hbMagica,
Favorite chilling app
This was one if the first apps I put on my iPhone back in the 2G days, so it’s a little near n dear to my app ❤️ It's my favorite go to app to pass time or just chill waiting at the Drs office, at airport. I just wish they would add more games. Nice and simple like playing with an actual deck of cards. 2nd time rating: Still my favorite solitaire app, simple no gimmicky with gophers running across the bottom while your trying to play, etc. I've downloaded others and delete them! I also love that you haven't changed the format. I'd still love to see more solitaire games added though like kings corners Russian or Chinese solitaire. I do know you have a paid app, I just wish you could throw a bone or two to the lite version. Thanks for Keep'n it's simple for this devoted app user is the way to go! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mamahero,
Re-writing a review
I have been playing this version of solitaire games for many years. Changes have occasionally been made in the way cards moved or in the way the board appeared. I’m happy to say that the not-so-great changes have been fixed, and the games are—-after all these years—-working well and looking great. I never tire of playing! In my opinion, thus represents the VERY BEST solitaire games of all the MANY from which one can choose!
Jake Lonergan,
Fun for a couple of years
Depending on how much you play this game is only good for a couple of years. They are a terrific couple of years, and that’s why I gave it three stars, but then the game falls apart.

For quite a while now the game has been doing funny things regarding shuffling. The most repeatable aspect is having the same card turn up on consecutive flips of the pile; you turn over 3 of clubs, 3 of clubs, for instance. The first few times I figured “random chance” but it quickly reached the point where this happened every game. In the last week the there have now been TWO sets of consecutive cards in every deck and in two of the last three games I played they have come back-to-back (5 of clubs, 5 of clubs, 5 of spades, 5 of spades flipped over, actual example).

There are some other things going on that can’t be attributed to chance but this one is the most noticeable. The game can still be fun but you do feel like it’s being manipulated. To be honest, I keep playing just to see how bad it gets. Is the shuffling algorithm deteriorating? Have I run out of prerecorded deck shuffles? I don’t know how the game is written so I can’t say but I tried deleting the game last week and then downloading it again and, as recorded above, the game just got worse.

So, fun while it lasted. Maybe I can find another game or maybe Rick Holtzgraf will fulfill my dream and rewrite Solitaire ‘Til Dawn for iOS. Oh, well.
(Mercyles),
Great app that has always worked
Writing this after their newest update. I’ve played this for maybe 6 years. The app has always worked through each iOS update and each change of device/phone. It has always been smooth and good at what it does. With the be sweet update giving a few qol things for the newer devices it has also brought a bug or two. I have had it display the wrong starter card compared to what I actually start the piles with but that’s minor and not a big deal. Glad to see the devs are still working on this app even with the new apple update policies. Great app, easy to spend hours in. If you like solitaire games get this app no questions asked. No ads, it works, and it’s fun
Triviajim,
Hate the new update
I wonder if the developers actually read these reviews. Until last week’s update, seemingly everybody loved this app. I did, too. Since the updates, there have been nothing but complaints.

My chief complaint is that an errant touch near the top or bottom of the screen, especially in Spider, now resets the timer. Since I challenge myself to see how fast I can complete a game, this ruins the experience. I can rarely finish a game without accidentally resetting it a couple times, even when I’m careful. PLEASE FIX THIS. My love affair for years with this game is coming to an end.

I understand the need for upgrades to work with new phones and systems, and security issues, but hate when those upgrades change something just for the sake of change.
drjonnt,
Several problems in otherwise super app
1. It doesn’t recognize that I bought the paid version. It is the first time I cannot leave a review explaining these problems in the App Store. I must definitely have downloaded and paid for the full version.
2. Since months, the app freezes during play. The only way to get it to work again is to pull down its unique notification center. I am not kidding—once I do this a couple of times I can start to move the cards again. Otherwise frozen. I’ve written several message to the developer with no response. Pretty irritating when you’re playing cards and chilling.

Otherwise tons of games, more than I could ever play, and really nice play action if this freezing world just stop!
Laura+Sadie,
Hate the latest upgrade (version 10.0)
This latest upgrade needs technical help. In games which require two players, (eg “Speed” and Spite and Malice), the “computer player” does not respond until I tap the deck. I have to tap the deck repeatedly until “he” is out of moves. Very annoying. When playing “Speed”, the computer opponent often lays down two cards at once, (eg 5,6 or 6,5, or any two cards with similar pattern), making it impossible for me to try to play the next card.
Please fix these annoying details.
ffkarle,
It’s better since the latest update
Most of the issues that was vexing has been addressed in last update. There’s still some shrinking and growing of the cards on the working stacks as cards are added or subtracted. The good thing is it’s not as jarring to the eyes as it was several weeks back. The way to fix some of that through the options menu should be better documented. The game has improved overall and is more playable on my iPhone 8 Plus than it was several weeks ago.
Q of H's,
Love the variety of games and levels
After years of playing Forty Thieves, I discovered Card Shark. I really like the 3 levels of Spider this app offers and I’m learning new games I had never heard of. I especially like Canfield and Beleaguered. I haven’t tried Klondike yet, but plan to attack that soon, if I can ever make myself stop playing Canfield. Great games and a great way to spend time making my mind think. I recommend Card Shark for all who love playing solitaire.
Slevitoo,
Still the best
If you enjoy playing Solitaire, this is a great app with a variety of games. It is totally free and doesn’t collect any of your data. I have used it for many years and never had a glitch or problem of any kind. Best of its kind. They recently added a new deluxe version with more games for $2.99. I bought it partly just out of appreciation for the ten or more years I have used the free version every day.
