Description

CameraPixels is a unique manual photography app. The premium tools and intuitive UI make CameraPixels the best choice for professional mobile photographers. CameraPixels participated in Berkley Eclipse Megamovie 2017 thanks to its extensive raw bracketing.

All-in-one
=============
CameraPixels is all-in-one capture solution, that supports multiple photo and video capture modes. Among them are Bracketing, Slow Shutter and Time-lapse modes. CameraPixels has the most advanced bracketing available on the iOS platform, which includes exposure and focus bracketing.

Best for macro photography
=============
With CameraPixels you can capture the best macro shots, be it a single image or a series of images, called focus bracketing, which can later be combined into one all-in-focus photo (requires external app for focus stacking). If you have an external macro lens, let CameraPixels save its name to the EXIF data for you, so later you can always remember which lens was used. Currently CameraPixels supports Olloclip™, Loupe System™ and Moment™ lenses.

Best for professional HDR photography
=============
CameraPixels has the most advanced exposure bracketing on iOS. With up to 15 images per bracket you can capture even the most difficult lighting situations. CameraPixels support auto-, iso and shutter-brackets, with an optional flash frame. The captured images can be used to create stunning HDR photos using your favorite professional HDR software.

Intuitive UI
=============
CameraPixels has a simple and efficient UI. The most important information is always in front of your eyes, and this allows you to avoid surprises like an unexpected flash fire or the wrong output photo or video format. Stop being distracted by the uncertainty of the settings, concentrate on your capture!

ISO/Shutter priority modes
=============
CameraPixels is among a few photography apps that support advanced exposure modes like ISO and Shutter priority. These modes are indispensable during dynamic photography when there is no time for adjusting manual exposure.

Histogram and clipping warnings
=============
The histogram is a great tool to estimate your exposure. It can show you if the photo has under-exposed or over-exposed areas. Clipping warnings, on the other hand, can show you exactly where those under and over-exposed areas in your photo are.

Depth capture
=============
On dual/triple-camera devices, CameraPixels can capture depth information alongside the colour photo. If the photo has depth information, in the preview window, two additional buttons appear (depth and portrait) that allow you to inspect the depth of the image and apply it to simulate an aperture.

Presets
=============
CameraPixels was designed for professional photographers that value efficiency of their workflow. The unlimited presets, including the possibility to expose them to Widget make CameraPixels the ultimate photography tool.

Manual focus:

Focus peaking has been moved closer to where it makes sense. Now you can switch between focus peaking modes (OFF, TRANSIENT, PERSISTENT) by tapping a button on the left side of the value selector when adjusting the focus. Together with the focus peaking, we also added a focus loupe option, which can be controlled by the button on the right side of the value selector.

External lenses:
---------------
In this release we added support for Loupe System lenses. The name of the lens is added to the LensModel in EXIF header

Bug fixes:
----------
- Enhanced processing was disabled for the manual exposure mode to prevent unexpected iso/shutter speed values in EXIF header
- Fixed the exposure bracketing mode bug for processed output formats (JPG/HEIC) which sometime would produce images with clipped highlights
- Fixed the bug with focus and exposure reticles being visible even when manual modes are used
- Small visual enhancements

2021-01-24
- Fixed orientation issue of the message box
2021.1
2021-01-20
Welcome the first release of 2021. In this release:

Support for ProRAW format.
=====================
On iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max you can now select ProRAW format in Photo, Focus Bracket, Exposure Bracket, and Combined Bracket capture modes (requires the Full Resolution IAP purchased). The ProRAW format can be combined with JPG and HEIC processed formats too (but not TIFF at the moment). Always remember that the ProRAW format takes a considerable amount of space on your iOS device and takes longer to capture and process.

Front camera mirror option.
====================
Many of you requested a possibility to have the output of the front camera in a mirrored orientation. Now you can activate the Mirror Front Camera setting in the CameraPixels setting screen. When the option is activated, the output photos and videos will have the same orientation as you see it in the viewfinder.

External lens selector.
====================
The CameraPixels app is top-rated among focus stacking enthusiasts, and it's not uncommon to use an external lens in such photography. In this release, we introduce the external lens selector (Olloclip lenses) that allows saving the external lens name to the EXIF header of each captured photo. We'll be adding new external lens support in future releases.

Bug fixes
===================
We also fixed a few bugs that sneaked inside the previous build. If you find a bug or have suggestions on how to improve the CameraPixels, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

==================
Welcome the new CameraPixels. Rewritten from the ground up using the latest Swift version and iOS frameworks. The best professional photography app just became even better!

