I have several Defender systems and had this app for a couple of years. I have both the original system and the Defender HD 1080p systems at different locations. I have been thinking of upgrading to a 4K system. With that in mind I have tried to stay loyal to Defender but since they have apparently decided to not to support their past customers by not maintaining this app I am in turn not supporting Defender any longer and will now move on to the Reolink 4K system. Hopefully Reolink will continue to support their customers better than Defender has.

APP REALLY NEEDS UPDATED AND FIXED!!!
This app has been on a steady decline for quite some time. For whatever reason this company will not stand by its products and they obviously will not update their app.
The last time this has been updated was 2 years ago! We are 2 major iOS versions into the future and this app is no longer stable. It crashes constantly.
I contacted the company about it and they told me that because my camera equipment is no longer under warranty, they weren’t going to fix the app. They seem to think that the camera equipment somehow makes the app crash on an iPhone? Really?! Not sure what they are thinking, but that makes no sense at all.
I really hope they read these reviews and will take measures to fix this app to make it compatible with the latest phones and operating systems.

Won't connect to device
**UPDATE**
This company is by far THE WORST in customer service! In the midst of getting help, he just decided to up and leave the chat and transfers it to someone else!! How is that even possible?! I would post pictures of the convo if I could. Apparently my device has the wrong IP address🙄 WORST COMPANY EVER! And I never say that!!! Don't waste your time buying this product and expect to use it on your phone! This app doesn't even deserve stars!

We have tried to connect to our device over and over and to no avail. Please fix your app. No sense in offering it when it's a waste of everyone's time. We paid good money for the cameras and should be able to access the view(s) on our phones. Fix your stuff Defender!

Selecting a day in the last week of month is broke
Although the app states it's for the iPhone, I've been using the previous version on my iPad without issues. This 1.05 upgrade partially works. When selecting the calendar to review video, you Cannot select any days in the last week of the calendar. Since we are in the last week of Dec, I can't select any days in the last calendar row. It's the same case when I select prev months.

Works fine
The camera system is excellent, it's done everything that it was supposed to do. The app is simple. And it also does what it is supposed to do. My only complaint is that when you go back in to view the live cameras sometimes you have to re-save the device in that section, and set up was a little tricky.

Works well for me
Clearvu does everything I need it to do. I can view live cameras when I'm at home or away from. I can record video clips and take pictures of recordings.
The one thing I'd like to do is share videos via email or text, and that doesn't appear to be possible. Maybe a future update could make that possible.

Disappointment.
I too have had in my system for years and all of a sudden it to stop connecting to my iPhone. It works fine on a monitor, but I would love to take a view of my home when I’m not there. And that was the whole purpose of buying the system. My only disappointment is , there’s no tech Support or a fix That we can download to correct their issue. It’s as though they don’t care.I am now considering another brand.

App no longer connects
I’ve had the system for a few years now and it’s great. But the app won’t connect to the device manager anymore. I’ve deleted the app, downloaded again, and set it up again....nothing, it still won’t connect. Why won’t you fix your app? This issue has been popping up since you updated the app LAST YEAR!

I don’t know why someone will give a bad review. This app works awesome! If you can’t figure out how to set it up then customer service is there to help you as they did to me. They were great people!

Update broke the software
Been using the system and software for about three years, then saw an update on the App Store which claimed to be bug fixes. Updated, and now live video stopped working (on three different iPhones); please fix ASAP.
