KG4ZOW,
Harassing me for a review
My original review was only three stars, because the app was harassing me to leave a review. I don't know if the app is able to somehow *tell* if I've left a review or not, but it's been over a year and I haven't been asked to leave a review since then. I'm raising my review from three to FIVE starts because, during the time since I wrote the review, Apple started forcing developers to share what kinds of information the app collects, and (at least according to the developer) this app doesn't collect ANY inforamation at all. In addition, I've been using the 1Blocker firewall (which blocks apps from being able to connect to certain domains, such as analytics and tracking services) and this firewall doesn't report any attempts to connect to such services while I've been using this app. To the developer: THANK YOU for respecting peoples' privacy, by not trying to collect any data yourself, AND by not using any third-party frameworks which collect data without your knowledge.
CokeSlogan,
Hours of entertainment, but no multiplayer
This collection of card games is the most exhaustive of any app I've seen. It contains almost every card game I've ever played and many I'd never heard of. I purchased it specifically for Canasta, but have played some of the other games as well. Many are solitaire variants and others are multiplayer, but unfortunately you can only play against the AI. In some of the multiplayer games, like Canasta and Gin Rummy, the AI is relatively easy to beat, and they are only 2-player versions. Sheepshead on the other hand is a very challenging 3-player game. It would be nice to be able to adjust the difficulty of the AI and the number of players; even better to be able to play against other humans.

The app is strongest in the Solitaire department, but could be improved in quality and variety in the trick-taking and rummy type games. Contract Bridge is notably absent. Overall the poker games are disappointing, and I would not recommend it as a poker app.

All things considered, it's hours of entertainment for not very much money, and has many games you won't find anywhere else. The interface is solid overall and it has never been buggy or crashed for me.
Chimfish,
Excellent
This is really the best game app I’ve ever downloaded. I play this every day and I’ve still only scratched the surface of all the games available in the large collection. I have found a couple small bugs while playing, but they’re the type that you have to purposefully do something kind of weird in order to cause and therefore easy to avoid normally.

This is an essential app for anyone who likes card games, and, considering the number of different games that are included, very likely the best valued app in the entire app store.

Edit: One unavoidable bug I’ve found is that I’ll sometimes be dealt one or two extra cards in Crazy Eights. This puts me at an obvious disadvantage at being able to discard all my cards before the computer players who were each dealt the standard five cards, and the only solution is to quit and start a new game. I wasn’t in the habit of counting my cards because I assumed I was always getting a fair deal, but it turns out that I was often playing with an extra-card handicap.
...?...??,
I'M PICKY, AND I LOVE IT!!!
Not only do they have like a gazillion games, but they have your rules, the neighbors rules, your weird friend Fred's rules, and then the history of all the rules (which you can skip if that's not your thing), and the rules they have chosen to play by, which are usually a conglomerate of the best of all the rules , picked and chosen to make the game Easier to learn, fun to play, and causes less arguments. I originally downloaded this game package only because I couldn't find canasta anywhere else. Then I started playing around with some of the other games, and I fell in love with it! Writing reviews are not my thing, but this App deserves it. I play mostly against the CPU and it learns your style, just as a steady playing partner would. He's getting harder and harder to beat.
( it's getting pretty scary how close we are getting to a true A.I. I'm not so sure there isn't one already living in my computer,)
marble lover,
Lots Of Games
I’m updating my review. I’ve had this collection of card games for years. With every IOS upgrade I love it more. I have bought stand alone card games like Hearts and Spades. When the IOS updates, the developer abandons the game. It no longer works and I have lost my money. Now I’ve learned to check my Card Shark game, because those games are included there. While other developers have abandoned their games, Card Shark has added new card games to play. I just wanted to express my appreciation for your hard work and wonderful fun app.

