So happy that West finally made their audio resources more accessible for on the go listening with this new app. No more searching the website and adding resources to my library through the browser. Now I can search the library and download resources all within the app.
[ignore this pgh, see developer response below] The biggest issue with the app that I’ve seen so far is you can’t select tracks to delete. The only way to make space on your device is to delete all the tracks you’ve downloaded. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to select specific tracks, or at least specific publications, to delete like you can on every other audio app I’m familiar with. I think this was even possible with the previous version of this very app. This is the reason I rated this app four stars instead of five. [updated review to five stars because this was not actually an issue.] Hopefully this is high on the list of things to fix in future versions.
Other than that, the app seems to work great. Downloading resources seems much smoother and faster than in the old app. I also don’t recall the old app offering variable speed, so I love that the new app allows you to increase speed in 25% increments up to double speed (and reduce the speed too if that’s your thing).
If you haven’t used West’s audio resources before, they are a great way to get perspective on your law school courses while you’re doing other things like commuting. I am constantly recommending these audio resources to my classmates and now that they are easier to access, I’ll feel even better about doing so.
Please keep supporting and improving this app West!!!

To developer: Thanks for the response! So glad to see that tracks and collections are easily deletable! I love this functionality now that I know that it exists and I think that it’s good that it’s slightly hidden so you’re not accidentally pressing delete all the time. And I’m guessing it will be obvious to most iPhone users to swipe left to delete individual tracks like in other apps.
