HOW TO PLAY CANASTA
The goal of Canasta is to collect as many points as possible by drawing and removing peer cards. Unlike Rummy, Canasta is not about ending the game as fast as possible. To complete a round, you need a set of seven cards which is called natural Canasta. A mixed Canasta must contain at least four equal cards. The rest can be filled with wild cards. In addition to the Joker, all 2s are considered wild cards. The wild cards can replace any other card.

Easy to play.
Somehow I have two accounts and I’d rather they were combined. Sometimes the deal seems programmed rather than random. I don’t know how stars are earned when it comes to choosing tables or what the percents mean. I don’t know how to get out of a game in Quick Match when the bid is uncomfortably high for me. Enjoyable but could be better
The platform is fun in that you can play with other people and there are people on there at all times. It’s easy to navigate and I agree with other reviews in that “most” people are friendly.
However one big caveat is the dispersement of wild cards. When you first log on you will get 3 wild cards dealt each hand. Then as you continue to play they continue to dwindle. After a few games, you end up playing multiple hands with not a single wild card. Not just initially dealt with no wilds, but the entire game. It would be understandable if it wasn’t so skewed. I have never logged on and started a game with no wild cards - not once. But the longer you play on a certain day, the less wild cards you will receive. Developer claims that completely randomness is important to them, and that might be true overall, but my guess is it’s designed this way to keep you playing. At first you (and your partner) win games. Then eventually you can’t get a single wild card for several rounds.
It would be more enjoyable if they didn’t do that but of course they want you to keep playing & maybe even buy chips when you run out. You can just leave the game for some time & come back, then you get wild cards again.

More fantastic feedback…
Update: Premium player here… well, let me rephrase that, I PAID for a premium membership and PAID for extra coins, but have not been able to log into the game through Facebook for the past week. I PAID to start a club that I can’t access. My premium membership is dwindling away because I can’t access the game that I paid to play! I created another account using my email, but I’ve lost all the premium features, my coins, my club, my friends and all my statistical history. This is so not good.
I enjoy this game and play it daily. I purchased a membership and coins regularly. I was close to 4 stars, but could not seem to get good hands or partners which has lowered my rank back to almost 1. Tonight I played a four person game, my partner and I each with 2 stars, our opponents with 4 and 5 stars. I was fortunate enough to be able to pick up the discard pile and racked up enough points to win the game, however, this apparently didn’t sit well with the sore loser who BANNED ME FOR NO LEGITIMATE REASON WHATSOEVER! I’ve read other complaints about this in the reviews, how is this fair? I’m now banned for 5 hours with absolutely no recourse. Complaints should be reviewed before someone is suspended from playing. You need a better system, this is absurd.

It sometimes seems rigged!
There are some people who have only played a couple hundred games and already have 3or 4 stars. And then there is me ! I my cards are good and I get ahead and think , I should be close to another star , and then I spiral down . Very frustrating.
On another note , if someone plays sequence, shouldn’t they play that way? Just recently I played this lady and was excited to play sequence with the new card hand option, and she just played regular…. And when I called her out on it she is like “ well it is an option isn’t it ? “ well I guess, but why get in a game that is like that if you don’t play that way?

Unbalanced play. Needs work.
More challenging than a computer opponent but the hands are horribly unbalanced. I played a round where my partner and I didn’t receive a single wild card and another round where we couldn’t even make a 50-point meld because we never got enough cards. When the other team went out we hadn’t played a single card. Other times my team is the beneficiary and gets every card we need while the other team gets screwed. Would be fun if it didn’t feel like every game is rigged.
Also, almost every game I play at least one player loses the connection or drops out and the game ends early.

The app works well, but there are a couple of changes that would make it easier for the players. 1. When you view your cards, organize them by red, then black, then red, and then black….would make it a lot easier to separate the suits, especially when there is a time limit. 2. The sort feature is very nice, however, black threes, should always sort to the left, not within the suits. Just my thoughts. Thank you for letting me contribute.

Being restricted for inappropriate behavior
I am so angry at canasta palace, I went to play canasta tonight and I have been blocked because inappropriate behavior this is not the first time it is the third or fourth time. I have never been inappropriate a matter of fact I don’t believe I’ve had any conversations with any players. I really enjoyed playing with canasta palace you can tell I have bought many coins and I am now forced to delete a app. I am beside myself that you can just report somebody because either they were sore loser and lost the game or they’re just idiots I don’t think That I should be black thank you very much Jenny

Suggestion
I just don’t understand when the computer plays a hand when someone drops out. In a hand I was playing, when the computer hand went out and placed a wild card freely instead of making a canasta which would’ve made a difference in the win or lose of a game. I’m guessing it’s an algorithm, but I think it should b looked at.

I love the game however for some unknown reason no matter how many games i win my star rating keeps going deeper into the negatives i was at -1.2 now after winning several games i am now -5. Something this needs to be fixed. My sister is having the same issue after she bought her and i a premium membership. I would give it a 5 star if it wasn’t for the rating system keeps sending our star rating deeper down instead if raising it like it should when you win.

I play every day
I really enjoy this game. You can be as simple or as challenging as you want it to be. You can roll the roulette wheel and be partnered anonymously or you can create tables with your friends and enjoy an evening. With Covid we get on the phone and we all have our devices and play cards and chatter it’s worked out great. Love this app
