Take flight in 36 different missions set across 12 different locations. Master the controls of your speedy and agile helicopter as you take on missions in some of the deadliest terrain on the planet. Use your machine gun, missiles, and bombs to fight back against the enemy forces. Battle rocket-launcher wielding soldiers, anti-aircraft turrets, tanks, and even enemy choppers.

Get hands-on with advanced motion controls or play with a virtual stick to replicate an arcade feel. Dodge trees, weave through flocks of birds, and navigate mountains and canyons. Strafe across rooftops in cities packed with skyscrapers, while keeping an eye out for bases where you can repair your chopper and replenish your ammo. And if you're ready for a real challenge, you can choose between multiple difficulty settings to see if you have what it really takes to survive.

Still awesome after all these years

I played Chopper 1 and 2 back when they came out. They have beautiful graphics and and audio. I just picked up an iPad pro and out of nowhere it dawned on me that I forgot about this amazing game. I used to play it via the Apple TV and it was excellent. Tried it on my pro and holly cow! I came back to this game after 3 years and it still holds up. Don't listen to the reviews that say the game is to hard or glitchy. If your not a gamer don't play it and don't talk about how hard the game is cause it makes you sound stupid.

Was good for its time

I remember playing this game on my dad's iPad (and loving it) when it came out four years ago, so I decided it was worth the money to buy it for myself. However, I quickly found that the game isn't as good as I remember it to be.

The graphics are all right. Good for its time when it was released in 2010, but they could be much better.

The machine gun aiming mechanics are annoying. The gun overheats so you are encouraged to fire in controlled bursts. However, this is difficult as each time you remove your finger from the screen, the gun resets to its default position (pointing forward, where you'll never need it) so you'll need to start firing and acquire your target again while the gun is going off. The fact that you're constantly jerking your chopper back and forth to dodge the rockets doesn't help. Also, your finger will often obscure the target, which is incredibly frustrating.

The game hasn't been optimized for iPhone 5 or higher, so players with a 5 or 6 are forced to play on the narrowed screen.

Many of these issues could be fixed quite easily with a few changes to the game's mechanics, which would make it an awesome game. A new title (Chopper 3 I guess) would be great. But in its present state, the aforementioned issues make the game difficult to fully enjoy.

This gets tough I have put it down. A lot. Makes me mad. But somehow someway eventually I keep pulling the stupid Chopper out of harms way. I want to rate it three stars for the fustruation level but I can't. All I can say is have patience. Escorting the General I think it is don't have High Blood Pressure when you get to this point.

Update I have been through this game all the way at least 3 times before the update. Working my way through this time I noticed at times it is really choppy. Bricks and Mortar is the worst so far. Playable but I Actually held the phone at an angle and just pretty much prayed, ran and didn't look at the screen hard. I shut everything down I could even Cellular and 3 G. Didn't help. Shameful end to what was a 5 Star game.

Solid As It Gets....

What a game. Never played the original so I didn't really know what to expect. The visuals are really somethin. From one location to another the developers were flawless, I have never seen such crisp and engaging landscapes in a game before. So far as the game play goes it ties together beautifully. The whole game is seriously sick. Hope another one will be in the works, by far the best shooter I have had the pleasure of playing on my touch and that's saying alot cause I'm a habitual downloader of game app's.

Great game but needs some improvements

Like the game a lot but I have one major issue.
When the gun overheats you have to release the trigger then when you press down again gun has moved back to a default location and messes me up every time. Cant you just have the gun stay where you last put it please?!
Also I'm using a first gen iPad and when things get crazy in the game the video output begins to get very choppy and ultimately makes game play very difficult. Yes I quite all my apps before playing freeing up as much memory as possible and still it's glitchy. Not sure if that can get fixed. I'm sure later generation devices work fine.

Worth every penny! Tons of fun and amazing graphics

I purchased this game a while back and the support that the author gives this is simply incredible. Airplay wireless mirroring (via apple tv) was added and I just got an iPhone 4S, it plays flawlessly. It's gorgeous, words can't describe how awesome this game looks on a big screen tv. Easily looks like a very well done Xbox 360 live game. To top it off, music is top shelf material.

Please read

I bought this app hoping what the developers said were true. Get right to the point if you are firing the machine gun the helicopter won't turn around. The touch anywhere multitouch controls still malfunction especially when using the machine gun. ex. You touch the screen to fire machine gun then the game makes the sound like its firing but it's not and the little HUD aiming control is ontop of the helicopter like a glitch and of course you can't aim because there are no bullets coming out of the machine gun. I use a 3 month old iPhone 4s and a I pad 2 so it's not my stuff that glitches this is why I try not to purchase any apps because they are never exactly how the say.

Elegant and lovely!

Chopper 2's creators must be roundly praised for having created simply the best side-scrolling game ever. Challenging on all levels, it remains an enjoyable diversion fully a year after first purchasing it.

Chopper 2 is so far ahead of other similarly formatted games as to be entirely in a class by itself.

One can only hope there's a Chopper 3 in the works.

The game has a couple of bugs...

This game is fun, and has a really cool concept of playing with two devices, one as a controller and one as a monitor. The controller mode works very well between my iPad mini (1st gen) and my iPod touch (5th gen), however, when I try to use either device with my Apple TV, the picture turns to portrait mode, and I lose control. (No buttons work, I can't control with the accelerometer, etc.) Aside from that, the display on my iPod doesn't fit the screen, because the app is not optimized for iPhone/iPod touch 5th generation devices. I would enjoy this game much more if these issues were fixed.

Excellent, but ....

One of the city games is virtually impossible to win because of the massive amount of firepower. What's the point? Also, one of the snow games is extremely difficult because there is no laser aiming device and the weapons cannot be aimed against the white background. What good are weapons that can't be aimed?
