Great game
I am a novice at best. I just beat level 3 and that was challenging for me. I doubt that I will ever get above level 5, but I’m certainly going to try. I’m 59 now and I haven’t played much chess since college even though I still enjoy the game. However, I need to do something to keep my mind sharp because my family has a history of dementia and I’ve already seen signs of it in me. So playing this fun and challenging game just might keep me out of a nursing home.

I can’t believe I’m the only person saying this
I’m a beginner at chess and I was shocked to see how simple it is the problem is but like any other chess game app where it’s so obvious that the person you’re playing against is a bot. The issue that during the beginning you’re rightfully given the option to move and beat the “player” but then towards the end when I’m literally about to win I’m not able to. All can do is just move my checks around meanwhile this bot player can do whatever it wants and if that’s not happening time runs out and you get a pop up talking about how interesting the game was and the choice to start over which is why this isn’t for me. I’m not sure if these other reviews are fake and I wouldn’t be surprised if they all are they are mentioning the screwed “difficulty” like it’s a good thing when there’s a difference between making the game slightly difficult so you would wanna keep playing and just plain cheating the players, players should be allowed to win so don’t bother playing this on your phone where you will more than likely be competing with a robot.

This game doesn’t know what a draw is. According to the game, a draw means the king has to move to an inconvenient spot. Not a suicide spot that would immediately result in a win for me, but a move that would trap the king.
This was the set up: white king G4, white queen E6, black pawn F6, Black King G6. I was white in this match. Black moved back and forth from G6 to G7 while my queen moved from E6 to F5. White queen on F5, Black king on G6 could have also moved to H6 as well as what he’s been doing, G7. While queen is on G6 and black king is on G7, black king instead of moving forward to G6 could also move to F8 or H8, both of which are inconvenient, but not a checkmate.
It has also counted a draw as not wanting to make an attack move. Situation, both sides have a set up, no one has lost any pieces. I move a non important for the moment piece back and forth and the computer, not wanting to make the first move on me, does likewise until it declares a draw. That’s not a draw. It’s the computer’s fault that it let me have a great defensive set up to begin with.

The “puzzles” are stupid
Got this because i wanted to try the puzzles which are included. I’m not a particularly good chess player, but the first few were so easy it was ridiculous. Tried to skip to a higher level, but it makes you complete the previous puzzles first. So I’ve now played a few hundred and they’re still too easy to be interesting. Also, when there’s more than one winning move (which happens fairly often), you have to guess which one the game is expecting. If you get to checkmate a different way, the game tells you you’re wrong and makes you start over until you guess which move is the “right” one.

I had try so many chess games but this one is the best one i had ever try it gives you the opportunity to go back in a move so you can fix your bad moves same time learn your mistakes awesome game I recommend it to everyone only thing I don’t like is the adds very annoying

Good game with 1 problem
I never write reviews, but this app would be perfect except one major problem. The game works great with no lag and offers several levels of chess to play at. Regardless if your a beginner or avid chess player there is a level for you to be challenged at. However, the game constantly says stalemate and ends the game as a draw despite there being many opportunities for the game to be won by either the player or computer. It’s this glitch in the game that has lead me to delete the game entirely.

Developers Need to add a stalemate off switch !
The title says it all, there are games that I’m close to winning and the game registers it as a stalemate, even though there are/is a way to win the game ! It’s bullsh!t in reality, because then you are not able to unlock the next difficulty level without winning at least one game. I deleted the app, because the developers didn’t at least add a stalemate off switch, feels like the scum bag that got saved from their well deserved fate, God it’s annoying and so injustice.

I just love it
Best chess game so far, I recently downloaded a few chess games but this one is addictive. It has amazing puzzles, you can play in 2d or 3d. Against computer or a friend, and it has 10 different didiculty levels. I’m learning to play chess and so far this is my best tool at hand with me on my phone and iPad. Definitely 5 stars. I pay for adds free.

Stalemate Setting
I’ve played on multiple difficulties and have not been allowed to win due to the games stalemate settings which you cannot disable. After methodically removing all of the computers pieces and then going for the king the game will stop and say it’s a stalemate even tho I clearly will win within the next few moves. It’s very frustrating to play an entire game and finally have the win within reach to then be robbed at the last few moves due to this stalemate setting. I’ve played several games like this and still haven’t had a “win” only “draws” under the games statistics.

Stalemate!
While learning to play chess, most of my games end in a STALEMATE just before checkmate. Most of the games are very short in length (only a few minutes) and I don’t get the win. Very frustrating when you are trying to learn!! Also, the game should have some sort of feedback other than writing a review. There are multiple puzzles with more than one way to win.
