BARBRI Hack 1.04 + Redeem Codes

There were some small bugs with the video player, but it worked okay the first day. Since then, I haven’t even been able to log in. It says “error while loading learning plan” every time. Having an app that doesn’t work looks way worse than not having at app at all.

Update: the app has started working again. As long as it keeps working, it’s great. The 1L lectures are really helpful. An update that provides for CarPlay features would be awesome for those of us commuting.

The app is a great idea but has so many bugs. I’m an audio learner so I listen to the videos as just audio (like a podcast) but they refuse to update and every time I pause I have to find my spot again. Extremely annoying, especially if I’m doing something like driving or exercising that I don’t want to stop to find my spot if I had to pause.

Similarly, the app doesn’t update my progress when I’ve completed something so I have to go in and mark “completed” for the videos. Sometimes the app will say one thing and my computer another, very annoying since I want to study not at my desk all summer in an attempt to retain my sanity before this exam.

Finally, please update to show the schedule and hours screen I can see on desktop. I want to be able to track my hours and edit my schedule on my phone, it makes zero sense whatsoever why I’d be able to do that on mobile browser like Chrome or Safari but not on the app. I went to law school because I can’t do math, don’t make me do arithmetic after 7 hours of studying to confirm if I need to do another 45 minute problem set. Give me the hours in the app. You literally already offer that service, integrate your services into the app to make it useful.

The iPad app could be much improved to contain all essay assignment prompts and the library. A port of the website would be better in some respects.

Accessibility settings should be universal rather than requiring it to be set for each assignment.

An overhaul of the user interface is needed. Unnecessarily complicated with menus hidden and missing automated diagnostics.

The absence of the multiple choice question bank in the app is a huge issue and should be fixed. Would be wonderful to have question on my phone during the commute.

I thought this app would be similar to the online platform that allows you to access your bookshelf to do readings and complete assignments. I’m using it on an iPad and it makes no sense why the books are not available. For the amount that we pay for this course, you’d think they could hire a better developer to make the course materials accessible. The app also constantly glitches and won’t even let me access videos or quizzes online, and the download function is completely nonfunctional. Extremely disappointing and I’ll definitely be recommending other prep companies to my friends taking the bar in the future.

The app allows for downloading of solely the audio portion of lectures, and this is great (e.g., perfect to listen to lectures again in spare time outside of study hours). However, the app does not let the user select a specific module to listen to, unlike how it does when watching videos. Furthermore, it also does not remember where the user paused a given audio lecture.

Lastly, if the app had a CarPlay feature for downloaded audio lectures, it would make listening on the go much easier.

If these changes are made the app will become significantly more useful.

Usually when I open it, it loads forever and never gets to the sign in page. If I do, it is basically useless because not only can you not download the videos for offline usage, they will not even open when you are online. All you can do is mark tasks as complete. It is seriously the most useless app. It’s so much less hassle to just login on safari - I have no idea why they even created this app. Thank god the website hasn’t been crashing as much as I hear it used to because if I had to rely on this app I would surely not pass.

I have been trying to study for the past week, sadly at the moment my laptop is out of commission so I’m using my iPad and using the app offered by Barbri to study for the Bar.

I can’t play a single video. It’s not my wifi, and I’ve tried it on data as well. It won’t work on a phone, it does not work on iPads. DO NOT try to use the app to play the videos. They WILL NOT play.

I guess everything else has worked though which is the only reason they have two stars instead of one.

Often the videos won’t play, navigation is not intuitive even when it does work, and app often does not open at all but freezes on the barbri logo. In fact I just deleted the app and I’m redownloading which is what brought me to this page. Extremely disappointing especially given the cost and reliance on the convenience.

As others have said, the videos don’t play in the app. I can’t tell if it’s the app or something on the backend, but these videos just won’t play. I waited five minutes and it finally started playing audio only with the video frozen. It would be nice if the app worked.

I really really wish this app would work. It’s my biggest dream. It just won’t. It always says it couldn’t find anything and loads nothing. This would be such a powerful studying tool if it worked. If Barbri could invest in this and specifically make the MCQ available on the app, I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Disappointing
