Description

Cardiogram is a heart rate monitor and symptom tracker that helps you detect and manage chronic health conditions. See minute-by-minute heart rate information collected by your smartwatch, not just a summary. Set customized heart rate alerts for high and low readings. Use interactive, color-coded charts (with pinch-to-zoom) of your heart rate data, step counts, time-stamped symptoms, and medication.

Search your symptom history to make connections between your symptoms, triggers, medications, how you're feeling, and your heart rate information. Get weekly risk scores for hypertension, sleep apnea, and diabetes.

By connecting Apple Health, Cardiogram will pull in ECG and Blood Pressure readings to have a comprehensive report of your symptoms and readings to share with your doctor. You can also connect a family member to your account so they can see your data.

We take your privacy seriously. We use healthcare-grade encryption and we don't sell your data.

ECG AND BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS
Cardiogram receives ECG and blood pressure readings through the Apple Health app.
• If you take an ECG reading using your Apple watch, you can see the results directly within the Cardiogram app and it will be included with your doctor report.

• Scores are generated by our clinically validated AI algorithm using factors such as age, sex, height/weight, and metrics collected from your smart watch.

Sara3bey,
Overdue Updated Review, Excellent HR Tracking!
I love this app, and rely on it to monitor my HR spikes and symptoms. I am also thrilled to find that the widget has dark mode, and it is now across the top of my phone screen, so I won’t have to keep checking the app. For patients discovering they have OI after COVID/ etc, my tip is to keep the HR monitor as a complication on your Apple Watch, every time you are about to stand up, change from laying to sitting, lean forward for laundry/ shoes, etc, run the HR tracker on the watch and go about your business (you may have to restart a few times or adjust your settings). If/ when you feel super woozy, check Cardiogram (which will have everything there in color from the watch recording). Often I find a super high HR spike, which left me feeling weak, woozy, short of breath, depending on the day! I also take screenshots and mark them up for my Drs & PTs, so we can work towards eliminating those behaviors that caused the spikes for some autonomic retraining etc :) wishing health and happiness for all.
Cathydsrna,
Premium has a serious glitch(s)
The big advantage of the premium cardiogram app subscription is the ability of the app to alert you to elevated heart rate and low heart rates that could be indicative of a heart problem. You adjust the settings for high and low bpm. The default high heart rate setting is 129 beats per minute. The problem I have encountered numerous times since I started my subscription is that I get high heart rate notifications from cardiogram while I am working out in cardio sessions. These alerts come even though I have opened and am using my exercise app on Apple Watch 4 which syncs to cardiogram. Cardiogram app recognizes that I am in a workout as when I finish my workout by selecting end workout I get a nice workout display on the cardiogram app. I shouldn’t be receiving high heart rate alerts during a workout as I am trying to reach my target heart rate which is almost 150 bpm. Cardiogram premium should have different high heart rate alert settings: one for during workouts which for me might be 160 bpm and another for when I am not exercising which would be a lot lower. I agree I can change the settings before and after each exercise period but who will remember to do this and for the price of this app this should have been thought through.
Also at first I believed the premium app said they would respond to comments submitted thru the app in 24 hours. Now it says 4 business days. I sent an inquiry almost a week ago and have not had a response.
Swetiepeti,
Isuues and no help
So I had issues. Like I asked for them NOT to use my main EMAIL as I really don’t like the idea of what if they get hacked into like yahoo and others? I’d rather they used my throwaway Facebook account for me to use as a sign in and them to know my FB password as I really don’t care so much about it as I do my email account. I’ve emailed about it more than once and no one bothered to email back.
I had issues with my graphs not populating.... except for the Steps. But I have a Fitbit so that’s redundant. The main thing I wanted it for was to watch my heart and so far, it’s done a spectacularly crappy job at that. It doesn’t tell me a rhythm, only a high, doesn’t tell me a low. I’m trying to see what value it has OVER the HealthKit heart rate
I finally uninstalled it. Thanks for nothing guys. You were singularly unhelpful.

