Color combinations are inspired by the color wheel construction, you have just to choose the main color. Good app
I love all the variety the paid version of the app offers. It’s not very user friendly at first to figure everything out but I caught on quickly. My only con is the sidebar stays on the left side, which puts me, a lefty, at a weird angle. I wish you had the option to switch it to the right side.

Love the app, but....
First of all, I love this app, I love how it’s layout allows you to actually practice on the screen....I have not found any other apps that allow you to do that, bravo!!!
And with that being said, I do not mind paying the fees for all three of your Calligraphy apps, because I have actually learned a lot from them, well done!
Now for the but..., I was not having any problems with them until your last update 10 months ago, in the Handbook when I am in the words section, I will be writing and all of a sudden the line strike goes crazy as I am writing. And then the app closes down.
In the Art version one, in the Young Love option for letter type, in were you get to YZabc, the entire grid with the lettering to practice on is missing. And on the Penmanship one, I have not run into any problems yet, it even responds to my Apple Pencil with no problems.
And with that being said, I do not mind paying the fees for all three of your Calligraphy apps, because I have actually learned a lot from them, well done!

Time trial time period wasn’t clear.
I had downloaded the app a week ago, and I must have opened it to check it out, and for what ever reason, couldn’t start using that moment. Fast forward a week, I sit down to use the app, I open it up, and every single box I touch tells me I have to pay $4 to use it. My first thought was that the “free” version was just a way to get me to download it, and I’d have to pay money to use it, while left a bad taste in my mouth.
Then I started reading reviews, and say there was a 72 hour trial. Knowing that didn’t make me feel any better because I didn’t see anywhere that said the moment I open the app for the first time, the 72 hour countdown clock begins on the free trial. So when I opened the app a week later, my trial was over.
I’m certainly not paying $4 for an app that I can’t try first. My advice to anyone wanting to try it is to make sure you don’t open the app until your ready to use it enough times with in the timed trial to know if you want to purchase it.

I can't speak to the free version as I never used it, but the paid version is beautifully done.
The app is a joy to use with the Apple Pencil. It is a great tool for relaxing and doing something constructive simultaneously.
My one suggestion is to have the option to lower the font size below 200pt, which seems to be the lowest you can go. I like to practice with an actual calligraphy pen by turning up the brightness, placing paper on the screen and tracing the words, sentences and letters generated in the app. The font is oversized when transferring to paper. However, the large fonts in the app are perfect for working on nuance and detail.
The app is a joy to use with the Apple Pencil. It is a great tool for relaxing and doing something constructive simultaneously.

Not very functional; just a trial version
App is not responsive to pressure from the Apple Pencil which is not very useful for learning calligraphy, where pen pressure determines thickness of line. After a short period of time, the app won’t let you proceed without paying $4. Granted, in some sense this is good and I wish more apps let you have a trial period before purchase, but given the lack of stylus compatibility I won’t be purchasing this app.
Edit; response to developer: I’m definitely using the Calligraphy Penmanship app, not the others you mentioned. Brand new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, other writing apps work just fine, tried every writing option in your app, your trial app has a bug/isn’t compatible

Look Elsewhere
This app is not responsive at all, and there is at least a two second delay between when I start writing and the app catches up. The interface does not work as you would expect it to, and there is only one pen type. On top of that, it has a limited 72 hour “trial time” as if anyone would ever pay to continue using this app. Do not download this app, look else where. Also, I have an iPad 6th Generation (which is literally the newest regular iPad model you can buy) and the Apple Pencil so there is no reason the app should be as slow and laggy as it is

Great simple app - bug when purchasing
It would be great to have some more styles and stencils, but the app is great. However, when I tried buying the full version, there is a problem. Hope it's fixed soon.

Unresponsive, Incorrect Form
I was hoping to improve my calligraphy using this app. I tried several different fonts and each one was just as unresponsive and the way it makes you Form the letter is completely incorrect and quite honestly, backwards from how you’re actually supposed to learn calligraphy. Don’t waste you’re time getting frustrated trying to teach yourself calligraphy. You’re better off buying an actual book and using a real calligraphy pen.

Great for practicing
I really like this app. I know before the free was even over that I was going to purchase the full app. The only thing I can say wrong with this app is that there is a slight delay when writing but you kinda get use to it.

Doesn’t work
Not sure when I originally got this app, but the last few times I’ve opened it I have not been able to use any of the options. EVERYthing I select forces me to an upgrade screen option, with no way to escape that screen. Have to repeatedly close the app, reopen, just to try another option. At the VERY LEAST, the upgrade screen should have an X to escape or go back. It’s a dead end. App is useless. Uninstalling.
