Calculator 2: The Game Hack 2.0 + Redeem Codes

Pros: This game is great. Seeing it at first I assumed it would be a kids math learning game and well so far it’s not the most difficult game and I’m sure kids would have a lot of fun learning math with it. I definitely would not describe it as a math learning tool it’s an engaging puzzle game with cute art and light humor. I’m not a big math guy and I certainly didn’t think I would want to spend time on my phone doing math but this game is just incredible and addicting and doesn’t feel like I’m really doing math at all. The UI is also super cute and everything is controlled with the buttons on the calculator. When I first saw the store button on the menu I thought it would be some micro transactions but turns out it’s a cute merch store with everything from plushies to t shirts to magnets. If your done playing through the story there are also daily challenges to try which are super fun,

Cons: This game has an average amount of ads I’m perfectly fine with it and I get it’s an indie studio making a free (and really fun) game but if you can’t bear watching ads keep that in mind. Also this is small but the arrow on the calculator looks like this => which also looks like a greater than or equal to sign so that confused me at first but one I realized what it was I was fine.

After having finished the game, I figured I should leave a review of my experience with the app.

Firstly, the art style/graphics is simple yet loveable. The character guiding you throughout the game is quite the adorable little thing. Next, the gameplay. It's challenging and I will admit, I got stuck in a few levels but it never made me feel frustrated nor made me feel like solving it is impossible. The Hint feature is easy enough to use and understand. Then there's the game dialogue. I'm a sucker for puns and Math. A combination of the two? My heart was won haha so I was pretty entertained the whole game. Lastly, the bugs. The bugs I encountered were the Hints not working right in a few of the higher levels and the "Win" flashing not going away even when after I transition into the next level so I have to close and relaunch the app which fixes it. Personally, I didn't mind them because they weren't too annoying and it didn't prevent me from playing and finishing the entire game. Besides, a bug telling you you're a Winner nonstop ain't all that bad haha

So overall, I really enjoyed the game and have already recommended it to my best friend. Additionally, I'm a member in the Dev's Discord server so I know they're working hard in fixing the reported bugs so I have nothing to complain about.

Hey! I love the game. Any complaint I had about it in the early process was fixed in recent updates, so thank you! It is a really fun game that lets me love math outside of the classroom again.

I have one recommendation. Maybe an undo button that will reset to your previous number and move count? I know there have been plenty of times when I hit the wrong button because my finger slipped and then I have to reset the entire level, then completely lost the process that had gotten me there. Not necessary, but I think it would really improve the gameplay and lower the annoyance levels that are faced when human error occurs. Haha

This game is really cool. It challenges the Player to think about math and numbers in a way that the common math curriculum just doesn’t have space for. It invents its own rules for math and helps the user figure it out by starting small and building up to more difficult levels.
But...
The bugs are awful. Bugs can be pretty bad but these bugs can mean that you don’t see the next puzzle at all. It just displays the victory screen until the app is reset. First, all you needed to do was go to the home screen. Then, you needed to close the app. Now nothing works. The fact that there are so many updates tells me that the developer(s) are working on fixing the app, but it’s still pretty broken.
I love this game, and I got really close to the end before I started having problems. Uninstalling doesn’t seem like an option now. I just hope these problems can get sorted out in the future.

Surprisingly good. I’ve only been playing for about 10minutes and am quite addicted. Unfortunately I’ve experienced at several points even if I correctly input the necessary number to achieve the goal, the game won’t register. I’ve got the number but the simply won’t acknowledge it. This happens seemingly randomly. As well another occasional glitch I’ve encountered where clicking clear will reset my goals as well. Making it impossible to complete the level as clearing the current number and resetting my number of moves is necessary. But as I’ve previously stated both glitches seem to appear quite randomly. So after resetting the level enough time it progresses normally.

In the end I still enjoy the game. Just wanted to put this out there.

The game’s concept is still great, and I enjoy playing. However, the user interface is worse than the original Calculator: the game app. It requires a few more screen taps to move between the Settings page and the game page and to move backwards to previous puzzle levels. that becomes quite annoying when you do it a few times. Calculator 2 would earn a five star rating from me if it reinstated the Calculator 1 user interface.

Also, there do seem to be many more ads than in the original Calculator. However, I won’t complain about that; if I enjoy the game enough to continue using it, I’ll buy the ad free version. Right now, due to the user interface, that is not likely.

I think it’s a really cool concept for a game and I saw one of my friends playing it a while ago. I never got around to it until now, and I don’t know if anyone is aware of this, but on my iPhone 11, it just crashes. I’ll get on, it’ll start the opening of the calculator, and then just crash. The farthest I’ve gotten into it is hitting enter and seeing the dot character tell me he doesn’t have time to explain before the game crashed again. I’d love to play, and would happily rewrite this review if the issue got fixed. I don’t know how to reach out to any of the team because the game crashes before I can find any information, but I’ll look online and try to contact someone because I really do want to play this game. Thanks to anyone who sees this!!

I really like this game. The math problem solving is fun, although I do wish the game would emphasize straight math problem solving more ( +,-,*,/) instead of removing and sorting numbers. However, I understand the need for newness in the puzzles so I’m ok with it. The ai guide is also incredible and very well done.

One thing I wish would be fixed is the “sort “ symbol. When I see sort > I assume that it will sort greatest to least like the math operator suggests. However in the game, this sorts least to greatest ( putting a zero in front of a nine. ) This makes little sense to me in a game predicated in math problem solving. I should be thinking hard about how to solve the puzzles, not retracting myself how to read the math symbols.

Love this concept, have played through both games. I think there’s something wrong with level 199 - firstly, you can tap “Insert 2” as many times as you want and it won’t count as a move if you don’t hit Enter. Secondly, I’m pretty certain 950 is impossible to achieve without abusing this glitch. I worked every possibility backwards...maybe it is supposed to be 930?

On top of all that, I DID manage to beat level 199 by spamming 2s for 10-15 minutes until I got a number that I could work with. And then the game crashed at the beginning of the final cut scene... so I have to beat the level again I guess.

Very rarely does a game come around like this one. And even more rare is a game of this quality FREE. Every second of this game I have thoroughly enjoyed; weather it is the charming character and simple story thrown into the game, the unique puzzle solving system, or just the challenge added from elementary mathematical operations, this game has done it all near perfectly.
There is passion to this game from the developers and a great community outreach and feedback which not only sets the game above many others, but also the developers themselves.
