Description

Chromatica is a fusion of power and simplicity in one superior photography app. With premium tools and an intuitive UI, Chromatica is the best choice for amateur and professional mobile photographers.

Intuitive UI
=============
Chromatica has a simple, yet very effective UI. The most important information is always in front of your eyes, and this allows you to avoid surprises like an unexpected flash fire, timer delay or the wrong output photo format. Stop being distracted by the uncertainty of the settings, concentrate on your capture!

ISO/Shutter priority modes
=============
Chromatica is among a few photography apps that support advanced exposure modes like ISO and Shutter priority. These modes are indispensable during dynamic photography when there is no time for adjusting manual exposure.

Histogram and clipping warnings
=============
The histogram is a great tool to estimate your exposure. It can show you if the photo has under-exposed or over-exposed areas. Clipping warnings, on the other hand, can show you exactly where those under and over-exposed areas in your photo are.

Object tracking
=============
Tracking mode in Chromatica uses the power of vision framework. Long press on the object you want to track and let Chromatica do the rest. Depending on the object you have selected (face or generic object), the app will choose the most appropriate method to perform tracking. Visual feedback allows you to quickly detect if tracking is active.

Depth capture
=============
On dual-camera devices, Chromatica can capture depth information alongside the color photo. If the photo has depth information, in the preview window, two additional buttons appear (depth and portrait) that allow you to inspect the depth of the image and apply it to simulate an aperture.

Features:
- Intuitive user interface

The UI has been redesigned to improve efficiency for manual photography. Added few shortcuts to quickly switch between exposure modes; long press on
- ISO setting switches camera to ISO-priority mode
- Shutter setting switches camera to Shutter-priority mode
- EV setting switches camera to Auto-exposure mode
- White balance setting shows the list of presets
- Focus setting toggles focus peaking mode on/off

Use double tap on the setting to reset its value or switch to auto mode. Tap on histogram to toggle between clipping warnings on/off modes.

Redesign of EXIF viewer
------------------
The new EXIF viewer highlights the most important information like ISO, shutter speed, color space, etc.

Added tracking modes

Use long press on the viewfinder to select the subject to track. Chromatica uses a smart analysis to detect the type of subject user selected to track and chooses the most appropriate mode. When tracking is active a small note appears under the histogram.

Simulated aperture
------------------
If a photo contains depth information, the preview window will show a Portrait button. Once activated, a user can select the value of an aperture (simulated) to control the strength of a blur. Press the Save button to apply selected blur.

Quick start and User Guide
------------------
At the first launch of Chromatica we have added a Quick start to bring you up to speed with the basic interactions of the app. For more information on the usage you can now consult a built-in User Guide accessible through the Settings screen.

飞天小胖次,
Brilliant, but need some improvements
The UI should be improved, the place which used to slide to adjust some options is to small, I can easily touch the shoot button by mistake. And I think the fluency can be improved as well.
cp77,
One of my preferred apps for shooting RAW files on an iPhone
I want to two tell you how much I appreciate the design of this app when shooting DNG files! I have been involved with professional photography for years and the interface of this app is very intuitive and..., you did the right thing for real photographers by allowing us to have full control over our DNG files. Unlike a certain other company which makes it cumbersome and difficult to get the original DNG files off the phone and into a computer, you have done the right thing for the user with this app. I highly recommend this app for getting all the quality out of an iPhone that it is capable of producing, and without causing frustration with the user process.
FredW1970,
Question about the UI
I know what the 1x and 2x mean. But what does the D mean? I appears to block out all other settings except for the EV. I also cannot digital zoom with it activated so maybe that is part of the problem. Any clarification greatly appreciated. Fred
Allen Lieberman,
Disappointed in this app
I tested ISO settings by itself as priority on my iPad 3rd generation and on my canon Powershot 540.

On canon, clarity with ISO of 100 vs 400 makes huge quality difference. No noise seen at 100 and at 400, typical noise expected was seen. I had ISO set as priority in the app.

On Ipad 3rd generation using this app, the ISO of 100 looked no different than ISO 400 when I set the app to have ISO as priority. If ISO was truly priority, I should have had less granular look with ISO 100 than 400 as I experienced with the Canon Powershot.

Therefore, buyer beware as you won’t get same behavior like one would expect with ISO values being lowered on a picture.
Kokohtfhrfjtcbdsvkjbgdxy,
Nice but
When I start the app, it takes a few pictures without me pressing the shutter button. Other than that, it’s very nice. 👍
zimzalabim25,
Portrait Lighting
Hello. I downloaded this app for the Portrait Lighting feature but I’m dismayed for it doesn’t have it anymore. I think I’ll just get a refund for this purchase if possible and buy this again if Portrait Lighting will be available again. Btw, I’m using an iPhone 7+ that’s why. Thank you and God bless.
Ivan the Angry,
Great app
No ads, no bloat, no dumb "login with facebook" buttons. It even won't request internet connection. And UI is nice too. But please add some sort of in-app quickstart guide.
MaSsOot,
Bug Event

MyGirl!,
Hard to Find Photos
I have 3,000 photos. Seems I must go thru each one, one at a time, staring with photo #1, to find the one I wish to edit! I just gave up. Was I not seeing a simpler way????
Letavious,
Needs to be updated
The app is great but unfortunately I can’t use the portrait lighting effects on my iPhone 7 Plus anymore 😕. Rating 2 stars.