What's new in CameraPixels 2020.1
==========================
Close collaboration with professional photographers for the last year helped us considerably improve UI and UX of CameraPixels app. The app was completely rewritten using Swift 5 and the latest iOS frameworks. This made it possible to add clipping warnings and focus peaking features which tremendously help during the manual framing and capture. Since the histogram shows vital information of the current scene, we have improved it adding a full luminance real-time histogram calculator. It works in photo and video capture modes!

CameraPixels 2020.1 adds support for the latest iPhone models with multiple cameras. Now you can take advantage of the ultra-wide camera of iPhone 11 Pro. In this release, we also added improved Portrait mode with enhanced processing options (Smart HDR or Deep fusion on supported devices).

Presets were always an integral part of CameraPixels and version 2020.1 adds a possibility to specify output album for captured media. The album must exist before it can be chosen for a preset (you can create albums in Photos app). One of the most requested features during the development of CameraPixels 2020.1 was the ability to add custom preset to Today's widget for quick access. We heard you loud and clear, now you can choose any capture mode or preset to be placed on Today widget!

CameraPixels was always known for its best on iOS bracketing. We took it a few steps further by adding an option of a flash frame to the exposure bracket. For macro photographers, we added an option of the combined bracket (exposure + focus) for ultimate results! For supported devices enhanced processing in focus bracket can also help with complicated lighting.

Multi-shot capture mode was renamed to Slow shutter. We also added HDR option on supported devices to improve results in difficult lighting conditions. And for those who plan to create night timelapse videos, we added support for the full intervalometer!

Video and timelapse modes now also have HDR option on supported devices. CameraPixels 2020.1 also adds support for HEVC codec on devices/cameras that support it. The video capture mode gains support for the total video duration.

The whole list of changes and improvements is too long, therefore here we mention only the most important ones:
- UI and UX were optimized for manual capture in close collaboration with the professional photographers (thanks!)
- The app was rewritten using the Swift 5 and latest iOS frameworks
- Added support for the latest iPhone models with multiple cameras
- Added portrait capture mode
- Improved live histogram
- Added album selection for presets (album must exist, can be created in Photo app)
- Added enhanced processing option (Smart-HDR or Deep fusion on supported devices)
- Added clipping warnings
- Added focus peaking
- Added Today widget setup. Now you can add even custom presets there
- Added flash option for exposure bracket
- Added enhanced processing to focus bracket
- Added combined option (exposure + focus bracket)
- Added HDR option in slow shutter mode on supported devices
- Added support for full intervalometer in slow shutter mode
- Added HDR option in timelapse and video capture modes
- Added total video duration in video capture mode

pleasehp$$,
Best app ever just one problem
It’s the best app ever would give it 5 but I recently restored my iPhone 7 and before I previously got the free app and did the purchase within the free app and now when I hit restore it won’t restore my purchases of 4.99$ please help
000xxx000,
Meh. Doesn’t support RAW on iphone 8
Doesn’t seem like it had been updated since iphone 8 came out; picture format only shows JPEG, TIFF and HEIF.
According to the description, raw (DNG) is supported on iphone 7, so this just seems like poor design

Update: The developer claims that the description mentions that DNG support requires IAP, but that is not clear from the language. There is one mention of a limit up to ‘HD resolution’, but HD is a term associated with video resolution, so that is hard to correlate with not supporting DNG for still images.
TheFenixxer,
Good enough
The app is good, with a lot of options and what I was looking for... 16:9 camera. The bad things is that by using the lite version you’re only able to take pictures at 720p.
brotherPinspector,
Nice camera app!
This app has the features I need and allows me to choose the size of the picture taken! 😊 Thank you!
Kaendalift,
Good
💙💙
dweinberger,
It's alright
It's got plenty of great features and is priced competitively. Unfortunately, I will often find that my videos aren't saved (usually when doing longer timelapses in 4k), which is pretty disappointing. The design could also use some work.
iQuantumPush,
Disappointing
Its cool how you can change all this but you have to pay to use the full resolution of your own camera. I have a 12MP phone yet this app limits me to half that. Lite versions are always bad but this just isnt even worth keeping
intensity,
It was good but now it’s broken
This was a good app before but now it crashes every time I open it. Please fix it! I am using iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 11.2.5
ctjeke,
Does not save my photo
Love all the settings in this app, but as it does not save my photo, it’s kinda useless...
WNCAppleTech,
Amazing app
I love the ability to create presets for specific environments and situations. This app does the job of three different camera apps that I was using previously.

Not only is this a great app, the support group are extremely responsive when asking questions and submitting feature requests.

If you like having manual control of the photography process, this is the app for you.