Lots of good games. All work well. They add new games with updates. A good value. I’ve had this app for a few years now and it is still one of my favorites. The number of games is exhaustive. Each game works flawlessly. I keep going back and discovering new fun games. It is by far the best value for the money of all the apps I have. Thanks for the continual updates.
TahoeDon,
Great “go to” time killer!
This is my most used app by far. There are so many games to try and such a variety of times to play them. Some take just a minute or two, some much longer. Some are strictly solitaire and others simulate opponents to practice with multiple player games. The only issue issue is with the latest update. Previously the motion of the cards when dealt or played was very graphic and realistic but with the last update the motion became jerky, unrealistic and hard to tell where the cards were going to or coming from. They would sometimes just appear and sometimes all at once leaving to guess “who” had played them. A quick fix and reversion to the old motion would garner an enthusiastic 5 stars.
Jake Lonergan,
Good for a couple of years
Depending on how much you play this game is only good for a couple of years. They are a terrific couple of years, and that’s why I gave it three stars, but then the game falls apart.

For quite a while now the game has been doing funny things regarding shuffling. The most repeatable aspect is having the same card turn up on consecutive flips of the pile; you turn over 3 of clubs, 3 of clubs, for instance. The first few times I figured “random chance” but it quickly reached the point where this happened every game. In the last week the there have now been TWO sets of consecutive cards in every deck and in two of the last three games I played they have come back-to-back (5 of clubs, 5 of clubs, 5 of spades, 5 of spades flipped over, actual example).

There are some other things going on that can’t be attributed to chance but this one is the most noticeable. The game can still be fun but you do feel like it’s being manipulated. To be honest, I keep playing just to see how bad it gets. Is the shuffling algorithm deteriorating? Have I run out of prerecorded deck shuffles? I don’t know how the game is written so I can’t say but I tried deleting the game last week and then downloading it again and, as recorded above, the game just got worse.

So, fun while it lasted. Maybe I can find another game or maybe Rick Holtzgraf will fulfill my dream and rewrite Solitaire ‘Til Dawn for iOS. Oh, well.
SandySadSak,
Variety
I play this app on a daily basis. It has a great variety of games. I used to play cards as a kid and forgot how to play many of them. This app has them! It has never crashed on me. The only time I encountered a minor issue was when the cards were being displayed in a long line. I was using my tablet sideways/ landscape mode, so the long line of cards couldn't fit on the screen. The cards shrunk to accommodate the screen but then disappeared. Once I turned the screen on end / portrait mode, the cards came back, no problem.

The only thing I am disappointed about is on an earlier version of the app, there was a game I really liked ( I don't remember the name), when the app was updated, that game wasn't there. I was bummed. There are still plenty of other games within this app, though. I do love it. I just wish I could remember the name of that game so I can request they bring it back.
Grammaberg,
Two thumbs up and 4 3/4 stars
Love for several reasons: widest variety of games is one app; the cost is reasonable (which is why I was willing to risk the investment); no ads - a major plus; nice, clear graphics; overall smooth play so far with one exception - rummy says to lay down the cards I want to play but will not allow more than one group of cards to be played by the player even though the computer can lay down as many groupings in one turn as it wants to play. I will wait to play Rummy until the glitch is fixed. But there are so many other games to choose from that I don’t mind not playing Rummy for the short time I expect it will take to fix it in the next update.
One improvement I would like to see is the availability of hints. I find that a good way to learn new games faster and better.
All in all I would give this app two thumbs up and 4 3/4 stars.
JCWeasley,
Yikes!
I will not give this game the five stars it otherwise deserves for the following reason. If your finger lingers too long on the back arrow, it will redeal your game and you'll have to start all over at the beginning! Frustrating as the devil! This is a useless feature. You can always select “Restart” from the game menu. I have no idea why they thought this was a good idea.

This is the best solitaire I've found so far. Deals quickly without useless animations, cards are standard and therefore easy to read. Lots of games, most of the old favorites. Unlimited turnover of the base pile allows longer play and more opportunity to win some of the traditionally more difficult games, like 40 Thieves. And if you don’t think that’s challenging enough, you can always limit yourself to one or more turnovers.
