I was stranded in the wilderness. I had gone camping and my Global Positioning System happened to fail on both my IPhone and my dedicated GPS. I couldn’t get the compass on my phone to work and my physical version was busted. My map was inaccurate, showed lakes where there were none, mountains where there were valleys, and couldn’t be used for navigation. I had only my solar charger, my phone, and some camping supplies. For 20 whole days I camped in the wilderness, awaiting the sound of an overhead helicopter. By the 7th day, I had run out of tinder, and all the material around me was unsuitable for such use. It was getting cold, and I would surely die without a heat source. I thought if I’m going to die, I may as well play one last game on my phone. I opened the app, and my phone began heating me up, staying the hypothermia, and saving me from the painful nerve damage and death. I repeated this process every night, opening the app to keep myself warm. Until on the 20th day, I heard the helicopter. I fired a flare and was rescued. I will never forget how this app prevented hypothermia
