The CloudControl ™ spa control system by Bullfrog Spas is a cloud-based and WiFi enabled digital control system that lets you monitor and operate your spa from anywhere you have a WiFi or digital cellular signal. CloudControl™ allows you to monitor all your spa’s electronic settings remotely. You can also start the tub, change temperature settings, turn on lighting, control pumps, and adjust filtration settings from your smartphone, web-enabled device or tablet.

Do not waste your money
Purchasing the CLOUD CONTROL module for my Bullfrog A7 Spa was a waste of $300. The app will initially connect, but then it just stops connecting after a few hours. Tech support for the app is a joke. They repeatedly tell you that your home wifi just isn't strong enough or your hot tub is too far away from your router or booster. My hot tub is 10 feet away from one of my 2 boosters. My wifi signal is so strong that I can use my wifi three houses away. It's not my wifi. The only solution I've found is to shut the power off to the tub and then turning it back on, but then it only works for a few hours again and you have to reprogram your tubs settings, which makes it very frustrating. Unless Bullfrog, who makes a great hot tub, can come up with a better app for their tubs, I would highly recommend not buying the Cloud Control module or downloading their app.

UPDATE YOUR APP!!!! It will not work with future IOS!!!!
I keep getting a warning from Apple that your app needs updated! UPDATE YOUR APP so we can use it to operate the the add on equipment we purchased!!!!!!

The app is horrible!! It only connects when we are at home in close physical proximity to our spa. When we are out and about it can take us 30-60 minutes to connect to the spa. If we do manage connect we have to close the app and reconnect just to make sure the setting that I changed are saved. On numerous occasions the setting I've updated using the app just blank out and the spa reverts to the settings saved in the spa panel.
Don't even try calling tech support for this app!!! They are rude and worthless, they know their app is junk, they refuse to talk to the customers who use the app.

Waste of app development time and terrible brand management
Why even bother promoting or pretending to have functionality that doesn’t actually work?

This is terrible for the bullfrog brand. An otherwise excellent hot tub, is rendered questionable by the awful business decision to pretend they have cloud control, but are either unable or unwilling to get the right hardware and/or software to make it actually work.

Seriously, Bullfrog, take the app down, and quit selling this option. It’s not an actual product that you are willing to invest in and make it work... it just makes the brand look bad pretending to have this functionality. I’m embarrassed FOR you guys for these terrible business decisions.

You’ve obviously had many years of feedback, and still have chosen to do nothing about it. Very unfortunate to let such a horribly executed minor feature detract from an otherwise awesome hot tub.

It’s time to update the app again
It worked great for a few months then wouldn’t work at all- then the app got updated and it was great again. Then they updated the app again and while it still worked, I hated the weird dial for setting the temperature- I couldn’t get it where I wanted it- and for some reason they completely removed the ability to control the lights 😖
Still no control for the volume on the speakers (which I really really would like)
And now.... the app won’t connect at all again -
It is very frustrating- 😤🤬😤

No issues, works flawlessly
I have a feeling the poor reviews are from bad routers. I used to suffer from connection issues as well and purchased a top of the router and never have connection issues. This includes this app as it has been immediately responsive at anytime I wish to use the app. It's nice to adjust your settings from anywhere.

New name - same old product from balboa
I have a straight line of 50 feet from a dedicated access point to my bullfrog spa. Nothing in between but the glass door that leads outside. I still have to power cycle the spa almost every day for this app to connect. I tried technical support when it was labeled as balboa, and apparently I'm the only person on the planet having this problem. They told me their wireless device is not supported being mounted inside the paneling of the spa. I have to mount it on the outside of my spa. Yeah that will look really nice.

The app works but needs updating
I bought the WiFi adapter 6 months ago and installed it myself. Got the WiFi setup and online within a few minutes. The app is easy to use but it missing key features like away mode and a schedule so I can have my tub at the temp I want it when I use it the most. And a chemical reminder. Please get this updated ASAP. A billion dollar company can surly afford these simple requests.

Finally working!
After 2 years of frustration as detailed by multiple reviewers, with connection to the spa never lasting longer than a day or two, I’ve now been continuously connected for the last year. Nothing changed on my end, same router and distance. I think they must have updated the firmware or the app.

Has worked great
Once my spa was up and running I opened the app and configured it to attach to my network and I haven’t had a connection issue since except when the GFI test shut down the spa. I do wish I had better control of the lights so I could pick the setting I want and not have to go through all the choices every time.

Junk - Lousy App
JUNK; that's the only way to describe this App when used with a new Bullfrog spa.

The app frequently locks, or will not sync with spa. Reset of WiFi unit requires use of a small magnet that is fastened to the electrical harness INSIDE the spa equipment compartment. On Bullfrog, this means removal/replacement of six screws and a heavy side panel, just what I want to be doing on a snowwy Winter night.

Calls to Bullfrog technical support indicate that the App's developer is providing Bullfrog with almost no technical support (not responding to Bullfrog's inquiries).
