Description

Enjoy Calcudoku, a free puzzle game that tests your math and logic! If you like Sudoku puzzles, you will love Calcudoku!

About Calcudoku math puzzles:

Every Calcudoku has a single solution that can be reached logically. Like Sudoku, fill in the grid such that no two digits repeat in any column or row. Use the shapes in the grid as your guide. Each shape contains a number equaling the product of the shapes' digits. For example a shape with three cells containing the number 6 may have cell values 1, 2 and 3, as 1 × 2 × 3 = 6. Challenge yourself further with larger grids for experts, up to 9x9 size!

Calcudoku offers thousands of free math puzzles with features to help you solve each puzzle. Enjoy an unlimited number of hints and checks in case you get stuck. Use the calculator tool to help with multiplication and division against large numbers. And rest assured that all puzzle games are automatically saved and restored letting you stop and restart games with ease.

Track your best and average solve times over history with our stats tracker.

Calcudoku, a popular Sudoku variant, was originally invented in 2004 by Japanese math teacher Tetsuya Miyamoto.

You can play Calcudoku by Razzle Puzzles on your phone and tablet. Enjoy Calcudoku online or in offline mode!

Fun challenge
Fun puzzle game! I like the multiple levels of difficulty. Some of the expert modes I’m still trying to learn how to solve. Sometimes if I have five minutes on the train I’ll do an easy Calcudoku just to bang one out since it’s still fun to play those ones. It’s nice to have the notes available and saved games to keep track of longer games. I love the new stats panel too and the achievements! It’s fun to see my solving times over history on the charts. Please keep the features coming and thank you for this great Calcudoku game!! It reminds me so much of Kenken in the newspapers that I used to play when I was younger. Glad to not have to bring along a paper since I can just play on my phone whenever I want!

Challenging and entertaining
I love this app. It engages my brain so I don’t even feel bad doing it as my “time waster” app (in line at grocery store, in the morning at work when I’m getting warmed up for the day). My recommendation for the next update is to make the calculator clear automatically when you open it (not leave the last number that was there in the space because you end up making a really long number that you didn’t intend to)—just feedback for the developers—I will still use it regardless because I love the app!

Nice Game - Minor improvements needed
I like it a lot better than Mathdoku. It’s user interface is much friendlier. But a couple of enhancements would bring it up to 5 stars.
1. Number each game and have a timer. This way you can go back to work on difficult specific games and try to beat your previous times.
2. Have an “undo” button to sequentially allow you to go back and make corrections. This, to me, is more useful than the “erase” function (x) - although you should still keep this also. The undo function would allow a ‘permanent’ number to be erased, but your previous pencil marks would then be visible again.
miscellaneous!!!!,
Great game!
I I downloaded this game for a long car drive. but I played it before the car drive and it was so much fun it also does not need Internet at least for me. in this game it’s a great puzzle I am a sixth grader and we do these in our math class and it’s just fun to have a version that I like. One thing though on the parts of the puzzle where there’s three different boxes you can only put two little notes if it’s the same number. but other than that this is a great game and you should definitely get it.

One Request To Make It Perfect
This is one of my favorite puzzle games. If I had one request, it would be the ability to choose which operations were used in a puzzle before playing. I find myself constantly opening new game after new game to get a puzzle that just uses addition. I find those to be the most challenging. Perhaps a constant setting where the player could decide just “+-“ or “x+” puzzles, etc. and be able to change it whenever. Hope you make this happen!
kaiteekai,
Almost perfect
Compared to the other kenken-esqe puzzle apps I’ve used, this is by far the best. The design is sleek. No overwhelming ads. I love that you use the same number icons for notes and answers, the app designer just needs to have the pencil button highlighted when “note taking” to erase all confusion. I agree with the other reviewer who said it would be nice to have the option to turn off automatic note erasing. When I put in an answer, all my notes in that row and column erase that number. I prefer playing without that feature.
Half Dog 62,
Update
Frustrated:
I don’t see how to contact the developer so I’ll share an issue here.
I enjoy the app but the latest update doesn’t seem work. I play Calcudoku each morning but today the game doesn’t launch. I also tried clicking on the “Open” button, from the apple App Store, and it still doesn’t launch. I see that version 1.31 was launched 1 day ago so I’m wondering if that might be part of the problem.

I see that v.1.32 the is shown in the version history now. I still can’t launch the game on my iPad. Frustrating = watching your stats get better then loose it all. This game is not for me.
Left Temporal Lobe,
Nice game
Great challenge; I like how the user can adjust the size of the puzzle based on time on hand, state of mind, etcetera. I do wish that the “congratulations/new puzzle” box would not cover the newly completed puzzle. This is one of several apps that I use as cognitive therapy and I’m sure that I’m not the only one who likes to review a “victory” before moving on to the next level. Other than that, (and perhaps bolder lines to delineate cell groups), I find it to be an excellent part of my brain’s daily workout.

Fun Game
This has become one of my favorite games. The user interface is easy and straight forward. The multiple levels of difficulty make it more interesting. I do have one suggestion. When you have candidates in an open square and a candidate gets erased when a number is put in another square, if that number were to be erased later, could you reinsert the erased candidate?
Mother Mucca,
The best of a bad lot of KENKEN games
This one is probably the best designed of the kenken games. The visual design is good, and it’s easy enough to use. There’s no way to select level of difficulty, and the puzzles are all on the easy side, though. There are also a couple of quirks, like being able to pencil in numbers that have already been played in the row or column, and not having an undo button seems like a huge miss, since it’s dead easy to implement.
