Love this app, keeps you up to date on pretty much everything you could ask for when it comes to horror. Props to the entire staff for doing a great job! If I had one complaint it would be the ads. Ads are part of the deal, I totally get it... but to have loud casino game ads pop up right away despite my phone being on silent really blows up my spot lol. The actual content is top notch.

This is a simple yet well designed application that allows users to easily access a myriad of features. The main section most users will be concerned with is the film news category. Here users can scroll up or down to access the latest news concerning horror films as well as other somewhat related genres like darker comic book movies. Users can easily read articles selected as well as share them with others or post comments. Users can also view horror film trailers and promotional clips, listen to the BD podcasts, chat with others when signing in as well as modify your settings. One category that I think is a bit unique compared to other film applications is a game news section that focuses on horror video games. Fans of the movies tend to be fans of these type of games as well so there is something extra to use the app for.

Look, I know that developers have to recoup their money somehow...and I don’t mind the odd pop-up ad, but recently, they open up with those infuriating, long game ads which force you to wait through some nonsense you have no interest in and which has zero to do with the site itself or horror in general, before they finally allow you to escape via a microscopic x cancel icon.

This practice enrages me and any time a developer resorts to those type of ads, I immediately uninstall the app. I would much much MUCH rather pay a small fee than have to stare at a screen with white hot hatred, so furious that I’d rather get rid of it rather than risk a cerebral hemorrhage just to read the same information on their website hassle-free.

Seriously—you might lose a few people with a .99 charge, but you’re gonna lose a helluva lot more if you insist on mentally waterboarding anybody who might show an interest.

This app has the most obnoxious advertisements I’ve ever experienced on an app. You can’t even click out of some of the full screen pop-ups of military tank games and casino slot machines. God help anyone who wants to access BD’s actually cool horror content. You’ll get lost in the pop-up full screen advertisements, and 50% of the time it’ll bring you to the App Store. Because you didn’t want to check out horror news, did you? You wanted to play tanks and slot machine games. And once you open the BD app back up, you’ll get another advertisement. For real, do not bother with this app, just go to their website.

I have had a few annoying problems, such as when scrolling for older articles the app sometimes repeats articles over and over again for a while. I also wish it had a couple of features for articles I liked, like being able to save them or having a search function like on the website. Overall I’m happy though, the podcasts work well, news updates regularly, just needs some work on the glitches and such.

I’ve been going to the Bloody Disgusting site way before they made an app, and I will always go to BD for horror movie and game news but the app needs a few improvements. Lately the app opens with an advertisement which I find really annoying, I totally can deal with ads in the middle of an article or before a video clip, but right when you open it is too much for me. Keep up the great work on the coverage of the horror genre, but please make this one little adjustment.

This is a horror companion done right. I don’t have one bad thing to say or an idea to improve on. It serves all my informative needs and then some. Sure there are horror movies out there that don’t interest me personally and the reviews and reveals seem endless. But when I do want to know about a game or movie this app feeds me and I know someone else with no interest is feeling the way I did when the whole world turned Suspiria

Greatest horror app I have ever seen, I am Technology illiterate and it is very easy to navigate. I find at least five stories to read and that's just with the horror news alone, plus everything else they have! You can spend hours looking up your favorite horror fetishes! Highly recommended.....I give five stars 👍🏻 do not forget to check out the kill count it is amazing!!!!!💥👀👻🤡☠️

A huge part of Bloody Disgusting is the interaction with other users. Horror movie lovers are known for elaborate discussions that get down to the nitty-gritty. Unfortunately, the Disqus comments section in the app consists of medium gray letters on a jet black background - nearly impossible to read. Almost completely illegible.

The Disqus comments section in the browser version of B-D looks perfectly normal - black letters on a white background. I’m not sure who is responsible for this gaffe, but it makes the app unusable. Installed and uninstalled five minutes later. Please fix this.

This is a must have for all horror aficionados world wide!!! There is never a dull moment when I go to this app on a daily basis because it keeps you informed on everything new and everything up and coming....Not just horror films but horror shorts, horror novels, horror video games and interviews with your favorite actors, writers and directors..... and plenty of classics and throwback information and news to keep it interesting......GOD, I LOVE THIS APP!!!
