bh1021,
Love the app -great for diabetics
I really do love this app. As a diabetic who is reducing my carb intake (but not going Keto), it is helpful to track my carbs to keep them lower and/or find lower carb options. This has been great. A few things that would make it even better.

Suggestions/Ideas
🔸regularly update foods. I tried to add yasso frozen yogurt poppables and Yasso frozen yogurt mochi. It wasn’t found and I couldn’t update or add it myself. Also no listing for Orowheat small slice and other small slice loaves have more carbs than the selection I buy, so I can’t accurately substitute the bread I have with the listing available
🔸if you can’t keep new foods updated then allow a way to add a picture of the nutrition information label then manually enter the carb, protein, fats, or other into the user’s data base
🔸 sorting or look up by market where purchased to limit having to go through long lists of foods from markets not found on the west coast (where I live)
🔸not all breads have the option to add by slice rather than serving. Other serving sizes don’t reflect the carb count being tracked accurately
🔸list total carbs first and net carbs second (as a diabetic tracking carbs we don’t track by net carbs but by total carbs- less deceiving because total carbs affect insulin doses)
🔸consider hooking into the Dex-com app to transfer your tracking system into the DexCom events app for carb management
ABOCGirl,
It’s the simplest carb tracker ♥️
I’m borderline diabetic and estrogen is too high. So while looking for carb counter to help me keep this in range I came across CarbsToGo.
It’s great but don’t see how I can register on the app and sync with Health app on my iPhone to send to my doctor or nutritionist. Is this a feature that will be added?
Annie307,
It could be great if it worked all the time
This is actually the easiest app I have found to keep a check on my carbs. My doctor told me not to go over 80 carbs a day, and I was lost because I had never had to track carbs, and this app has been a life saver. The major problem is that it will just stop working, and it won’t retain the history. When it works, I couldn’t asked for anything any easier to use, but when it doesn’t, I am
Left dangling on what to do. I have tried other apps, but they are too complex for a beginner carb tracker - This would be worth paying for - if it would work most of the time

App doesn’t work or refresh
The app worked at first and I thought I was great. But the second day, it wouldn’t refresh the day until about noon. It eventually did and I started adding food for that day. But it didn’t work for long. As I continued to add, it said everything was successfully tracked but nothing updated on the dashboard. This started at about 6 last night and the dashboard is still showing what I ate up until 6 pm yesterday. Nothing after that. It also doesn’t show my history anymore. Needless to say, this app is useless if it doesn’t work…
trying to live to 100,
You can’t delete items in your dashboard and latest update removed the add your own item feature.
I make mistakes a lot and it’s frustrating that I can’t remove an item once I’ve logged it.

Updated: Apparently, you can delete items in history once that day has passed, according to the response to this initial review that I received from the developer. (Which doesn’t make sense.)

In addition, you can no longer add your own items after the latest update. I have deleted the app entirely. Too bad - it was the only one I’ve found that allows you to track carbs exclusively. Would have been so great for me but hopefully it will work for others.
Geppettowoman,
Search Has Issues
I really like this app, BUT the search function has issues. Try searching for whipping cream. You’ll get either nothing or unrelated items. I like to pre-plan my meals, but I don’t always have the item there to scan. And the double posting when adding eggs drives me mad. Most used items should be the easiest to log, not the most difficult! I hope it’s just a bug that can be corrected in the next update and I don’t have to go find another app.

I was very excited about this app and started using it two days ago. All of my data disappeared today and the app is not appearing as it did the first day I used it. I deleted the app and started over and it’s just not computing properly, not tracking properly, data disappearing, etc. Needless to say it’s extremely frustrating and I deleted the app. I agree with the reviewer of eight months ago. But it works it’s a great app but it’s not worth the hassle and frustration I’ve lost data.
LanaMM,
What is a serving?
It's a pain in the behind to have to first search for foods and add them to your book just so you can start tracking them. And when I do track them it doesn't tell me how much a serving is. When I search online there is a tiny note on serving but it doesn't carry over when I add it. Am I supposed to remember all these serving sizes? Maybe the creators doesn't actually count carbs? If they did they'd have recognized this and immediately fixed it.

Keeps me on track!
Outstanding application for following your carbs specially if you’re diabetic easy to use no Mas no fuss and as compared to other information I’ve gathered on the same food its spot on! I highly recommend this application no cost no hidden fees no surprises.
ak2380,
Just OK
It’s a nice simple app for tracking carbs only. That being said, it’s a little too simple. There doesn’t seem to be a way to delete entries into the food book or from the daily log. The only options are to add an additional entry (which only works for the food book and just ends up bogging it down with entries that won’t be used) or delete the app and reinstall. It’s a little frustrating.
