Description

Baby's Musical Hands is an award-winning musical toy for babies and toddlers for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

As a game designer and developer, I love my iOS devices. But as a new father, I realized how much my son loves them too. I decided I could put my experience developing for iOS to use, and build an app for my son to play with. Baby's Musical Hands was born!

This version contains:

- A fix for the audio in the app. Previous versions paid attention to the mute switch, but this caused a lot of confusion. The app will now play music, even if your device is muted. Don't worry, you can still turn the volume down using your device's volume controls, if you want to play quietly.

- New retina iPad artwork

If you're enjoying Baby's Musical Hands, please update your reviews on the App Store after downloading the update. Your reviews mean a lot.

Mia harp,
Cute app but it needs a harp
Hi my name is Mia Strayer I am legally blind and love your little apps they are very good for cause-and-effect the one thing I would change is the drum set sound to a Harp sound I think that would sound really good especially for little kids I am a kid at heart
I downloaded these apps because I like stuff with cause-and-effect because I cannot see very well
I am definitely going to recommend these apps
The only change I would make is that you change it to a heart most babies love music I think iHarp would sound really soothing instead of a drum
Diane B2,
Accessibility!
This app is self-voicing and fully accessible for children who are visually impaired or blind. Thank you for creating an app that is exciting for ALL babies and toddlers!
FYI: the app does work with VoiceOver (Apple’s screen reader); however, only the piano sounds are heard, even when touching the read and blue squares.
A bit less fat now,
No accidental exits or menus—yay!
No silly animation, so it’s more active play and not just watching TV. I LOVE that toddler can’t accidentally exit or hit a menu that stops the keys from working. Also love that there are no in-app purchases so I don’t have to worry about accidental purchases.
wherescate,
Perfect
My parenting does not involve screen time for my child. But I came across this app and it is PERFECT. It's simple, clean, and minimal. My daughter (currently 15mo) loves playing music and pushing buttons so this is great. We can even work on colors with it.

So, so, so, so great!
coffee powered mom,
Musical app that doesn’t play music
No sound. But baby does get graphic star explosions when she touches the squares.
Blue-apple,
:(
Doesn’t work with my new phone. Loved this. My kid loves this. Please fix

It's perfect for my cousin kaysin
sorbett,
Excellent example of how to do an app for young kids well.
This simple app is perfect for the intended audience - very young children. My wife is a literacy outreach specialist for the library and is anti-"screen-time" for little kids but even she had to admit that this app is actually a good app for youngsters.

Why? Because this app encourages imagination and creativity and has no commercial content or "tie in". This app is a pure musical instrument and software toy and your young child is very likely to enjoy it.

Excellent job!
Smellyrunningshoes,
7mo old loves it!
My baby loves the clapping game and when we "play percussion" along to music. A friend pointed me to this app and it was an instant hit. I particularly love that once in the app, the only way out is the iPad button making it difficult for baby to accidentally navigate away (as she often does with other kid-oriented apps). This was a very well spent 99 cents.
VerSanP,
Screen moving
My seven month baby loves this app, the only problem the one I don't know how to fix it is that when she starts playing with her hands the screen moves to another page in my ipad. Any suggestions in how to lock it so my babay with her hands can't move the screen?
