Inspired by the creative energy of Ireland’s Northwest, Cairde Sligo Arts Festival is a unique coming together of artists and audiences. It is a celebration of imagination and shared experience that welcomes all.
Cairde Arts Festival takes place July every year in beautiful Sligo town and country. Bringing together like-minded people, music lovers, passionate performers, families, artists, musicians, creators, rebels and refugees of a changing festival landscape, promoting a fun, safe and green environment for all.
Highlights include Crossing Skin, a new festival commission of an atmospheric and intimate dance installation from award winning dance innovators Junk Ensemble, Still Floating, the Irish premiere of BBC and Edinburgh Fringe award-winning Shon Dale Jones’s witty and topical new play, writing workshops with Bernie McGill and Jan Carson, the return of the Cairde in the Park, the Transcendent Documents, our first large scale open air exhibition and much more.
