strategy and win. I’ve bet the dont and layed the nine and hoped one combo of the nine. Still more non hoped nines show up. I’ve martingaled the pass line for seven levels and sure enough multiple 7 outs and no sevens on the come out. Turned around and martingaled the dont and multiple 7’s on the come out and all points hit for again seven levels. Placed the inside and sure enough 4 and 10 show up and then the 7 I bet the iron cross and hoped two sets of seven, sure enough the one seven not covered showed. No body is that unlucky. Great to learn, they only way this game comes close to having a change is betting traditionally And that is what the designers and their sponsors want. My advice is practice your betting strategies anyways and don’t worry about the rigged outcome.

Best Choice
Sooo much better than the in-app-purchase games especially if you want an accurate simulator without a lot of nonsense. The dice are fine. Choose ‘standard dice’ for real world results. Over time, results match expected statistical outcomes. Can even use ‘Manual’ mode and roll your own if you still don’t trust it. Hot and Cold modes are a gimmick but easy to ignore.

In-app-purchases have ruined mobile gaming. To simulate them, go to a casino, buy a bunch of chips, play until you lose or throw away any winnings, then buy more chips. Glad to find a $2.00 app that finally emulates my actual experience.
