Description

Research cutting-edge technologies, enact policies, protect ecosystems, and modernize industry to cut down carbon emissions. Manage your resources well and you might survive.

ACCESSIBLE, BUT COMPLEX SIMULATION
Will you favor industrial reforms, nature conservation or people initiatives? There are many ways to solve climate change and reduce pollution. But saving the planet is not an easy task. The more carbon emissions you produce the more extreme events you will have to deal with.

STEER SOCIETY & INDUSTRY
You have to balance the power-generating industry, social reforms, ecological policies and scientific endeavors. Will you transition from fossil fuels as fast as possible? Or will you focus on carbon capture technologies first? Experiment with new strategies and don’t be afraid to start again.

235 UNIQUE CARDS

Game cards represent inventions, laws, social advancements, or industries - each designed on the basis of real-world climate science. In addition, partially randomized world events occur, forcing you to adapt your strategy. Gradually unlock new cards in the game encyclopedia and chart your path towards a new future.

IMPACTFUL EVENTS, HIGH REPLAYABILITY

The world of Beecarbonize reacts to your actions. More emissions mean more floods or heatwaves, investing in nuclear power raises the risk of a nuclear incident, and so on. Learn more with each run and you might overcome environmental catastrophes, social unrest, and even avert the end of life on earth.

Beecarbonize is a strategic challenge that lets you experience phenomena shaping our everyday lives hands-on. Just how many seasons can you last?

NEW HARDCORE MODE
We are introducing Hardcore mode, the ultimate challenge in Beecarbonize for experienced players. In Hardcore mode you will face the harsh reality of climate change. Can you defy the odds and save the planet even in this extreme scenario?

ABOUT
The game was developed in cooperation with leading climate experts from NGO People in Need as a part of the 1Planet4All project financed by the European Union.

I’m Obsessed (Atmospheric major here)
This game is a little tricky at first, but WOW I have VERY much enjoyed the replay-ability of this game! After defeating it (even through its 5+ different endings) I craved more from this game and so I have challenged myself! I have beaten this game by using ONLY fossil fuels as a source of power, and in a different scenario, I beat this game without the help of the environment- with this, I think that you all could implement a “challenge mode” or “disaster-scenario” with tougher mechanics. Despite this- amazing game with an AMAZING message and educational foundation to it! This game has exceeded my expectations for an entertaining method to increase discussion about climate change! I hope that this picks up in popularity and I see huge potential in this! Thank you so much to the developers from the bottom of my heart as a determined and excited atmospheric scientist and climate change enthusiast who appreciates a very well done and perfectly designed game like this!
SuicidalSodacan,
Worth playing
This was a nice little game that I enjoyed quite a bit. It was difficult at first, until I realized what I was actually supposed to do. The tutorial did a decent job of teaching the basic controls, but isn’t great at telling you what your actually supposed to be doing.

But after a few games I understood the actual goal, and haven’t lost a game sense. Basically, you are wanting to get a hold of one of five special golden cards (upgrade cards with a star enough). Once you get one, you win.

You lose if too many disasters happen at once or people starve.

Just make sure you’re producing money faster than people, and try to avoid any cards that increase carbon production, and pretty soon you can negate or completely eliminate carbon production entirely, and from there it’s a cake walk to victory.

Give it a try, it’s a relaxing little time killer that doesn’t force in app purchases or ads down your throat (I’ve seen none of either). Nor does it feel ‘preachy’ even though the game’s main purpose is obviously to try and make people think about their carbon footprint more.
matearl,
80's climate fear game
Game is well done and with more polishing can be a great game. With that said it can be overwhelming at first but after a few tries you will get the hang of it. I think the message of the game is to recognize we all have to work together to be in a better world but do not give in to the fear of global warming that is well funded by the WEF.

"They" have tried to scare the public since the 80's and currently funding a false narrative of articles and control the liberal media to the point where you give into fear and do what "they" say to do and pay how much they say to pay.

In an alternate reality where we as a society make all the right environmental decisions, it will never address the individual emptiness of the heart and soul.

I believe the first step is to acknowledge this earth didn't just appear by happen stance but created by God as described in the Bible and to have a connection with God through The Lord Jesus Christ and turning to him in repentance and accepting his free gift of life today.

The hope of this world is not in religion, government or science but in the finished work of The Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.

Simply Great
A really fun and simple civilization type game. Once you recognize the different cards and what they do, you can optimize the pollution in the green and yellow zone and have fun exploring the different cards. Won a couple times and then tried maxing out everything before winning. The developers might want to add a “quick coin add” or something that puts the total amount instantly when buying the cards. When I was adding the same cards over and over again, they were taking forever to buy because I had to individually put in like 300 coins per section. But, that’s only an issue if you were messing around with the limits of the game like me. Fun fun fun.

Developers Please Read This
The game 11/10. There is no question about it. The logistics are just incredible. There is so many different ways to build your strategy - it’s incredible.

There is only ONE huge thing. The game is easy if you ignore the speed, i.e.
the amount of rounds you need before winning the game. but once you introduce the aspect of winning the game quickly, a whole new strategic nuances come into play. You absolutely have to create a GameCenter integration where people can compete based on how quickly they solved the game. It will take the logistics of the game to a whole new level.

Fun game about sustainability
Great new game from Charles Games. This one is a system balancing sim that requires you to build industry while balancing society, environment, and science research. Fun to play, good for educational purposes too. Would like a bit more tutorial in the beginning and some info about the cards (I didn’t understand why certain cards had the effect that they did). Overall recommended to try, especially because it’s free!! How many free to play games can you find these days without micro transactions??

Potential to be great
Really it's a great game, but it can be 100% completed in just a few hours. Game play is fun at first and I'm actually impressed at how unique it is and not just a copy of another game. But once you understand how to play and you've collected all cards and endings that's it. I enjoyed this game a lot and would love to see more updates with custom scenarios or really just more content overall. It's not one of the best games I've ever played, but it honestly is better than most. And hey it's free with no ads which is a huge plus! Great job on what there is so far, I just wish there was more!
ThePyroTiger,
Race against time!!!
I’ve only been playing for maybe an hour and I’m obsessed at this point. With climate events completely random, you have to be careful how and when you use your resources. Thankfully there’s a pause button if you need a moment to think or study a new card. Would be cool to see challenges added (not that I’m any good at those, but I know puzzle solvers would love it lol), but overall it’s a great standalone game!
Xckid5k,
Fun game with loophole
Great gameplay, very fun for a single solve but not great replay value. Would be helpful to have multiple scenarios or levels to beat. Major loophole is strategically adding/removing cards from play at different times. For example, you can remove your starting industry card immediately before producing money, which eliminates the 20 emissions. Then add the card back immediately after money production to speed up the industry clock again.

Overall very nice game, looking forward to a few updates!

Really fun and addicting
This game is one of the very few that I have kept. It has the exact amount of difficulty to keep it interesting, and winning feels better because it was so hard. I also like the fact that a lot of the cards work together in order to keep the emissions down. Altogether, this is an excellent game and I would definitely recommend playing it to other people.