Update: Cardiogram support eventually got back to me and they reset my account. For those who have yet to open a Cardiogram account here is my advice. Make a throwaway email account to attach it to. Because they were nosy post on other formats. What business is it of theirs who my “friends” are? Oh and they’ll “ask permission before they post on your account”. Uh, I don’t want to take the time to say no. So upgrading from a 1 although I’m not sure how much more helpful it is than HealthKit truly. I have yet to see a aha moment
Momtocats,
Back in Business!
My previous review was “Very Disappointed” because of issues noted below. I’m happy to report that the data issues I had with the app have been resolved and the app is again monitoring my heart rate. I depend on the Cardiogram app as it gives me data that is critical in managing my Afib. I even showed results to my Cardiologist and medication was altered accordingly. Thank you!
Further to my earlier Review (see below), now the message indicates they’ve been adding capacity all weekend and their systems are processing my data. All weekend? And, still no updates! I worked in technology and if our end users experienced these issues, for this length of time, heads would have rolled! Previous Review: I’m still waiting for updates. Using the latest version and everything was fine until this week. Data doesn’t update. Message says to reload, which I did several times, deleted the app and downloaded again. Worked a few hours, then stopped collecting data again. As refreshing and reloading didn’t work, I emailed the address indicated. Email was returned as undeliverable. Prior to these issues and frustration, I would have given Cardiogram five stars because it had worked so well and gave me data that I took to my Cardiologist.
Jackiesdiabeticlifeaftercovid,
My diabetic life
I am a nurse and a very healthy person that contracted Covid 19 at work. I did not know that I had the virus except for the fact that my vision was different and I was urinating more frequently. These changes occurred over a one month period so I didn’t think much about it. When I did go to the doctor I was told that I was positive for the virus and that my blood glucose was 455. I didn’t feel sick no fever or cold like symptoms, just elevated blood glucose.. I stayed in the ICU room for about 2 days and then I went to a regular room…I was given insulin around the clock to return my glucose to a safe range, 250 before I was released…..Then my journey began, I am now diabetic…eating healthy, drinking more water, and most importantly, walking daily… I couldn’t have lost 49 pounds and monitored my vitals signs, and made all the necessary changes without the information provided to me by this app. It is my first line of defense, knowing. Knowing my numbers, heart rate, and being able to target my goals.. yes it is a great app.
Emma’s Mom,
Love it!!
My husband had purchased this app & had been using it for a few months after he suffered a PE. He recovered well, but wanted to have a way to analyze the data from his Apple Watch in order to monitor his heart health. Well, a few days ago, his tooth became infected which resulted in a root canal, then the next morning he felt horrid, he opened the app to see that his resting BPM was 178 and he hadn’t done anything. his heart was in AFIB, so I called the nurse practitioner on the back of our health card who directed him to go to ER Immediately! Sure enough his heart was in AFIB and they took care of him there. It was a scary situation, but glad we had the app to clearly display his heart activity, and now takes his heart health more seriously. When you can actually see what your heart is doing, it makes you want to implement healthier lifestyle choices. I also like that the app lets you share your information with anyone you choose. You can printed it out for your doctor also.
Roadjockey,
What a joke another chachki app !!
Like all good things sooner or later greed will step in and ruin a good thing.I’ve been with you since the beginning but now I see your true colors and unethical practices. What was about the people is now about greed !! in the beginning there were no subscriptions and getting Apple watches to sync with your servers deemed to be difficult. Back then there was annual fee to be able to share information with your doctor or a family but it never worked as intended. Now there is a subscription how convenient but the biggest joke is ( Health Score ) and ( Risk Level )It’s amazing, truly amazing how my health score is worse than
“ average “ but after I PAY $$ my health score rockets into the green and shows a big happy 😃 face of course it does another sucker landed !!! After you PAY $$ “ Risk lvl “ miraculously changes from bad to below average amazing !!Any sucker that believes that this is how you motivate people by belittling them and making them believe that their health is that risk is a disgusting practice all for the benefit of the greed !!! Now I’m going to do what I should’ve done a long time ago pull the plug and never recommend this app to anybody what a joke !!!
rusty337,
Urgent
It is a great app it does show me my heart rate but to go back or measure continuously once it closes I have to re-login in order for it to retake all my statistics it doesn’t compare to anything else so basically I have to close it all down and then re-open to see what my heart rate is again if it shuts down by itself that’s what I have to do I don’t understand why it’s so hard to see average or or consistency or to see my heart rate in present moment once it closes. So like now medically I’m under a little distress my heart rate is beyond 140 a minute but I have to keep logging out of my watch and read back in for it tell me that that’s why areas I think you would be beneficial to have a button somewhere in touch to bring back my past results compare them to know it’s a great app you guys are awesome you’re working really hard on this I can tell anyway that would be very helpful thank you,
Rusty Randolph
J.L. Wheeler,
I, hands down, love this app!
I have a venous cardio vascular disease that I’ve battled with my whole life, so keeping an eye on my spikes in heart rate is crucial. By tracking my heart rate allows me to know where I need to make modifications and what works for me, verses what doesn’t work for me. This app has a great feature that allows notes to be added, step by step of what I was feeling at the time of the spikes, what I was doing ani can even add in extra notes and it’s amazing! It allows me to have accurate discussions with my doctor and prepare for my next step. Whether that be that I need to change my diet and activity, or if it’s just time for another round of sclerotherapy. I cannot express how grateful I am for this wonderful -well put together- life saver. Thank you, truly. If you’re thinking about downloading this app, you should’ve considered it yesterday.
FestusLunn,
Tell me another joke!
This has to be one of the worse apps there is. I paid good money for the premium app. It works when it might want to work. Constantly get “network error 0”. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my network, period, so it has to be on their end! I have over 700 apps on my iPhone, and this app is the only one that causes any problem! Also can’t load data “reload”. That does not work either. Have totally removed app and reinstalled app several times. Does not solve either issue. Please, do not waste your money on this junk app! EDIT: Tech support is absolutely terrible! You can submit a teck support request and they will respond once. They don't fix the problem and they don't respond to further support. Please don't get sucked in to paying for premium service, you will be disappointed!

EDIT: I was finally reached out to by support and they completely removed my issues. Good job. Thankx
