Chef Wars is the first food discovery RPG! Recruit chefs, source ingredients, and invent hundreds of recipes from around the world. Then use those recipes to win themed kitchen battles! Become the most famous chef and stop the evil Baron von Pork from world domination!

DEVELOPER'S NOTES:
- Chef Wars is free to play with optional in-app purchases. Purchases are NOT needed to finish the game!
- You also don't need to register an account and go online to play, but doing so gives access to friend rankings, global leaderboards, and access to your in-app purchases like premium chefs and skins.
- As of initial release, we have a huge world map covering Europe and Asia! We hope to add more features, regions, chefs and recipes over time!
- The game is only available in English right now, but we plan to add more translations in the future.

Good game! Have some tips...

I NEVER write reviews for games, but I felt the need to say this. This game is obviously well thought out and has a lot of work put into it. You are playing but your also learning. I love it! But there are somethings that bother me as I play and I wish to point them out. There should be a way to "flag" towns and cities you want to visit later, and then they would show up on the fast travel tag. This would help a lot because I find myself getting lost and wanting to get back to a certain town, but with a loss of how to. Also maybe a better mini map? If you do the first thing I suggest I won't have such a need for it but maybe something you want to do. Also this is probably my biggest complaint, tapping at the market over and over to get something you want is so ANNOYING. So instead there should be a button that you pay for and it automatically does 10 pulls from the market, and you open everything at once. I really hope you read this because it's a good game I want to keep playing it's just these certain things really get at me and make it difficult to play.

GREAT game; desperately needs an update

I love this game, however, recently it has been “unable to connect to the internet”. I cannot access my save data or buy any gems for the game. The game is entirely still playable in offline mode, however, if you want to experience a really fun game. I do love this game and am okay playing it offline. The internet bug, however, should be addressed if you are interested in playing this game.

That being said, your save data will be saved locally, but if you ever delete the app, you can’t get it back, and that a few heroes, costumes, or other things, are locked behind a paywall that is not accessible.

I still highly recommend this title. I hope that someday they update this game and give it new recipes, features, and most importantly, reinstate the games connection.

For the inner foodie in you...

Are you looking for a casual game that requires no thinking and just blind tapping? Are you looking for a game that teaches you nothing at all? Are you into those games that makes you invite your friends so you can get to the next level? Well, if you answers yes to any of these questions above, then you can stop and go download something else... This is a game that will consume your mind and teach you a thing or two (or 900) about food. Not only will you see some familiar dishes and ingredients, but you will also learn so much more about food that you don’t already know - origins, genres, and geographies... yes.. knowing where cities are (think global) will actually help you navigate the game... now you must be regretting not paying attention in your 9th grade social studies class... anyways, stop wasting time reading meaningless reviews here, and just go download this game... try it once, you will like it, if you don’t, try it twice... give it some time and you will be hooked in no time!

This game is PERFECT

I’m an avid gamer and have recently been addicted to mobile gaming but I can not stand the “pay-to-win” or “wait-for-energy” types that ultimately force you to watch ads just to get into the real game content. Trust me, I’ve gone through possibly 100+ games since the iPhone came out and Chef Wars has been my absolute favorite. I literally haven’t stopped playing since I downloaded it weeks ago. Honestly, even though the game is free, I would have gladly paid for it.

Overall, the game mechanics are simple and easy to approach but the battles are a challenge to master. Hundreds of recipes and ingredients to collect gives you plenty to do even after you complete the main storyline. Not to mention the additional characters that you meet along the way which have their own adventures. Dear GOD the Art is painfully cute and with well executed animations (who knew you could do so much with 2D!?) Trophies to win and a social leaderboard satisfies my competitive nature. And as someone who used to develop games, I greatly appreciate how little the lag time is when switching between apps or how I can ALWAYS resume where I left off no matter how long my phone has been idle or what interrupted it.

Gold stars all day! Bravo. Thank you Mind Cake Games for restoring my faith in mobile gaming.

Fun, but some problems...

This game has had me addicted for the past week, and I must say it is quite a fun game. Of course, there are a few minor issues. One thing is that I wish that the chefs available for gems were also obtainable in a location, such as the Russian general, who is only available with gems although he should be in Moscow. Also, the game has been crashing for me recently. It can be infuriating because it always happens after I win a battle. Finally, I'm not sure if it makes sense for there to only be staples in cities. If anything there would be more rare ingredients. But other than that it is a good game, and you clearly care more about your players than most games do, this is the only game I've seen that has the developers actually responding instead of using an automated response. Thanks for your time.

Increase Recipe Capacity and Chefs

I just wanted to say I have been obsessed with the game! I really enjoy grinding to unlock all the characters and recipes. The only downside for me is that I paid to unlock Tubs only to find out later that I can’t recruit him because the limit is 10 chefs. I think it would be really cool if the game would increase its chef capacity so that we can pull up the chefs instead of recruiting them and then dismissing them and then having to find them and recruit them again which is a hassle. Also if you could increase the recipe capacity that would really make the game more convenient and easier to pull up recipes for the tags I need. Overall, I really enjoy the game and I can’t wait to unlock all the recipes. Thank you!

AWESOME!!!

This game is fantastic!!! I love how there are so much dishes and recipes to choose from with the ability to explore! It's mostly luck to get the right stuff you need specially rare ones, but nonetheless, the game is a breath of fresh air. It has so much color and the game is funny too! I love the comments of the judges 😂💕 and the storyline got me hooked! I even had my boyfriend download it so we can test out our luck in ingredient hunting and beat baron! 😂 i love this game so much! I wish there's another way to get chef recipe slots though and if there could be an option for the minimap to be able to scroll to check out nearby areas or where you are coz it's easy to get lost when you're roaming around 😅 But other than that it's super good! great job to the team! :) more power to you guys! 🍕

Amazing customer service

I love his game! It’s my favorite app game. Very unique and interesting but since the last update I’ve been having a problem! Every time I exit a match whether I’ve won or lost the game will stop responding. I can’t move around on the map and I can push the buttons (they move when I’ve touched them) but they don’t do anything. They won’t open my chefs page or options or anything. Please help, it happens constantly and is making the game unplayable because I have to close and open the game each time. (I’ve tried waiting it never works)

I contacted them through email about the issue and they got back to me within two hours! Very helpful and dedicated to their customers!

Love this game!

Ok, I just want to start off by saying I LOVE this game so much! It’s awesome and I’m never bored with it! It is a really great way to waste some time, and I find that even if I run out of money I can still play. Also, it’s not necessary to buy stuff like in other games. I only have one complaint. I can’t seem to pass the showdown at Puerto Del Sol. I have played this round so many times and I have the same dish as Micheal St. Micheal, but every time he gets two 10s and a 5 and every time I get two 10s and a 3. I’m not sure how to pass this level. I’ve also tried other foods and nothing works. Other than that I absolutely love this game and recommend it for everyone. (Edit: I was able to pass the level by upgrading my meal!)

Great game

I love this game - such an original concept! The only thing that is stopping me from leaving five stars is that it crashes very often after a boss battle, preview battle, or mission. I'll win the battle and then it crashes from the loading screen. It gets to be upsetting when it happens almost every time, especially if I've finally beat the boss or finally won a common ingredient instead of a staple. I know you're looking to fix this in the next update - just adding my voice. Thank you for developing this game!

ETA: Changed to five stars! Your update, along with me downloading the most recent iOS, has made this a game I can play for hours without fear of crashing!
