Good but frustrating
I am a RBT and work with young children with Autism. Boom cards can be a fantastic resource for therapists and teachers alike. Now for the frustrating part. You can only build decks on the website. It’s annoying and aggravating that I can’t simply go to the app on my phone or iPad and make a deck to cater to a specific child. I have to wait until I get to my computer and build the deck on the website. Forget trying to use the website on your phone or iPad. It only makes things 10 times more aggravating!

Love the boom cards, but having problems
My students and I love the Boom Cards. They are delightful, but I’m having a problem. I don’t know how it happened, but somehow the FastPin was connected to one of my Zoom sessions. I can’t share my power point presentations on Zoom because a FastLink was connected to Website URL in Share Screen. I have tried and tried to remove the FastPin Website URL and I can’t. It keeps popping back up.
I don’t know what to do. Should I try uninstalling and reinstalling this app? Will I lose all my Boom Cards if I do?

Great concept, buggy execution
The concept of this program, which is to provide educators an easy-to-use platform for creating a variety of digital instructional materials, is brilliant and much needed. I work in special education and this should be a gift to someone like me. However, the program is still quite buggy, with pages freezing or not loading, and the Boom app on my iPad does not work at all. It opens to a blank page and that’s it. Good idea but when it doesn’t function it isn’t usable

Excellent resource!
As an SLP, I see many students with a variety of needs. I have found so many wonderful resources to use with my students and the children love the variety! I must say that I have not encountered any of problems mentioned in some other reviews. The app has matured quite a bit in the last 2 years and I would caution against basing any decision about whether or not to try the app on older reviews.

Games Freeze
I use boom cards in my classroom and my students love them. They use them on the computer, smart board and iPads. The only problem we ever have is on the iPads. The games will get stuck and have to be completely closed out and start again. I teach kindergarten so I have to do this for them. I happens at least three times a day on each iPad. Please fix this problem.

Buggy
I love this service and the concept is great. However, recently whenever I open the app and prep before an online lesson, then try to open in a lesson , I get a blank screen. I have to access boom cards through the internet not the ap. It takes minutes away from a lessons while I recalibrate.
I have an updated version of the app. I’m now debating if I should keep my premium membership or downgrade for a service that is not performing properly.

My students love BoomCards
I love using BoomCards in my class because kids love them, I get automatic data collection and kids get instant feedback as they go. I also love creating my own BoomCards - so easy and fun to make. I like them better than Google Docs, etc. plus you can easily assign BoomCards on Google Classroom.

I Love Boom!
Boom is such a fun and useful app for my students. I can make relevant content for them using the same content and context I use in class. I love that my voice can explain. I only wish there was a way to lengthen the audio file size.

Boom Cards are the best!
Boom cards have transformed my speech therapy sessions and I have been able to use them during both teletherapy and in-person sessions. The games keep my students engaged and I love how easy it is to plan!
