Fabulous game. Gorgeous graphics depicting the New Orleans of the 40's, exciting cut scenes, instantaneous load between scenes. It was a very long game with a bonus chapter. There was a journal and you kept getting updated and clearly stated objectivesYou got a teleport map and labeled inventory. The HO scenes were very unusual, including pairs, putting objects back in place, silhouettes, and many other types. They were not boring at all! You had plus items to work with, and I like those because they are so interactive and different. The puzzles and mini-games were incredibly varied, and very unusual. You really had to wrack your brain, which some of the reviewers actually complained about. Then don't play, you morons! These games are supposed to make you use your heads!
The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I had a bit of trouble following the story at times, and some of the games were so hard to manipulate that I had to skip them. But all in all, BigFish, a fabulous game! Keep them coming. You have been doing great as of late!

The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I had a bit of trouble following the story at times, and some of the games were so hard to manipulate that I had to skip them. But all in all, BigFish, a fabulous game! Keep them coming. You have been doing great as of late!

Update: Wow. That was a long game. So bonus points for long playing time. And the same amount of points deducted for persnickety tapping spots (like on the candles in the tomb). And a few more deducted for a storyline that quite frankly, just fizzled out like a wet firecracker.
But still -- for the change up in HOP games, for the challenging yet fun mini-games, for the different location and theme-y music, for the long playing time and just for its uniqueness, I will sick with 4 stars on the review, and recommend this game as a "buy."
What a pleasant excursion from the castles, fairy lands, deserted towns and snowed-under villages. We're in New Orleans, in time for Mardi Gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler!!

Nearly perfect!
I am not a person to rave, but there is nothing about this game I didn't like, from the music (which I ALWAYS end up turning off, but not this time), to the storyline, to the twist on the HOS and puzzles, to the details the developers included in the game, including the ability to tell at a glance whether or not you have located the hidden musical note in each scene. This game had everything I look for in a game, plus a lot more! And am I the only one who totally loved the fact that the landlord's name in the bonus round is "Stanley Roper"? The few minor annoyances are virtually of no consequence, so I won't bother to mention them! Kudos to the developers and Big Fish for a clever and witty, beautiful game. This was the most fun I have had in a long time playing one of these games, and I have played hundreds of them!

Another Great One From Mad Head Games!!!!!
Other developers need to take notice of the top notch games being made by Mad Head Games! I absolutely love everything about their games and Cadenza did not disappoint!!! Fantastic storyline and voice overs plus the best original music I've ever heard on any game before! The graphics are super colorful and crisp and the HOS and mini games are unique and fun! And if all of that isn't enough there's tons of extra items (musical notes) and morphing objects to search for throughout the main game and bonus chapter as well!!! I look forward to playing other games from Mad Head and hope Big Fish and other developers keep games like this coming! Buy this game asap, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Great Fun! New HOG Formats!
I really enjoyed this game. Loved the setting and story. I think this is the first racially diverse HOG I've ever played also. Glad Mad Head brought us into the 21st century! Also loved the completely new approach to HOGs. In some you are both finding and matching items in the same mini game. Loved the new map challenge in the detective's office. I also loved going through the extras section after the bonus game and finding additional games (jigsaw puzzle to put the instrument repair shop back together and the cutscenes that accompanied it upon completion.)The game shows a lot of original thought and creativity. Great job!

I guess I am the only one but I got really tired of playing games that had little to do with thinking and more about where and how you place your fingers to hit the sweet spot....I play these games to exercise my brain....not my fingers! Story line was hard to follow and I still can't figure out motive unless it was revenge...I am not a big fan of jazz so that did not help. But thank goodness we all don't have the same taste or we would all want the same husband!! I did really like the fact there was there was no long loading time...nice graphics and voice overs and map. Loved the accents as well.

Cadenza: Death and Betrayal...why no record of purchase?
Loved the first time I played, when I purchased this game. Good storyline, graphics and games I also enjoy the extra challenge to find something extra in scene. BUT...after reloading to play again, I'm told there is no record of purchase. What gives, guys? This isn't the first time this has happened. And then there are the purchased games that are "no longer offered by Big Fish." I've spent hundreds over the years and then Big Fish responded to my query about those no longer offered, the answer was, "sorry, don't offer..." How about even a partial credit or refund? While I'm b:()$&ing, love the sales but don't love that lately, I have to purchase to even try the game.

A jazzy blast!
This was one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a while. I LOVE the music! The characters were so interesting and well-developed. The voices were diverse and having the different ethnicities and cultures in the storyline was excellent! The puzzles were all fun and challenging and looking for the notes, morphing objects was great with the bonus of being able to find the ones I missed in the extras which is something all games should include. The bonus activities kept the continuity of the storyline and capped off the perfect game. Not to mention it was wonderfully long and I never wanted to hurry it along. Bravo!

Wow, What a Awesome game, with realism. No Fairies or monsters, or childish storyline. This game is so Very well & cleverly done. The hidden object scenes, Very unique, fun and challenging.

Finally Something Different!
Love this game & it's set in my favorite city, New Orleans. I purchased quickly & believe me I play a lot of HOA games, but lately I haven't found one that kept me interested since they all seemed to be the same game. The graphics are great with nice voice overs & plays smoothly on my iPad. I also like that the HOAs are different than the usual type. There's a unique map to help & there's no huge delays when going from place to place. Definitely worth the sale price!
