This upgraded release introduces offline chalk scanning, new characters, and optimization to improve the overall experience.
In this version, chalk scanning is now fully offline. This means that you will be able to scan the chalk without the need for an internet connection. In addition, the scanning has been improved and can now more accurately scan your chalk drawings.
New characters have been added! Do check out the Chalk Alive website for more details.
Optimization of the experience has been developed to help support a wide range of characters. As such, the experience now supports a total of 20 scannable and playable characters!
Do take note of the outstanding issues that might affect your initial upgrade to Version 2.0:
Existing scanned chalk data may be reset. As such please do scan the chalk again!
Loading optimization is still pending, as such, initial loading times for play mode can take between 5 - 10 seconds to load.
Video recording has a bug where it takes 5 - 10 seconds to start. We will be fixing this in the next update.

You can only play with it if you have like the box and the app and have to be in a like a soft surface like a smooth here surface with nothing around it or Aunt I mean on it and it won’t let me play it so bad

You can drive the car
It turns the car into a digital controllable car and despite the scanning issues we had a lot of fun playing with the chalk and app. Needs work but has a lot of potential.

Fun, once you get it to work
I got this app thinking it would be an easy and fun thing to do while you’re bored. It was! It took a while to set up but it did work!

Cool idea but failed to deliver
Bought the alien, robot, psychedelic bear set but only a car and dolphin show up when scanning. Neat concept if developers can iron out the kinks.

This app doesn’t work at all. We bought 6 stencils and the app only shows 1 race car at all times. No matter what it can’t pick up what was drawn. Absolutely terrible and a waste of money!

No matter what we draw we get the race car. It’s also a massive app that still takes forever to load just to do a lame car game

No matter what picture we draw when we scan it only shows us a car. Excitement lasted about 5 mins.

We bought the unicorn, sea shell, and butterfly set and could only get a race car to show up when we scanned them.
