Canasta has many variations, but in its essence, it’s a rummy-like card game where you create melds of cards of the same rank. Canasta Jogatina has two different game modes, classic and turbo. Play with 2 or 4 players and make many Canastas by melding at least seven cards of the same rank.

Why?
I like this game but why does it automatically end a hand? I could be in the middle of laying down my cards, and poof…that hand is over. Let us play out the hand. The winner of each hand can be changed on a “dime”. I find this a very annoying aspect of the game. Stop automatically ending the hands being played. I just downloaded this game two days ago… why are wild cards being thrown at a closed canasta when another meld can be closed?

Don’t like this new version.
I have played this game for quite some time. It has always had its quirks with the way the bots play the game. But with this new update, you have changed the rules and I do not appreciate having to learn your new way of playing this game that I’ve always loved. When the opponent goes out, and I don’t have a Canasta, even though I have laid down several melds, any red trays that I have accumulated get deducted from the score. That’s not how you play. Also, you don’t need the required number of points in order to take the pile. You just have to have two like cards and then you can play as many cards as you want that were in the pile to make the required number of points. That’s not how you play. I’ve had enough. This is goodbye.

Love this game
While I love the game, I have to believe that whoever designed the game had only a rudimentary knowledge of the game. Am frequently amazed at how poorly the bots play. They play the wild cards randomly, (as does my partner) often ignoring the opportunity to make a canasta, discard cards that would give the opponent a canasta, though often that player does not know to pick up. I am also occasionally dealt a red three which I cannot get rid of. I see that many of my complaints have been made by other players as long ago as two years. Obviously, there is no plan to improve the game. I must add though, that the last canasta app I downloaded was far worse than this one.

Still many bugs.
First, thanks for recent bug fix. But there are still problems. Like other players here I'm still being dealt red threes. Also, the scoring system is still broken. When tallying points made after a play to the board, it sometimes for no reason adds hundreds of extra points to that team's score. Also, why are the opponents ALWAYS dealt black threes? This is annoying. UPDATING this review 5/5/17: please please please fix the points tabulation bug. It's maddening. Red threes are still landing in hands dealt. And opponents are still being dealt black threes every time, or so it seems. We're putting up with advertising so do your part and fix the bugs. Thank you.

Aggravating
I play this game so much, I really do enjoy the game play but I have the sounds muted so I can play at work or when the baby is napping. The ads pop up extremely loud often without a mute button I can click quickly. And sometimes without even a way to close out the ad without rebooting the game. I am a firm believer if a game is muted the ad should also pop up between rounds as muted. Other than the very jarring and sometimes detrimental sudden sounds, the game play is really fun! If this were fixed somehow, I would give it 5 stars. Thank you.

Buttons freezing
The game is my favorite of all times but for the last little while I have had trouble with the cards on the far right side of my cards will freeze and I have to reboot to get them to work. Now the “Play Again” button has started to do the same thing. Reboot works but very troublesome. Also, why are they wasting wild cards on Canastas. Or using them for final play. They should not be discarded when you don’t need a discard☹️

I have been playing this game for many many months and it is the best I have found, but on my iPad there is no option to turn off the ads and it drives me crazy after every hand to have to wait for the ad. The other thing is in the real card game a player cannot pick up a card from the discard pile if that person already has a canasta with that card. That should be corrected. Those two things got the 3 stars otherwise I would have given 5:

Screen goes black
In the middle of a play the screen goes black. I have to tap the “x” as in an ad to remove it and resume play. This has been happening continuously. I’ve deleted the game and downloaded it numerous times. It doesn’t correct the issue. This is a new problem for me.

No knowledge of the game.
I agree on everything the review from texasnana44 has reported wrong with this game. The review was written on Nov. 8th., but doesn’t say what year. The goal is to make canasta’s, not throw away your wild cards on canasta’s already made. Don’t make any sense! This is written on February 2022 and I quess the creators of this game don’t care about fixing the very majors dumb plays that are made. Besides the one listed above the bot doesn’t pick up the pile when it’s his play and he lays down, say 3 jacks, and the bot in front of him just throw away a jack. Don’t make any sense!

If I could give this game zero stars I would. It has gone from predictable to unbearable with the new update. When playing with a partner, my so-called partner holds multiple cards instead of playing them on the board when they have already been melded. I just played a game where the partner hand threw away the same card we had melded three times in a row. It would have given us a 500 point canasta. When it takes the pile it doesn’t play the cards on the board and ends up counting against us at the end of play.
